Hi Nosipho, I actually saw Accutane products at discem and I wanted to know if the products work the same as the Accutane pills?
Hhheeh! I've never related to a video like this in my entire existence.. So I tried almost every product under the sun including contraceptives (I waited till i was 18 so my mom wouldn't know, hey I was legal now :D) but that also didn't work. Tried Santoor, Clearasil, Garnier Pure Active, Dove, (even soaps from grandma, you know those soaps you can't find anywhere and they're black or brown wrapped in paper? Ja, those) just to name a few... Then last year I started using the Benzac AC starter pack. Well everything started off well, but the Benzac AC5 Gel dried my face so badly I got a dry flaky patch around my mouth and nose I thought I had mild eczema... Bottom line is my skin is clear now with the Benzac AC5, I just don't use the gel anymore. A LOT OF WATER ALSO HELPS A LOT, AND WASHING YOUR FACE AGAIN BEFORE YOU GO TO BED!! And also I used Vaseline along my dry patches so now it's gone, but I still use it to keep the patches off bay.
And just to let you in on my little secret, I use the DQUIP Facial Cleaner brush to massage the Benzaderm cleanser on my face, it has a silicone brush. I highly recommend it, you can get it at Dischem for R115. it's WORTH IT.
I could go on and on, but people should know also not to go to bed with make up and also change your pillow case more often, you'll see a huge difference! And KEEP HYDRATED AT ALL TIMES!!!

Recently found your channel, I'm on my fifth month of oratane 40mg and the side effects are so unbearable, I missed my period and I did the pregnancy test& it was negative, have u ever experienced such or any 1 in here who used to take the medication and experienced such? pls assist my next appointment is in December and I'm stressed

I relate . I also like to pop my pimples and I don't have acne. I develop pimples then pop them and develop dark marks. Now I have horrible dark marks. And this started last year in my first year of varsity. 💔
I wouldn't say i have acne, but i have annoying pimples on my nose and forehead that won't go away. Will benzyol peroxide hekp??

The generic version is called Oratane and the prices vary depending on the dosage, the higher the dose the more expensive it is. The 10mg starts at about R 350 for 60 tablets.
Accutane is a very strong medication and you need to be monitored while you take it so you need to get a prescription.

I’ve just been put off Doxycycline because I’m allergic💀 after having tried so many topical products already has filled me so much despair😩 I might just be willing to die for good skin🤣
I been through the same trauma... Doxy for 3 months, moved to bactrim for 6months with Retin A ointment. It was good and well faithfully finished the course skin cleared. But alas! 1year later pimples are back and worse... But TODAY after trying a zillion products I gave up and went back to the Doctor. Im starting my Accutane 20mg. Hopefully this will help permanently this time around. Thank you for such an informative video.

I started Oratane today and I'm already feeling the painful joints. I am a bit worried because my doctor gave me Doxy and Oratane. Isn't that like gonna cause nasty effects?

I stopped after 4 months. My skin is clear. I was on Doxycycline for a month. The painful joints were a once off, I only suffered from dry lips. But Oratane (Isotretinoin) works.

Hey Nosipho :) .. question: so you were on oratane 20mg for 5 months? And it basically cured the acne permanently in your case? ... coz I'm on 20mg too and I keep reading that id need 120-150mg/kg to cure it permanently and according to my calculations that means id have to take it for 13 months! Or maybe I got it all wrong. . I just don't wana take it for that long then suffer again after a few months and have to go on a 2nd course..

This is probably very late,i was also on accutane, but I used it in 2016 and was on it for 3 months, you start seeing results in a week. Hope this helps
