I'm actually in shock that MTM of all companies wouldn't bring out something that is not the best of the best. This is a let down. Thanks as always for an excellent and real time video.
Got Griots Boss when it 1st came out a thousand yrs ago still works perfectly. all quality plus the stainless components. definately best cannon out there. if when it breaks I'm going cheapo cannon. they all foam the same with a 1.1 orifice. no need to spend almost 100$ for a foam cannon. spend your $ on quality chem8cals and pressure washer hose n quick connects over any cannon.

Just receieved my MTM PF 22.2 and spent about 5 minutes working in the new lid and it now works much better. I definitely like the wide mount and sprayer head so I'm excited to give it a go this weekend.
What I noticed with using both is that the mtm uses way less solution than any other foam cannon so yeah the v3 foams more but it eats thru way more solution
I like your videos. Can I make a little suggestion? When doing pressure washing videos, use a dirty vehicle. Everyone uses a clean or barely dirty car. Watching you clean a dirty vehicle would be much more appealing because just washing soap off isn’t the same. Great videos though in all. Thanks
Great review, thanks. I am sure they will be able to fix this, sad to see that a company like MTM didn't pay attention to this cap issue, I mean I am sure they know about it but they didn't worked on it.
When I saw these go live on the MTM site I was so confused to see they use the old lids and don’t have a new quarter turn lid for these. Defeats the whole purpose for me.
I’m on the other side of the world but wanted to ask. If I bought the new mtm cannon and it had the option to choose a karcher adapter for weekend warriors like myself. Should I still get the part in the box for the 1/4” quick connect plug? Or would they keep that. It was the same price standard or with the karcher adapter. So I guess it’s fair for them to keep it? It’s a new pressure washer and in the near future I would have looked at buying a better trigger/handle for washing my cars
It's a foam cannon at the end of the day. From a $12 Amazon special to the MJJC they function the same way. There are better materials and more precision but functionally there's not a whole lot they can change. The biggest change I've seen was the Griots one that you pour pure soap in and it dilutes it on its own but I'm not a big fan of it because it goes through too much product. There's an extent to which a foam cannon is a foam cannon. If it's designed for cap soaps and not general cleaners, it's probably built the same way.
@@JeffreySmith-m3y nah. That’s why some are built better and make more or less foam. Mtm isn’t $12. They got lazy and thought by name alone they sell it.
Got to say it will take an impressively spectacular new cannon for me to switch from my MJJC S V3 because it could literally make foam from water alone, meaning for just a quick wash you barely need any chemical in the cannon to cover the car, but for regular maintenance wash and the correct PIR it covers the car so well and effortless.

So glad I searched (and found) your video on this Josh. I recently ordered this MTM cannon in the original version (narrow top), however I was sent the wide opening top. I thought I scored big time, until I tried (and tried) in vain to tighten the top of the bottle (black top) and thought *wth*. I thought it was either defective or I was just not strong. Then I considered oiling the tabs a bit or maybe just rubbing soap on it to help tighten it. I didn’t try that but I’m considering it. I did swap out the orafice to the 1.1 since I’ll be using it with my Ryobi 1800 PSI electric power washer. Hopefully I’ll either get stronger or my cannon top will wear in.
Thank you for the video! This is exactly what I’m looking for. I have two PF 22.2 that I’m not ready to give up, yet, so the conversion kits are perfect for me. I have two conversion kits coming in a couple days. Brother has a Griots Boss which I like but not enough to obsolete two other expensive cannons.
Thanks! Yea I try to do my videos without a lot of planning and the initial way those bottles were I was pretty disappointed but after it broke in it worked pretty well. And as always the mtm head unit is great
Is the stainless steel weighted ball at 7:01 shown available for purchase separately for those that already have the older version? Is the draw tube the same as the previous as well? I looked at their website, but was unsuccessful in finding the weighted ball
I would like to know this as well I ordered three of these adapter kits from Josh as soon as this video dropped and all I got was the bottles and lids I didn’t even think about that in the video it’s an entire canon kit that came with them so I emailed him mentioning about not getting them but I guess they only come with the entire new foam canon kit I just assumed they would come with the adapter kit as well🫤
Looks like we're gonna have to pull out the exacto knife to shave off that flash from their poor molding on that plastic.. not exactly th high standards ud expect but it can be fixed.. might wait on th pro 3.. thanks for all ur efforts in bringing us content
It looks like the adapter kit does not come with the tube weight. Is that right? I saw you mention you were checking if the weights would be available separate.
Josh… I just received my wide body PF22.2 today. I previously used the MJJC Pro which was great. I was not going to buy a PF until they had a wide body. Narrow was ridiculous. I too did not like the looks of the PF wide body manufacturing. I shaved the grey tabs moulded poorly with a sharp utility blade. Also the top rim of the bottle has a rough top edge that sticks up. (Mounding point)it will rip the seal and cause tightening issues. I shaved with sharp utility knife smooth then sanded entire top rim using 1000 grit paper then 1500 on a flat surface. (Counter) . I wrapped about 5 layers of teflon tape on the top that connects to sprayer and crazy glued the plastic to metal connection to prevent top from releasing from sprayer when you unscrew bottle. I think my problem is solved. Also the connector that connects to your hose that you screw on had way too many layers of teflon tape. Maybe 5. Reduced to about 1 1/2 rotations.
Yeah, putting the head on to the adapter first makes it 100 times easier thanks to the added leverage of the head length when doing the quick connect turn. Biggest benefit of the MTM over the MJJC is the product usage. MTM is WAY more efficient in product usage for the results than any of the MJJC offerings, which is especially helpful when foaming wheel cleaners straight, etc. MTM for me!
Great review mate just got mine just the same as yours thought there was a fault on it could not get the lid on at first until you start turning it a few times machineing not great on the bottle 80 pounds here in the uk
Gotta agree for some weird reason I like the sound of the mtm I noticed it when I had an old pf22. Also could you make a video on how fast these foam cannons go through their soap solution I’ve seen people say the mjjc goes through the liquid faster than the mtm or other foam cannons
The MJJC's definitely go through the liquid fast no matter what setting it's on. I can maybe make a full coverage pass, or pass & half before it's depleted. So, I would love to see that video.
European here so sorry for the unit measurements. My setup gets 6.0Lpm output from the short trigger gun. MJJC Pro v2 with 1.1mm orifice produces 6570ml per 1000ml of solution. MTM PF22.2/3 with 1.1mm orifice produces 8500ml per 1000ml of solution. Respectively, MJJC Pro v2 with 1.25mm orifice produces 7580ml/1000ml and MTM PF22.2/3 with 1.25mm orifice produces 9750ml/1000ml. Take from that what you will, hope that helps. 👍
Ill stick with my griots boss. When you pay for top of the line, you expect and should recieve perfection. Listen to how the mjjc sounds. So smooth, way better than MTM. Great video
I’m so glad that I watched this video. I was just about to order the MJJC Pro V2. I’ll wait for the V3 to come out and for your review to see if it’s an improvement or not.

The mjjc sv3 has a nice wide base just not as wide as the mjjc pro… it was laying on its side in the video but I was rushing so I just tossed it down so I could try to compare the foams side by side without too much time in between. But if you want the extra wide base to be safe go with the mjjc pro or the griots boss
Hey there I’m completely new to this and was curious if you have a series dedicated to how to detail a car in and out rather it be one 3-6 hour video or a bunch of 20min videos I’d appreciate it and enjoy the content
Thought I was trippin , couldn’t get the quick disconnect on, they sent me a bunk one that didn’t fit with or without the teflon tape, very upsetting , got to get a new one from lowes
Honestly i bought the MJJC and i actually like my $50 3D foam cannon more. I think the 3D gives me more range of foam which is what i find myself caring about. I'm not a heavy, shaving cream type foam person. I want foam that carries away dirt in about 3-4 minutes. If the foam is too heavy it takes too long. Having the variety also allows me to create the right setting on different soaps. If i go Koch Chemie Gsf I want a different setting than with Carpro Reset for example. Its probably just my preference but i just dont need a lot of the "advancements" they're making. I want a variety of foam is what i want.
I have a stub nose gun from Adam’s without the swivel. Can you recommend a swivel adapter with a QD that I can order? I’m already ordering the Active 2.0, the Uber flex hose and the QD kit that you recommended. Thank you in advance.
It's a shame that the weighted filter doesn't come with the wide neck bottle too for users upgrading from the narrow neck original. They should've just stuck with a screw thread connection too. Those bottles are probably outsourced and the next batch will probably be a better fit but I'd still prefer to see a screw thread instead. Thanks for the comparison test tho. 👍🏾
Great video and thorough review, Josh. IMO, MTM really missed the quality mark, and at that price point, that shouldn't happen. I'll stick with using a $0.99 funnel on my old PF22, or beter yet, just run with my MJJC.
Thanks for the information. I was excited to see the new Mtm cannon at first but I’m going to stay with the Mjjc brand after your review. I don’t have the strength of Hulk to use the Mtm, but I might have his rage after trying. 😂
IMHOSHV, I am asking this question to you, since i am still new to the Detailing world. If you use Cerakote ceramic coating, and let it cure... and top it off a day later with Tec582, will it extend the the life of the Cerakote?
Still waiting for the weighted ball filter hose end to show up on your website I keep checking the foam cannon section and nothing is there unless it’s under a different category? I thought I remember you saying you ordered some and would be getting them in in about a week and that was almost 3 weeks ago lol
Are you planning on reviewing the new Ryobi 2,500 PSI, 1.2 GPM electric pressure washer? I just got one from Home Depot and after watching a lot of your videos I'm curious what your opinion of it is.
what pipe did u use for bypass on DI water system I LOve my MJJC FOAM canon clear bottle easily see how product im using for dilution also have MTM foam canon im happy with it small opening on top is a negative not sure if i want to spent money for upgraded bottle I’m thinking more of Griots boss foam canon the specs and solid built on that looks good awesome video been watching your videos for little been learning a lot keep up the good work
Yea the new mjjc pro v3 that will be out at some point this year is supposed to have a larger opening! For my bypass it’s just a blue pex line that I put together
I’m not a fan of the wide mouth bottles, especially with its own threads and size opening. The benefit of the small mouths ones is you can use any water bottle. You’re not limited to their bottles. I have multiple bottles for different soaps. I also have different sizes and caps for them all. I like the fact that this one is just an adapter and can still be used with small mouth bottles.
When you or MTM be selling the weight for the tube straw by itself? I bought 2 of these and used one today and not great with quick connect since poor plastic molding job. MJJC SV 3.0 which has more imbalance weight distribution toward the tip vs the MTM , but slightly better foam and the original MTM doesn't have the weight feed tube which is much better help for the roof. I will be interested to See the PRO version 3 when it come out.
Yea I’ve seen the drawings for the mjjc pro and it looks like a mix of the sv3 and the pro. Same shape as the pro now but with the quick turn connection. They say more foam too but I’m not sure about that. I don’t have the mtm weights but I’ll see if they will be offering them
Listen, I was an MJJC lover I love it but I just found out about the MTM. My only issue with the MJJc is that bottle is too brittle. I broke two of them so far I was gonna order a third but I’m like now. Let me try something different. Hopefully this one will last and could take a few drops. Like yesterday, I dropped the MGC for the first time in the bottle broke. The head is too heavy for how thin the plastic is that they use.
@imjoshv i also ended buying three extra bottles with caps. It's like having five foam canons because all I have to do is swap bottles and I can run a different soap without throwing away whats in the other bottle. I can cap it and set it aside for when I want to test a new chemical.

Hey there I’m completely new to this and was curious if you have a series dedicated to how to detail a car in and out rather it be one 3-6 hour video or a bunch of 20min videos I’d appreciate it and enjoy the content
Great video, I have the mjjc foam cannon and a Kranzle 1122tst and it' not making great foam. Any suggestions to get a nice thick foam?
Haha
IMHOSHV, I am asking this question to you, since i am still new to the Detailing world.
If you use Cerakote ceramic coating, and let it cure... and top it off a day later with Tec582, will it extend the the life of the Cerakote?
What brand hose do you use?
Still waiting for the weighted ball filter hose end to show up on your website I keep checking the foam cannon section and nothing is there unless it’s under a different category? I thought I remember you saying you ordered some and would be getting them in in about a week and that was almost 3 weeks ago lol
5:15 if "Well, damnit" was a look. 😂
I see you have a blue hose and blue gun, do they that hose and gun in red?
Josh 10 pumps of gyeon equal about what part of an once? Thanks for the information. Al, NJ.
Does the adapter kit come with the bottle or is it just the cap?
Cap and bottle.
Are you planning on reviewing the new Ryobi 2,500 PSI, 1.2 GPM electric pressure washer? I just got one from Home Depot and after watching a lot of your videos I'm curious what your opinion of it is.
How would that MJJC perform on a greasy, oily tractor? Thanks.
what pipe did u use for bypass on DI water system I LOve my MJJC FOAM canon clear bottle easily see how product im using for dilution also have MTM foam canon im happy with it small opening on top is a negative not sure if i want to spent money for upgraded bottle I’m thinking more of Griots boss foam canon the specs and solid built on that looks good awesome video been watching your videos for little been learning a lot keep up the good work
Mjjc foam cannon seems like the best as of now
Yea the new mjjc pro v3 that will be out at some point this year is supposed to have a larger opening!
Can you review the new garden hose MTM foam canon?
Much love Josh❤️
Where can I get a new hose and weighted ball for my old mtms?
I don’t have the mtm weights but I’ll see if they will be offering them
I have the normal mtm put the smaller orifice in I’m using the Ryobi 1800 and I can’t get the foam very thick. And Mr pink suds Any ideas?
This kit should come with an exacto knife. And a file.
Hi josh this is sad because there old one is good. Thank you for making a review on it.
After watching this i feel the MJJC runs faster then the PF22 on the last test.
Hey Josh. Got a link for that magsafe iPhone holder you got around your neck?
You bet here you go! www.amazon.com/dp/B0CLRHYNP4/?tag=detailgreen-20
Ottimo video!!!!! È assurdo che in Italia 🇮🇹 non è ancora arrivata la nuova bottiglia 😢😢😢
Adaptor doesnt come with the weighted ball? That is a disappointment for sure.
They should have smoother those down or use a different mold.
Yeah it just didn’t feel as perfect as it should have
Finally with large opening, I’l replace my original mtm for sure. It’s kinda pita to fill water without overflowing all the time.
Yea absolutely. The attachment on the side mouth is a pain at first but it does wear down and function much better!
Off to buy another MJJC S V3 😅
They are both great options but that would be my choice as well
@imjoshv i also ended buying three extra bottles with caps. It's like having five foam canons because all I have to do is swap bottles and I can run a different soap without throwing away whats in the other bottle. I can cap it and set it aside for when I want to test a new chemical.
Can't say tightening the MTM with soapy hands looks fun. I'll stick with MJJC thanks.
10 pumps is like the standard use for Gyeon Bathe?
I usually go 15
@@imjoshv ok got you Josh
Nice Review !!
What do you think about Swift? Stealing the design of MJJC? I mean now they are both almost $100 which is insane
Great video - hopefully they address issues , mine turns well - the new kit was worth the money for the upgrades but I’m
Toxic and love toxic relationships shout out to veloci
Haha… once i broke it in it worked well for me! And I still love the performance of the pf22 head unit so it’s still a great option!!
