If you’re looking into the Remark R1, install a resonator, the drone is there and it’s deep and it’ll make your head hurt, order the silencer too if you got kids, that’s what I did
In case anyone wants to just hear the exhaust sound instead of mumbo jumbo AWE Exhaust- 2:32 MAP Catback- 6:22 Remark R1-Spec- 9:52 Invidia Gemini R400- 11:50 MBRP Single Exit- 13:30
Which exhaust will wake up my entire neighborhood when I leave at 4:30 am but i dont want to hear it in the car. Its for everybody elses benefit not mine
Remark has some serious competition now that afd has a titanium tip ss single exit for 550$. I got mine for 465$ shipped with their sale and promo code and let me say it’s top tier quality no doubt and sounds amazing and looks even better.
Been running AWE since I got my VB. No drone AT ALL on the highway (girlfriend verified) but pin it and holy sh*t. It's perfect. The no drone stuff tey do is real. Also had their system on my VA. No other options IMO lol! Keep up the godo work on the videos and the mustache.
@@TheFluffy118 I did not need to cut anything. IIRC, I bought a Grimspeed adapter to attach my stock downpipe to the exhaust. But ultimately took it off only 3 miles later because my ears were ringing. I ended up with the AWE touring instead and my head and ears thanked me. To each their own of course, my ears could be different from yours.
Hello 👋 multiple people here at MAP have driven the WRX with our Street exhaust and have been pleasantly surprised with the lack of drone! It's very minimal to non existent. The most comparable exhaust featuring little to no drone would be the AWE touring exhaust.
My wife says my vb wakes her up stock as it is every morning, the wrx has a notorious 1-1 1/2 minute long cold start, best I can do is probably a nameless with 4” mufflers and hope she doesn’t notice 😂
It's hard to pinpoint which "sounds better" that's up to you as an individual and which tone you're striving for. As for exhaust drone, they're pretty evenly matched with just a smidge of drone over the MAP Street or the AWE touring editions just due to their amplified volume.
@@maperformance ok and sorry for so much question but which one wont upset much the neighbors on that 1 am cold starts? I want a loud one but not too loud to wake anyone up lol
Is the wrx used for all the sound clips stock without a tune, and do I need to do a tune if I do catback ? I was told I might need to tune if wanting to go catback by someone and that’s not an option have 120k warranty on brand new TR so I want to ride that wave as long as I can.
All great choices, love my ETS axleback with anodized tips, feel it would've been a good choice here, but understand why not, a bit expensive. To each their own.
Yeah I have cat back ets resonated mid pipe and muffled exhaust. Loud when you get on with no drone under 75ish. I can't believe ets wasn't feature here
Yes! We partnered up with AWE to display their exhaust systems along with ours. The other 3 are a stock WRX with the corresponding catbacks. That way, only the exhaust tone is the variable.
None of these are particularly amazing honestly. Personally waiting for tomei to release an exhaust for the vb. Also ets sounds a lot better than any on this list.
I wanted the AWE touring until I saw this video. I absolutely hate backfiring. I don't understand why people like it. Need to start my search over again 😢

Compared to stock, is it loud?
Not loud, but it’s very droney
In case anyone wants to just hear the exhaust sound instead of mumbo jumbo
AWE Exhaust- 2:32
MAP Catback- 6:22
Remark R1-Spec- 9:52
Invidia Gemini R400- 11:50
MBRP Single Exit- 13:30
You should have addressed drone for each exhaust.
For those that have these or have tried multiple, what's a good choice that increases sound, but keeps the interior drone down? Compared to stock.
Which exhaust will wake up my entire neighborhood when I leave at 4:30 am but i dont want to hear it in the car. Its for everybody elses benefit not mine

Does the slant sit pretty like the remark? I feel like the remark has the perfect slant and doesn’t droop down like some single exit exhausts (tomei)
I appreciate this so much! Just ordered a '24 WRX GT and I intend to spend the first night bonding with it over a cat back install

AWE's exhausts are by far one of the best on the market! With the amount of time and technology that goes into them it's a no brainer half the time.
Did you go with the touring or performance version?
Did you go with touring or track version?
@@jayc5768 oh man, I totally missed this! First I went with track, but then I got their conversion kit and went to touring.
How loud is the exhaust?
I just installed the Nameless 3.5 inch catback w/muffler delete. Great exhaust with great rumble. Need a jpipe for more noise.
Noooo rumble on these wrx.... Boxer engine yes, rumble noooo
I installed the Invidia r400 on my 2021 WRX with the titanium tips i love it
Same, just yesterday, but on a 2023!
@@jusblue1495 did you need to cut/weld to fit it on your 23?

It would be nice to hear how these compare to the Subaru STI exhaust
I loved the invidia on my 21 WRX. If I get another WRX it's gonna be that one for sure.
SPT here, rocking ETS catback but looking for a Q300 review to decide whether I should switch or not!
Noted! Thank you for your support 🙌
@@maperformance hope to see you guys do a review on touring type exhaust for those that want loud but not too extreme!!!
@@The_SL0WRX That would be our MAPerformance Street exhaust or the AWE touring exhaust. Both are mild volumes, without sacrificing good sound/tone!
Not very loud but have tremble feeling.. Very nice exhaust.. Expecially AWE track..
Yeah that deep little rumble was sick.
With the MA street exhaust, is there any drone? Or out of all of these which would have the least amount of drone?
Hello 👋 multiple people here at MAP have driven the WRX with our Street exhaust and have been pleasantly surprised with the lack of drone! It's very minimal to non existent. The most comparable exhaust featuring little to no drone would be the AWE touring exhaust.
No Borla?

The VB cold start is definitely noticeable!
Shes being a Karen. Please, unless you have a stock mustang exhaust, any stock subaru is nothing
@@srsg-wy8tr you don’t know do you own one
I absolutely need to know the wheels and tires on the WRX that demonstrated the Invidia 😮
Kansei Roku 245/40/18 on tires I believe.
Craziest exhaust I’ve heard so for on an FA was the race mbrp quad stainless
Between the MA Race performance and awe track version which would you say sounds best and has less drone? Im still debating between the 2

I haven’t heard MAP in person, but the good thing about awe is you can change them from track to touring without buying a whole other exhaust
I've got the blue remark boso axleback on my VB and I really like it.
What’s BOSO?
AWE TRACK VERSION
GRIMMSPEED J-DOWNPIPE
GRIMMSPEED EQL HEADERS
PERFECTION 🥰 💞 🥰
I have the remark r1 with an ets downpipe. Some say drone, I say it’s like Barry White humming down the road. 😅

I just got my the cat back MBRP quad carbon fiber tips. They are a great product
Glad you like them!
this engine giving me evos sound
I'm good with spt catback for my 2006 Subaru sti
Was the done with a Dow pipe or oem
Stock downpipes! All exhaust
I’m doing a nameless. Had deletes on my 18 STI and I know it sounds great with no drone. The new TR gets them soon.
Is there a full exhaust system that increases HP for 2022 wrx?
The Midpipe is the one that is restrictive, you get good gains is you upgrade it once you tune the car

Nothing on the Magnaflow Comp. Edition Catback??? COME ON!???
Why are your exhaust tips looks Rusty
Not rusty! We converted this car to have lifted suspension and we've been having some fun in the dirt!
Is that a stock wrx with just different cat backs?
Yes! We partnered up with AWE to display their exhaust systems along with ours. The other 3 are a stock WRX with the corresponding catbacks. That way, only the exhaust tone is the variable.
Which is going to be quite but no drone?
R400 or AWE Touring
What does VB Mean?
VengaBus
For anyone reading this a year later, VA is the early chassis, VB is the 2022+ chassis.
Was hopping for information on performance difference and not just sound. Not spending money on something that is just going to make it loud.
you left out COBB SS 3 inch cat back!!
You missed the best of all Borla!
The Type-S catback is a great contender for sure!
The magnaflow catback is the way to go 😎
That’s right 💯

Borla FTW
Wish there was a comparison from the Borla S-Type to the Invidia R400 … I can’t decide between these 2. :(
License plate cover is bought to take flight
I think the ETS titanium single exit deserves the 5th spot over MBRP. MBRP is a boomer tier brand tbh.

Love my remark axleback! Video on my channel for sound comparison to the stock exhaust
Awesome! Great to see you're enjoying it
Borla....................................
The Borla S-Type Catback is another great contender!
how a new subaru sounds like my 10th gen civic lol
They all sound the same..
Looks like a Toyota Camry from the rear.
It actually looks like a vb wrx from behind
For shame. That is obviously a civic.
A car looks like a car? Oh shit thanks for the insight
Looks like shit from every angle...
