Not that it matters, the "weighted ball" is called a clunk pickup. Can always get one from a local hobby shop, they sell them for model airplane fuel pickup, so that a model plane can fly upside down and such. Great video once again.
The v3.0 seems like you may possibly get a crack if you drop it. Just seems like it from the sound it made when you handled it, the plastic seems more brittle. Outstanding review, thank you!
Josh, I've always enjoyed keeping my car clean, but I wasn't in love with my last car. I've got a new car I love and finally getting back into car car after 9 years. The market has totally changed. That V3 looks top-heavy to me. The base is smaller while the bottle is taller. I DO like the graduated clear bottle with the twist-lock neck. I would recommend to MJJC for their next model (Version 4?) to use the shape of the V2 bottle but in a graduated, clear plastic. The MJJC Pro I got from you along with the 2.0 is good enough for me. And, thanks for the tips.👍
I purchased the MJJC S 3.0 and after two weeks I bumped it off a 20" wall by where I was my cars and the bottle shattered. The foam cannon is awesome and the company was awesome and offered to send me another bottle but it's gonna be the same brittle plastic. I wish I had known this ahead of time and bought the Pro foam cannon for roughly the same price.

I’m with you!!! I spent ~$120 on the MTM and was not impressed at all…much prefer the mjjc pro 2.0…still trying to figure out why this S 3.0 is also listed at $90 though 😬
The MTM is still a sick foam cannon. While everyone goes gaga for extra thick foam, it actually has less cleaning ability than the slightly runnier foam. Though the MTM still can put put buckets of shaving cream. The one advantage of MTM's is that you can purchase additional bottles and bottle caps. So you can have a bunch of capped of bottles of premixed solution, one for wheels, one for degreaser, on and on...and just switch the bottles out. This way you also don't have to use and clean out the solution if you don't want/need to.
I love MJJC Pro.v2. Apparently it is the same, but with a different bottle, with a thread that is difficult to replace in case of breakage. Regarding megafoam, Josh you have to try the 3D SUPER SOAP shampoo, the foam it makes is INSANE. It is FAR SUPERIOR to Adams Megafoam. Greetings from Argentina

@@imjoshv 🤣🤣I see. I got the gauntlet partly from what you wrote in your description and partly from one of your videos. I may give the Dreadnought a try in the future then. 👍👍 Did you end up switching over to using the Rapid Dry Towels? They're lighter but thinner. I watched your comparison video released back in Jan. I'm just not sure if thinner is as useful when used as a drying towel. As you know too very well, the weight of heavier towels actually allows you to more easily place the towel flatter onto a front or top panel as compared to a lighter/thinner towel. I know you liked the thinner towels for its faster drying capability but I'm not washing multiple cars a day so that matters to me less. Most the time I like lighter vs heavier but for getting that drying towel onto the top/front panels, heavier seems to be better in that particular use case. 🍻🍻
Hi Josh, recent subscriber to you channel and really like the content and detail you put into it. It’s not easy to not only make the video, but also to keep the info real, practical and truthful. I don’t think I’ll every technically wear out any of the MJJC foam cannons, but I have plenty of experience with o-ring seals on hydraulic fittings and believe me they will fail over time. I’m sure that you will have the those foam cannons working hard a lot, every day, unlike a guy like me that may use it once a week, and that depends on the weather. Besides trucks are make to have a little mud on the tires. I’ll be getting the Pro V2 from you, for making this video for us and looking forward to some tips and reviews on care cleaning products from your past content. Thanks for all the great reviews Josh. I have recently bought an Active 2.0 based on your review and I'm probably going to get the MJJC S V3.0 foam cannon. Can you tell me what I would need to purchase to connect the two. Thanks for your time and very helpful and entertaining videos. Ian from Barrie Ontario.
Another GREAT Review! I have to agree with others. I'm not convinced the new Color with the tall skinny bottle is worth the Extra $15 although I really like the Quarter Turn ultra clear bottle does add some value. As with everything New & Improved the price point will likely move down once the supply chain is saturated and pre sales normalize.
I have the MJJC Pro and Chemical Guys but my Chemical Guys one does foam close to the MJJC but maybe different soaps makes them closer as never used that particular soap though
Each head gives you a different PIR, matched dilution in the bottle means nothing when you are adding water (from pressure washer) to drive it toward the panel. It would be interesting to see matched PIR for foam generation.
Josh this is the exact video I was looking for. I picked up the 2000psi Greenworks from Costco today. In that video you said a 3.5 does 800psi @ 1.8gpm. Would a 3.0 be ok or is t better to have GPM and under 1000psi for car detail?
Quick question. Have seen quite a few videos like yours using the short pressure washer guns. Other than ease of use, is there a foam advantage to using these over the longer pressure washer guns? thanks for your channel
Picked up a chemical guys torq 8 foam cannon from Ollie's for $40. Put the MJJC filter in it and the foam was noticably thicker and stuck to the car for much longer. I have a cheaper pressure washer that only puts out 1000psi and 1gpm so I'm curious what that cannon would do with ~2000psi and 2 gpm.
7:19 weirdly enough, my mjjc foam cannon s v3 only came with one gasket on the bottle. hopefully it will not leak. i will reply with an update after i use it
Nice review as always Josh! I don't see myself setting my pro V2 on the shelf & putting up $90 to color coordinate my foam cannon with my uber flex hose however.😁
Great reviews and thanks to you, I've gone down the detailing rabbit hole. My question is , is Tucool Racing and MJJC the same company? They have a similar product and the Tucool foam cannons are the only other one except the MJJC to use the 3pc foam maker filters.
Only gripe with the new one is that is uses a clear plastic that even seems thinner which usually doesn't hold up to uv and element exposure, that it shouldn't see much of, that might make it decay faster than it's predecessor. It also leaks excessively when turned up side down.
The adams 2.0 came out before the active 2.0 They are both great machines and the adams seems a bit quieter, but the actives performance number are hard to beat.. It really depends on which featured on most important to you, but if i were choosubg one right now id have to go with the active
@@imjoshv Thanks for the feedback. I'm just putting together my plans but I'm leaning towards the active 2.0 with an essential washer, uberflex hose and mjjc v3 foam cannon. How does that sound?
Upon looking at pressure washer tip orifice requirements the tip sizes usually start around 2.0 and increase from there. My question is, what impact do small foam cannon orifice sizes (e.g., "1.1, 1.25") have on pressure washers? I seem to recall you indicating in one of your videos (I believe it was the one that you did recently with Pan the Organizer) that small orifice sizes can cause significant back pressure and potentially damage the pressure washer over time. Thanks for the great videos!
Hi thanks for the question. The problem is with the terminology which im guilty of myself. With the foam cannon it has 1.25mm and a 1.1mm orifice. When we speak about the pressure washer nozzle tips whether they are 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, etc... that. not actually the mm size its just how tips are labeled. The true sizes are as follows: a 3.5 nozzle has a hole size of 1.22mm, a 4.0 nozzle has a hole size of 1.32mm and so on... So as you can see a 1.25mm orifice in a foam cannon is pretty much the same as using a 3.5 nozzle. A 1.1 would be close to using a 2.5 or 3.0 nozzle... As long as its not causing the machine to peak to high in amps you are good to go!!!
Yea color is awesome. As far as the clear bottle goes, I’ve had experience with clear spray bottles in the past and the clear ones did have the possibility of breaking down faster it seemed. I’ll use this one and beat it up pretty good to test out the longevity of it!!!
I wonder what orifices these have over the cg because I have the torq foamer from cg and it has always sucked and doesn’t do well. I ordered a cheap clear one from Amazon for 30 just now and I’m sure it will perform better than my current one and it comes with a 1.1mm and I’m using a gas washer with 2.4 gpm
Torq has a bigger orifice than 1.1. Not sure how much bigger but it's larger than 1.1. Just put a 1.1 and mjjc filter in my torq and it performed much better
Great video Josh! I'm new to mobile detailing. Using water from a gravity fed water tank and Ryobi pressure washer can I expect the same level of foam, and if not can I make adjustments to my setup to maximize performance?
Great video I love the way it looks when you do get mjjc 3.0 I believe I will buy it off your site but right now I love my Griots Garage brilliant finish foam cannon plus I love the looks
great review Josh, I do have trouble with the mjjc v2 top when I have to unscrew the top from the bottle I have to use channel lock pliers to move the bottle. This new S v 3.0 connection looks much better.
I saw that mentioned on another video before. I haven’t had that issue but the build of pressure makes sense that it could do that. And I agree the new connection point on the s 3.0 is really cool!
If you think they are getting somewhat clogged up, as in the mixture is not coming out right , you can (very carefully) spray them with a little bit of clean water. If they are really clogged up they sell those with the extra orifices on Amazon, hope this helps
A bit off topic. I have a Wrangler with a few black decals. I used wax that was suppose to be ok to use. They all now have a whitish film to them. How can I get these like new again?
Thanks for that product review Josh. I love the MJJC foam cannons as I have the foam cannon pro but this new one is very intriguing. Might get it just for the sake of having it. The performance on the Sv3 is perfect. I'll have to add that to my arsenal
My new S v3 has a small hole molded into the lid, apparently to allow air to enter the bottle while dispensing the liquid. If the foam cannon tips over, it leaks, which is rather annoying.
Hi, I just ordered this cannon from the website. I have an electric pressure washer 1600psi. Wondering if when using the cannon is the pressure washer hooked up to a garden hose water supply or is the foam just being produced from the solution and water from the cannon itself? Thanks in advance those who answer!
@@imjoshv not sure if they updated there label on that. But it’s only 1oz you add to it. They have it at 4oz which is way to much. Just wanted to give you the heads up. Looking forward to your review on it 😉
Where can I get replacement steel mesh filers for the mjjc pro? I've had if for 7 months and I think it might be time to change them out. Is it just the steel mesh or does it have another filter as you mentioned it has 3.
I got a strange result with the ryobi 1800 and Mjjc S v3 setup, more thick foam came out with a larger orifice installed inside, when I changed it to 1.1 orifice, the foam came out very runny. maybe it's because of chemical guys grape shampoo, today I will buy and try adams mega foam and test again

Ah! That makes perfect sense. Thanks for the fast reply and detailed explanation!@@imjoshv
Any thoughts on the MATCC foam cannon?
Gonna buy the pro now… really excited to see Koch chemie GSF in it
Awesome video! I just recieved mine today and am looking forward to using it and making a video! Just have to wait for our upcoming rain to pass👍
Is there a connector for the AVA presseurewasher?
I like that it's blue. Matches with my MTM blue gun. IDK how i feel about the clear bottle wonder how it will hold up.
Yea color is awesome. As far as the clear bottle goes, I’ve had experience with clear spray bottles in the past and the clear ones did have the possibility of breaking down faster it seemed. I’ll use this one and beat it up pretty good to test out the longevity of it!!!
Should the 900ml water 100ml snow foam be added. Before use. I can only see 33 ounces no water in the cannon bottle. Thanks
Yey! You did the review of this foam cannon !
I have to break down and spend the money to get one of these. Very Impressive
Always dropping great content!
Thanks!
@@imjoshv your videos been very help for my detailing thanks 🙏
I would prefer the bottle of the Pro model; shorter and wider base would make it less tippy? Thanks for the video. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
As always like your video, one thing you left out was the leak test.
As always, GREAT INFORMATIVE video. I appreciate how much information you have created and shared over the years!
I appreciate that!
What’s The quietest pressure washer in your opinion?
Love all your videos ❤
Any update as to when you’ll have them on your site? Thanks
great review Josh, I do have trouble with the mjjc v2 top when I have to unscrew the top from the bottle I have to use channel lock pliers to move the bottle. This new S v 3.0 connection looks much better.
I saw that mentioned on another video before. I haven’t had that issue but the build of pressure makes sense that it could do that. And I agree the new connection point on the s 3.0 is really cool!
So what soap foam do you recommend to be washing a Black Chevrolet Suburban?
Have the Pro 2 from you.....can we clean the filters or do we need to buy new after so many washes?
If you think they are getting somewhat clogged up, as in the mixture is not coming out right , you can (very carefully) spray them with a little bit of clean water. If they are really clogged up they sell those with the extra orifices on Amazon, hope this helps
A bit off topic. I have a Wrangler with a few black decals. I used wax that was suppose to be ok to use. They all now have a whitish film to them. How can I get these like new again?
Try a finishing polish with a white pad.
Thanks for that product review Josh. I love the MJJC foam cannons as I have the foam cannon pro but this new one is very intriguing. Might get it just for the sake of having it. The performance on the Sv3 is perfect. I'll have to add that to my arsenal
Love that you test with lower end washer.
Thank you!
My new S v3 has a small hole molded into the lid, apparently to allow air to enter the bottle while dispensing the liquid. If the foam cannon tips over, it leaks, which is rather annoying.
Do you normally see a film left behind from the adams mega foam?
Is this legit?
Nice one mate. The MJJC pro v3 is on its way in the next couple of months. Which I got from a good source 😉
Any more news on it?
Hi, I just ordered this cannon from the website. I have an electric pressure washer 1600psi. Wondering if when using the cannon is the pressure washer hooked up to a garden hose water supply or is the foam just being produced from the solution and water from the cannon itself? Thanks in advance those who answer!
You need to try the diy incredible suds. add 1oz to the mjjc. That give out foam it’s like abit better the the Adams
I actually have some that I haven’t tried out yet… I’ll test that out thanks!!
@@imjoshv not sure if they updated there label on that. But it’s only 1oz you add to it. They have it at 4oz which is way to much. Just wanted to give you the heads up. Looking forward to your review on it 😉
Just got the MJJC Pro V2 what’s best snow foam
Where can I get replacement steel mesh filers for the mjjc pro? I've had if for 7 months and I think it might be time to change them out. Is it just the steel mesh or does it have another filter as you mentioned it has 3.
How do I convert the 3/8 quick connect on the Mackillans swivel hub handle to 1/4?
Rolls Royce employee told me that they wash their cars with Liquid Ivory Body Wash - Snuggle Fabric Softener is a very good rinse wax .
So there's a Pro V3 coming
There is! I think they are going in to production in September. I’ve seen some pics from the factory and I’ll have them in stock as soon as I can
Hey buddy, it’s seems the mjjc foam cannon isn’t available on Amazon. Or have they rebranded
Yeah my pro2 the plastic threads stripped so now the bottle won’t stay on so it’s basically a 80 dollar paper weight 😩
Bought a foam cannon a decade ago for like $18.00. Still working
