What an incredible goof on the rest of the cooking world! I tried this recipe last night for the first time and my pralines were BETTER than anything I have ever eaten. OMG. Easy, FAST, foolproof. I cut down on the sugar but it hurt nothing and I used walnuts because I had no pecans. But OH how wonderful they are. This Chef has truly pulled the rug out from under all the stuffed shirt cooks who have long complicated recipes with thermometers and warnings and other crap and their pralines are no better. Toya you are a wonderful person to share this recipe and this recipe is just great!

OMG!!! I have no words for these!! They're the best pralines I've ever had! I moved from the Gulf Coast to the Pacific Northwest a few years ago, and people up here have no idea what a praline is! Back there I could find one from the local candy store just about everywhere. I stopped trying to make them because I could never get them to set right. The first time I saw this, I ran out and got a ton of pecans, the only thing I didn't already have! I'm making a new family tradition of praline making, to go with making my Grandma's Gumbo on Christmas Eve! (I've made so many today, your voice will forever be my guide when I make them!) Thank you so much for this! A taste of my old home, in my new! I also made a one batch swapping the evaporated milk with some left over evaporated coconut milk from a batch of fudge, and I added a little coconut to the mixture as well. They were amazing! I owe them to you, so I thought I had to share them with you.

I thank you for this recipe and tips. I love, love, love this one. I’ve looked at numerous channels and yours is the easiest and best tasting thus far. I did make a quite different praline. I had a huge problem when I added white choclate, it thickened up quickly oh my it was such a mess. Instead of pecans, because I had people who didn’t or couldn’t eat nuts, I used cranberries and oats. And instead if vanilla flavoring, I used hazelnut. I will try to post a pic of those. They were delicious.

I just found you on u tube today. I've made pralines several times, using a candy thermometer and you're right, Your method without the thermometer was a lot more simple and it also turned out creamier than mine did before. They were more sugary, rather than gooey. I loved this recipe. Thank you so much for sharing. I'll be watching you now that I found you! lol I'll be watching your channel to see your Christmas candies and whatever else you make. Thanks again. Linda from Texas.

Thank you Thank you Thank you!!! Pralines are one of my favorite Christmas treats. I literally tried your recipe on yesterday and they came out Good As A Mug (A DC Thang) The question I have is, where can I get the caramel extract from? I when to three different stores and wasn't able to locate it. How much Baker's Chocolate would you suggest, and should it be chopped into pieces for easy melting or left whole? Again Thank you for sharing your Delicious Brilliance!
