  • 5 minute knee strengthening exercises routine to fix knee pain in mature women | Exercise over 50! If you are experiencing knee pain as you're getting older, it can affect your whole quality of life... We are able to make our knees stronger by working the muscles in our hips, our thighs and our calves... all the muscles that connect to the knee... and if these muscles strong, they take the pressure off the knee joints so that the pain is reduced and your mobility is increased.
    If you have knee pain you're not alone... In fact two thirds of women over the age of 50 are experiencing some form of knee pain... Do this knee strengthening routine and knee stretches, five days a week to really help your knee pain, and when your knees are feeling better you can reduce the frequency to 2 times a week.

    I'm a 61 year old man and I do your 5min and 10min knee strenghten exercises daily. It works 100%. I do both in the morning and before going to bed. Sleep like a baby with less knee pain. Appreciate your knowledge and help.❤

    Had been ignoring the stretching exercises for awhile, while doing others. Hadn't realized what I was missing. Joint aches have been an issue and doing exercise today helped open me up. Not only that, your words of mindful encouragement and support are always welcome, especially in these troubled times. I am always grateful for you!

    I never exercised no fire I saw your workouts, I started with the 10 minute arm exercises, and then followed up with the 30 minute walking workout. I did these for about 4 weeks, and then I saw your 14 day challenge. I am 61 years old and I just finished it in 14 days; not to say I didn't sweat like a horse! My Grandma used to tell me, "women don't sweat, they glow" I said, " Well then I'm glowing like a horse". Thank you for making all these videos that women my age can do, all the others are kind of intimidating. Also thank you for your positive words! Margaret

    I am 56 and had knee pain that prevented me from kneeling onto the prayer mat (I am Muslim). After starting on this exercise about 6 weeks ago and following your advise to do this 5x a week, my knee feels a lot stronger. The pain is practically gone! Thank you, Schellea, for this video. I’m now following some of your other workouts to get back into good physical shape 💪🏼 - from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

      The same with me, even if I'm catholic. I couldn't kneel in church. After months of these exercises I can do it without pain. It's beautiful that even if we are of different religions we are united by respect for our bodies and our values.❤️❤️❤️

    Thank you so much for the above! I am now doing these 5 minute exercises and have noticed a huge difference in the past few months--no pain unless I skip your exercises and it is back again. I'm 69 and trying to avoid any knee surgery if it can be avoided. So far, so good. On to the ab workout. Thank you for offering many alternatives to our workouts. :)

    I LOVED this short workout to finish today's set. I did a lot of long distance running in my youth so have horrible knee pain. This is something I need to do every day. With much (sweat &) gratitude x

    Hi. I’m Minakshi from Dubai, 55 yrs old. I have been following your videos from 2019 and find all your excercises very helpful but special mention to this one. Whenever I have slight knee pain I do this for 5 days and I’m absolutely fine . Even today I did this after a long as I was experiencing sever pain in the knee for past couple of days and sure enough by afternoon only I’m feeling so much relieved . Thank you so much ❤

    Thx so much for being there🙂ive been following you for few months and just love it all. Three years ago I started having knee trouble, small tears of the meniscus. Its been pretty good for the last year or so but it has returned just last week even though I feel I've NOT been over doing it. Still doing your knee exercises and your other exercises that don't work the knee too much. I want so much to do your 14 day challenge, sounds like fun!👍🙂but will continue to be careful even though its frustrating after FINALLY finding you and enjoying everthing you do. Going to the gym is just not my thing. Your so good for so many of us. Please keep it up💞

    I find this routine so easy to follow along with. I don’t do it every day, but on and off for about 2 months and I’ve noticed a difference in my knee pain. Especially getting up and down from a chair and going up and down stairs. Thanks so much.

    Great routine. Has really helped me with knee problems. Bit frustrating that adverts kick in half way through the routine so you have to stop and click ‘skip’.

    Thanks so much Schellea! This really helped me such a lot. Lots of pain post several work outs, hence knee pain which has made my life truly painful.
    This workout really helped me. All your workouts are so well designed, with nice music and hathayoga. Your voice is also so amazing soft and non intrusive. These 5 minute work outs are really well capsuled.

    These exercises are so important for any age, but true, especially as we get older. My husband and I purposely downsized to a home with stairs. He is 93 and I am 80 and we both walk and do the stairs, plus I do floor exercises similar to these. Neither of us have knee problems. I think our lifestyle has helped. Great video. Thank you. ❤️.     I shall try to do these several times a week. Knee pain is an issue and why I stopped doing all the JW stuff because there was too much jumping! Thanks for these Schellea. They're bang on and sympathetic. How did you know I was feeling guilty today! :D

    Thank you so much Shelley your videos are so helpful and you are so gracious it really shows in your whole being that you care about others! My knees have been hurting
    Recently and it makes me feel so old
    As I was always so agile and athletic
    I will do these knee excercises hopefully it will help with the volume I have lost around the knee area also
    From an aesthetic point of view. 🙏🏻❤️

    Thank you so much for all the exercises but especially for the knee strengthening and the hips ones too! I have had both knees replaced and one hip! I put on a lot of weight during covid and during the surgeries so I am just getting back into a workout routine. I appreciate all your videos and am finishing day 7 of the 14 day challenge. Love it :)
