As i have ask before, please take us racing with you. I might be a pain but I'm know i would enjoy watching and I'm sure you would get more subs. Thanks guys.
I would love to hear your thoughts on fluid types. What do you fill trans with? I'd also love to hear your take on trans maintenance and how to best drive and maintain to make it last!
Wonder if his linkage is off from shifter to trans , Vibration moving cable back and forth??? I know everyone is an expert 😂 Always great videos Richard!
Call up mikes transmission, out in palmDale California, his rules the powerglide west, 10.000 hp top fuel tested, he has the tricks,, thanks BigAl California.
Richard I saw on a video and thought it was a great idea to do on all valves. Put it in a drill and spin it. If it's not perfectly strait like a valve in a engine that's gonna be an issue. The trans was a 400 and didn't have 3rd gear. It was the long valve in the pump where the pressure regulator valve is. In the drill it wasn't straight. Looked straight to the eye but got stuck .
that dip stick looks long, could it be he doesn't have enough fluid in pan ? (short tube, dip stick to long pushing stick into pan to lock stick in tube, thus reading full when it might be half full)
Thanks Richard and the gang. Has to be in the valve body if it’s a shifting problem, right? Would it do that if a spring was too strong for 1-2 shift and at low rpm the pump wouldn’t be making enough pressure to overcome the spring 100%. Making the valve bounce?
Hmmm, I watched a "How to " video on disassembling a Powerglide, they pulled just a few bolts and bam, the whole thing was laid out on the bench and no fluid. Thanks for posting this, good to see a real teardown video.
On these new vehicles, how hard would it be to put a drain plug in the torque converter? That’s what I liked about my old Mopar from way way back when you could drain the torque converter too anyway this is six in a row.Jim from Kennerdell PA
good morning. when I did transmissions the powerglide had manual shaft that always needed to be adjusted by bending the actuating lever. I did not see you check the manual valve end for adjustment. Just a thought 😀
@@richardteresacricheducatio3542 thank you for such a nice reply I just love watching your video's since i got too old to crawl around and remove transmissions so I can rebuild them and I stopped after the 4 speeds. Thank you for continuing on since you closed your shop.
Was wondering if I could run stock valve body but don’t use the throttle valve or kick down however you wanna call it for the powerglide or do I have to block that valve for it to work I only need 1st and reverse for derby car
Richard you have great videos on the fca gm and ford trannies when are you planning on a video on the automatic transmission that’s in the Nissan titan with the 5.0 Cummins that I hear there’s no parts available for short of buying a complete dealer new transmission or do you have a after market supplier for those parts
I got a 85 c10 longbed tht I ls swapped n put a th350 short shaft behind it n I need a 74 n 3/4 driveshaft do I think I could do a 1 pc or have a 2 pc made?
Really good to see Cody back. He went above and beyond for me at Precision and i appreciated it very much! 😎👍 Greetings from sunny and hot Eastern Washington.
You truly are God's gift to transmissions!
Richard, your videos are great, but what impresses me the most is your love and respect for your wife.
Thank you very much
That's Mrs. Teresa **
Forgot something? At least you remembered what you’d forgotten! I stand in the middle of the garage wondering what the heck I’m doing there! 😳
You too? 😅
Me 3
Good to see the master in the shop
Man I forgot you came back to TH-cam. Made me so happy love it man

I'd definitely love watch it. Love to see the dirty bird making pass

That’s one thing I really like about Richard he will go completely through a transmission and inspect every part.
Do you know trans techs that don’t? 🙄
@@billjenkins1416 not personal but then again I only have Richard work on my transmissions.
@@billjenkins1416 aamco
@@MrUbiquitousTech really? Every employee at every Aamco? I find that hard to believe… they have been around for quite a while 🙄🙄

Good to see Cody again!! As always, an informative discussion with exemplary video - thanks to Teresa!!!! Keep 'em coming ya'll!!!
Thank you
thanks for the upload! Always learning something
Thank you for the video. Very good of you to educate everyone . Kind regards.
Thank you both for sharing this video. I hope the dump valve on the valve body is ok.
First 👍's up PT thank you for sharing 🤗
Cody managed to come back into the fold I see
I've always been around and always a call away when he needs help I haven't gone no where.

Thank you for pointing that out. I will look at that with the pan off.
I have a powerglide to rebuild. I found half a spacer bearing washer? In the pan. It still works though.

Yes, sir I always check that when I assemble it back

I have a 2012 ram 2500 cummins. Is there any way to get rid of the flair in the transmission. Sometimes, it seems to last too long.
How about those dirty bird wheelie's looked cool!

I’m always confused what do the bands actually do?
Do you guys know about ftealshow converters.?

Unfortunately, I pull the 350 back out and make it a 9 inch and you possibly could get away with a long drive shaft like that
I’ve done everything but pull apart a tranny never messed with them just installed them

What happened to your original channel?
Wondering what the oil pan looks like when it's been dragged around so much
...issues...plural is not possessive.
You should have a camera person when you race
and post it.it would be a shame for you to do all that and the shifter be out of adj.
have trouble believing that you can't buy a bs vehicle for 500$ and get a corporate sponsor for a build video. Tear down videos are past getting old
