Did this same thing on my 21 wrx. It’s not going to blow you away, it does make the power band better and drivability improves. Slight power increase also feels good. Like the video says, like stock but better. Even if you don’t want to do anything to your wrx this Cobb ots tune is well worth it.
Would totally agree. Its a nice little bump in performance from the OTS map. The real win comes from other add on's like live monitoring, code reading, launch control, flat foot shifting! Its also the gateway to allow future upgrades and protunes for the vehicle.
Thank you so much for this video! I just got the access port for my 2024 WRX TR and am clueless and haven't installed it yet. Any and all info is much appreciated!
I want to get a Grimspeed TMIC, charge pipe and inlet soon. But for now doing exactly this. Access port and Cobb 93 tune. With my IAG AOS and cat back exhaust.
Loving this! I’m waiting on a couple more years of warranty before I look at the access port for my 21 wrx and have really loved seeing each step of this journey!
I have a 2018 wrx stock everything except the cat back with 80k miles . Installing the AP should be okay or do I have to worry about other things before installing it
Hi I just put the Cobb stage 1 + bigSF on my wrx 2016 I did it all great but since I started it he has a rough idle my a/c clutch is hitting hard and all the lights in the dash are on can you help me ( I installed it today 03/06/2024) thank you

Question. Can I use that 93 octane tune you downloaded on my 2018 WRX that has a cat back exhaust? Or is there a tune in the access port that accounts for a cat back exhaust?
Ours is the Nameless Front Strut Bar, it’s a better choice for the money! www.importimageracing.com/products/nameless-front-strut-tower-brace-subaru-wrx-2015-2021-sti-2015-2021-wrinkle-red-fstb-c-red-sub-15wrx
If I buy one. And have all the parts eg: intake/turbo back exhaust, (including adding unequal headers) and a TM or FM cooler, will one of the pre installed tunes suit my mods?
Unfortunately not. The Cobb AP only comes with preloaded maps that fit a stock car OR a car equipped with parts from their Cobb Power Packs. A custom tune is required with any and all additional performance modifications.
Question. I already installed my intake last summer, this summer I want to buy a Cobb accessport for a Stage 1 tune. Am I still able to find the right map even with an after market intake installed already?
@@ImportImageRacing will I be able to still add the tune without any problems or should I not recommend it at this rate since I already have another intake installed?
@@PedroAlmeida-w3o you have a few options.. You could revert back to the stock intake and add the Cobb stage1 map. The performance results you’ll see with the AccessPort will far outweigh those of the intake. OR, you can combine the AccessPort and the intake with a custom Clark Turner Tune for MAXIMUM results! www.importimageracing.com/products/ctt-custom-protune-single-fuel-subaru-wrx-2002-2022-sti-2004-2021-ctt-001
Cobb recommends that the car stay stock if using a OTS stage1 map. I have a turbo inlet on my 21 WRX, as well as a Noble Ti Exhaust system..... and I get away with it! My suggestion is to email Support@importimageracing.com for a better conversation and further understanding of how the maps work and what is required.
“more reliable” is going to be a big ask… Give any turbo charged vehicle, more boost, more fuel and more timing rarely makes it MORE reliable! 😂 But a good OTS map can go a long way and still be suitable for a long time.

This was a must for me! Was not a fan of how the car felt from the factory. Now, a nice smooth powerband, and a throttle my foot can really learn.
Absolutely correct! You can’t go wrong with the AccessPort. Much smoother power delivery, coupled with everyday drive ability.
congrats on the new PB!

Is there much benefit to running a Cusco rear end or IAG motor mounts, for street driving? looking for better grip and less engine movement...
