Geeze I hate that it needs so much but I'm glad that we brought it to yall instead of just running it !! Have Richard give me a call whenever he needs to !!
You would not know what to do with your life if you did not have a transmission to rip and tear into. Good to see Cody show up also. LOL. Always great to watch.
I am so suprised at what I find when I build powerglides. I have seen some crazy clutch stackups and stripped out bolt holes. The parts prices have really increased also. Thank You for another Great Educational Video!!
How do you feel about, not using the wave plate on a street use ,non trans-break PG. (to get more clutches inside). High and low clutches, I know it will shift a little harder but don't know, if it would make it to hard shifting to be reasonable..?
If it has a full manual aftermarket valve body pressure is going to be extremely high if you had a 3000 3500 stall converter engagements won’t be as bad but the high shift is still going to be there the only way to know would be to put a wave in the drum and try it and see how it reacted but use flat, clutches and steals as many as you can get
hey Richard, been watching your videos for some time and really appreciate your content. very educational. what would cause bubbles in fluid in a glide if 1) fluid level is not full, 2) dipstick tube is not leaking?
Thanks for sharing. I have a bte powerglide with a PTE torque converter 9.5 3800 stall in a ls twin turbo foxbody mustang 273 gears a trucool 40k transmission cooler and and I'm have transmission over heating problems it gets up to 260 I want it for the street every now and then track so is a powerglide good for street use or should I look into th350 or 400
@@zapman2100 an assembly video would take 10 times longer than a tear down video and I’d rather him give his full attention to building than trying to video everything. Time is money, he’s just one person
@@pharmztko LOLZ You say it like im demanding a video on every transmission he ever gets in how stupid are you its amazing how many simps he seems to have about how it would be impossible to do a couple of assembly videos, he could also do them and sell them to people looking to rebuild transmissions.
Thank you very much well said I believe if you wanted me to build your transmission you would want my full concentration on your build not worrying about being videotaped
Parasitic Los pretty sure the secondary pump was mainly for the tail shaft and everything for heavy loads not really necessary on a car that only runs 8 seconds
Peek Brothers actually started with Bonneville Salt Flat cars, and then built some Top Fuel Altered cars and some of these dragsters. They did have a couple of big name Top Fuel dragsters also.
Richard we miss you!! I did not know about this channel. Your information and experience is priceless. Hope all works out for the best
Thank you for the support we are excited to be back

Amazing video.. really appreciated ❤
A lot of the old cast iron glides had a rear pump.
The last few years of the cast cases not so much.
The cast ones were gone in 1962 if I remember
Thanks for the video.
Thank you for sharing 🙏♥️👊🏼🇺🇸

also no leaks on cooler lines. wondering if pump would cause this

Is this video about the 2 speed power glide or this customer drag racer guy geesh
How do you remove the rear piston?
Looks like a TCI valve body.
would love to see and assembly video!
Will need to go to another channel. He never shows one
@@rv276 then hes not really about education.

Why do some people remove the rear pump? I would’ve thought 2 would be better than one.

Well since this month is Women's History Month what does Teresa have planned for the new channel ???

@@davidstephens2848 I just found their website and got a crash course in their story. Now I know why that name was so familiar.
Thanks for the information
I had a 84 ram truck for mud and the transmission blowup and came throw the floor
your lapel mic definitely isn't working. Show is just as addictive as it ever was tho. =P
