Had been ignoring the stretching exercises for awhile, while doing others. Hadn't realized what I was missing. Joint aches have been an issue and doing exercise today helped open me up. I never exercised no fire I saw your workouts, I started with the 10 minute arm exercises, and then followed up with the 30 minute walking workout. I did these for about 4 weeks, and then I saw your 14 day challenge. I am 61 years old and I just finished it in 14 days; not to say I didn't sweat like a horse! My Grandma used to tell me, "women don't sweat, they glow" I said, " Well then I'm glowing like a horse". Thank you for making all these videos that women my age can do, all the others are kind of intimidating. Also thank you for your positive words! Margaret

Thank you Schellea, You saved my knee pains! I experienced knee pains and went to a Specialist for consultation. He told me he would get me a physiotherapist to help me do some correct exercises to strengthen the quad muscles.. After consultation, I came home to check on TH-cam for the right exercises to do for knee pain, and found your video! It was such a blessing because I like the way you conduct the exercises with the timer and really suits me perfectly! I did the above exercises and in three days, my knee pain was gone! I am still doing your other exercises too! Appreciate your easy to follow and soothing voice to attract me to follow your ways!! THANK YOU!!! By the way, the physiotherapist recommended did not call me until last week! To me, I don't need her anymore, My pains are gone!:-D

Hi. I’m Minakshi from Dubai, 55 yrs old. I have been following your videos from 2019 and find all your excercises very helpful but special mention to this one. Whenever I have slight knee pain I do this for 5 days and I’m absolutely fine . Even today I did this after a long as I was experiencing sever pain in the knee for past couple of days and sure enough by afternoon only I’m feeling so much relieved . Thank you so much ❤

I find this routine so easy to follow along with. I don’t do it every day, but on and off for about 2 months and I’ve noticed a difference in my knee pain. Especially getting up and down from a chair and going up and down stairs. Thanks so much.
Getting way down on the floor can be difficult, so I usually use my bed- makes things much easier. Thank you, Shellea for your upbeat, laid-back exercises. They work for me. I'm 70 & they've helped me regain flexibility & balance.

Shellea my sister discovered your videos and shared it with me, she just turned 64 and I’ll be 62 in 11 days, we are both very active and in good health, however we both noticed that we started to have this nagging discomfort in our knees plus the vertigo issues that we both have, your balance routine really is awesome and all of your work outs are very gentle to our body parts. All your workouts are so well designed, with nice music and hathayoga. Your voice is also so amazing soft and non intrusive. These 5 minute work outs are really well capsuled.
Great idea. Knee mobility and knee pain are mobility reducers. Many physical therapists and DC claim any pain in any join may also be caused by tightness (lack of mobility) in the joint above it or the joint below it. For example, with knee pain it could be caused by an old ankle or hip injury and the resulting tightness. May help to work on those joints too. To accomplish my most recent projects, I've been sitting a lot. Tested doing bridges before walking (and after) and bridges before walking definitely activates the glutes more for those of us who sit frequently.
Thank you, Schellea. I am 65 and I do Yoga every day, I also do a second class of either kick boxing, Step, weights or a Pilates/calisthenics class before. My knees have never bothered me. But lately, every once in a while going up the stairs I feel something in my knees I never felt before. I will give your exercises a try, even though I do at least one of those moves at least once a week, except that first one. Thanks again.

These exercises are so important for any age, but true, especially as we get older. My husband and I purposely downsized to a home with stairs. He is 93 and I am 80 and we both walk and do the stairs, plus I do floor exercises similar to these. Neither of us have knee problems. I think our lifestyle has helped. Great video. Thank you. ❤️. By the way, after shattering my knee last year that was put back together with plate and screws... these are some of the physical therapy exercises I've been doing to regain muscle strength and mobility. They work!

I had Bursitis and often I had to favor my knee that was weak but after doing these for a year or two, at least once a week or more, I have perfect knees and can even get in and out of a kayak easily and I am so grateful. Love your daily stretches too, these I try to do daily and wow they have been so very good. Thank you and hugs from the US!
Thx so much for being there🙂ive been following you for few months and just love it all. Three years ago I started having knee trouble, small tears of the meniscus. Its been pretty good for the last year or so but it has returned just last week even though I feel I've NOT been over doing it. Still doing your knee exercises and your other exercises that don't work the knee too much. I want so much to do your 14 day challenge, sounds like fun!👍🙂but will continue to be careful even though its frustrating after FINALLY finding you and enjoying everthing you do. Going to the gym is just not my thing. Your so good for so many of us. Please keep it up💞
Thanks for this helpful video. An extra suggestion about calf raises from a trainer I once worked with : on the first set, keep your feet pointing straight ahead and do your raises as in your video, for the second set, angle your feet slightly outwards and do the raises again, and for final set do your raises with feet angled slightly inwards. Doing it like that works all different areas of the calf and is extremely effective for strengthening the entire calf. Cheers
@Wendy Hartland yes, which is why doing these kind of subtle variations is critical to do with an instructor who can see how our bodies do them...for this exercise to turn out/in our feet it's important that the knees stay over the toes or we can injure our muscles surrounding the knees.
Day 14 complete. I simply enjoyed this 14 day challenge. Every morning I would have burst of energy after exercing. I would actually wait for morning to break in so I could do my day to day challenge. Thank you so much you are fab.

Knee pain is usually connected to hip alignment. There are many rehab type exercises to do that exercises the quads in different directions. The quads are what gives strength to the knees.
I’m 77 and I have really bad knees,through injuries. I’m going to do all these exercises to strengthen my knees, it’s never to late to start exercising 😉 Thank you, for inspiring me to get moving.

thank you for these exercises...i am 52 years old & had physio last year due to very weak knees but they didn't help much. Your exercises include 2 that were new to me & trying these out for the first time today they have been fantastic...i felt no pain whatsoever during these exercises & oh my days how nice it was to stand up without any pain ! thank you so much
Fabulous 50 I did the knee exercises because it helps me with my belly too ...At times I di feel pain in my knees especially at winter times. ..When I go out in the cold 🥶 if I am not wearing enough clothes the first place I feel cold is my sick knee ....But these days I found the cure. So when winter comes I make sure that I am warm out in the ❄ ❄ snow. 👌 WOW

I love this video it's so beneficial for us all. I'm going to save it! I have alot of neurological nerve damage caused from a back operation ( L45 microdysectomy) and the consequence from this has also Left me in alot of pain. Thankyou so much for showing us this video xx

Please see your doctor anyway for your knees. There may be other factors that exercising might be detrimental for.
These exercises are so important for any age, but true, especially as we get older. My husband and I purposely downsized to a home with stairs. He is 93 and I am 80 and we both walk and do the stairs, plus I do floor exercises similar to these. Neither of us have knee problems. I think our lifestyle has helped. Great video. Thank you. ❤️. Beautiful combination and balance of the feminine and masculine concepts in the interior design of this room... we are kindred spirits! By the way, after shattering my knee last year that was put back together with plate and screws... these are some of the physical therapy exercises I've been doing to regain muscle strength and mobility. They work!

I had Bursitis and often I had to favor my knee that was weak but after doing these for a year or two, at least once a week or more, I have perfect knees and can even get in and out of a kayak easily and I am so grateful. Love your daily stretches too, these I try to do daily and wow they have been so very good. Thank you and hugs from the US!
Thx so much for being there🙂ive been following you for few months and just love it all. Three years ago I started having knee trouble, small tears of the meniscus. Its been pretty good for the last year or so but it has returned just last week even though I feel I've NOT been over doing it. Still doing your knee exercises and your other exercises that don't work the knee too much. I want so much to do your 14 day challenge, sounds like fun!👍🙂but will continue to be careful even though its frustrating after FINALLY finding you and enjoying everthing you do. Going to the gym is just not my thing. Your so good for so many of us. Please keep it up💞
Thanks for this helpful video. An extra suggestion about calf raises from a trainer I once worked with : on the first set, keep your feet pointing straight ahead and do your raises as in your video, for the second set, angle your feet slightly outwards and do the raises again, and for final set do your raises with feet angled slightly inwards. Doing it like that works all different areas of the calf and is extremely effective for strengthening the entire calf. Cheers

@Wendy Hartland yes, which is why doing these kind of subtle variations is critical to do with an instructor who can see how our bodies do them...for this exercise to turn out/in our feet it's important that the knees stay over the toes or we can injure our muscles surrounding the knees.

Day 14 complete. I simply enjoyed this 14 day challenge. Every morning I would have burst of energy after exercing. I would actually wait for morning to break in so I could do my day to day challenge. Thank you so much you are fab.

Knee pain is usually connected to hip alignment. There are many rehab type exercises to do that exercises the quads in different directions. The quads are what gives strength to the knees.
I’m 77 and I have really bad knees,through injuries. I’m going to do all these exercises to strengthen my knees, it’s never to late to start exercising 😉 Thank you, for inspiring me to get moving.

thank you for these exercises...i am 52 years old & had physio last year due to very weak knees but they didn't help much. Your exercises include 2 that were new to me & trying these out for the first time today they have been fantastic...i felt no pain whatsoever during these exercises & oh my days how nice it was to stand up without any pain ! thank you so much

Fabulous 50 I did the knee exercises because it helps me with my belly too ...At times I di feel pain in my knees especially at winter times. ..When I go out in the cold 🥶 if I am not wearing enough clothes the first place I feel cold is my sick knee ....But these days I found the cure. So when winter comes I make sure that I am warm out in the ❄ ❄ snow. 👌 WOW

I have been doing this routine at least twice a week for a few months and my knees feel so much stronger and more flexible. Much better than the exercises my physiotherapist suggested. Thank you!

I love this video it's so beneficial for us all. I'm going to save it! I have alot of neurological nerve damage caused from a back operation ( L45 microdysectomy) and the consequence from this has also Left me in alot of pain. Thankyou so much for showing us this video xx
