Thank you. This is a really good instructional video. I need to remove the trim piece on the driver side of my 03 as I have a water leak I need to find. This will help me a bunch. Scott from Florida.
Thanks bud I was going paint one tommorow and wasn't sure if I should mask them or remove them so I thought I check it out if it was easier to remove or just mask the edges but I think I can remove them thanks for the help
A part of me feels sad so many never take the time every couple years to strip trim like that - then clean/protect underneath. .. especially in the salt belt..
Im needing help to try and find where my Element is leaking I’ve traced the water as coming from the hatch gate , are there possible air vent clogs? Or is it worn weather stripping ?
There are black push pins around the inside of the tire well you need to take off. And a few screws I believe. The you just pull from one corner until the plastic tabs pop out. Continue to do this down the piece.
Dude great video. Get a trim tool removal kit from Amazon. Less than $10. That E must have come from the bottom of a lake from all the debris under those panels. Didn't find Jimmy Hoffa in it did you??
As an owner of a 2003 Element, I’m always interested to see these real world videos. Keep ‘em coming. Thanks for posting.

You’re welcome!
Great job, especially under the winter conditions outdoors.
A kid (young man) who works on his car brings joy to my old heart :)
Thanks good job man you saved me from trashing my trim :-D trying to keep my Element running for another ten good years
Awesome! This was my first time doing this. But I’m going to be taking off every plastic piece off another soon. So it’ll be right this time lol.
Really well done.
Thanks Logan‼️ Excellent instructions that worked. 😃
Dude... many thanks!
