    Remove actuators, bonnet hinges will bolt straight onto the car body as alternative brackets are there ready. Add 1.6 ohm resistors to the wiring each side that were removed from.the actuators. You now have the same setup as an E63 AMG whose owners were luckily spared the inconvenience of this feature.

    good morning Luis being a intermittent fault and a mates car i would have swapped left and right sensors gave him the car back to see if the fault moved but as the part was relatively cheap it was worth a punt and its out of your hair ps that bit of glass looks like a bit of granulated toughened glass from side windows not a bit from a laminated front screen which rarely breaks in granules

    Do you know the resistance of a working sensor? Would it be an option to put a resistor in to either eliminate the fault or to even bypass the sensor permanently

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am pretty sure that these are not that type of sensor... resistors will not do the trick...

    Before ending this video...as i remember there was written REAR left/right sensor, until now you talking about front sensors!? Right???

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  ปีที่แล้ว

      Rear sensor was never written anywhere... as far as I remember...
      The sensors are indeed the front ones as shown later in the video...

    Good evening,
    I have exactly the same problem with a broken sensor after an accident as yours.
    I have now replaced the sensor with a new one but I still have the same fault code as yours (communication with the left active engine hood sensor is faulty).
    I couldn't delete the error with maxisys. Maybe its only possible with the XENTRY diagnostic device? I also have a resistance value of 2,457Ohm on the sensor maybe is this too much.

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Have you checked wiring?
      The sensor you installed, was a new genuine sensor?
      👍👍👍

      @@LMAutoRepairs the wiring looked ok for me and the sensor was second hand but from a shop that i knew. Should i check the Ohm of wiring?

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would...
      That sounds like a wiring or sensor issue...
      If you swap the good one with the bad one, does the faults changes?

    Hi i have same faults on my 2019 w205 c220d. I have changed 1 sensor but still same fault. Do you think it could be other sensor or wiring problem?
    And is there more than 2 of these sensors?

      Function 'Pedestrian Protection' left sensor fault - short circuit to ground (Current and Stored)
