You know in SWTOR that's not a true Sentinel since it's just a prestige class of Guardian. Real Sentinels are their own class of Jedi just like Guardian and Consular. They should have had all three Jedi classes with Sentinel prestige into Watchman or Shadow. Watchman using Double-Bladed Lightsabers and Shadows using Dual Lightsabers.

This is what we need a standalone movie of. A jedi who left the order and is now a vigilante helping people in some backwater world. Not even using his/her light saber, may not even have it any more, just using their wits, strength and fast reactions to recue kidnapped people or to topple gangs. There is great potential here. Not everything has to be a huge, grand story.
@@BURNi3BURNs Well, you dont want to draw attention to yourself or give the bad guys too much info. Maybe the character uses it sparingly or only as a last resort. @@JasonWW2000 I agree again... rare use of the lightsaber in crowded places or where there will be multiple witnesses. The Lightsaber would be mostly for when fighting a member of the Sith, cut down barriers, or as a last resort. Other force abilities would be highlighted. It would be great... much like the Mandalorian!
He fears us as we are without sway - not the dark - not the light- but the FORCE itself. It was said ONE did not know a sentinel until they ignited their saber.
It makes me happy to hear this because a character I imagine in my head fits this Jedi sentinel. She was brought up in a dense city population as a beggar. She has a very vague memory of her parents, but other than that grew up alone in the slums. Victim to abuse and barely scrapping by. Until a force sensitive bounty hunter accidentally saves her. Grand adventure begins and they become an incredible bounty hunting duo. Eventually an inquisitor finds that they’re force sensitive. They go into hiding and eventually come across Galen marek aka star killer aka the main character of the force awakened. (And of course general Kota is with him and his girlfriend) Kota urges Galen to train them. The bounty hunter isn’t interested and decides to go his own way while she chose to stay with the Jedi and former sith apprentice. Training and drama ensues, eventually she obtains her own light sabers (2 because I like the style and of course she’d take after her master) and they’re yellow. Oh, and her personality would never be the boisterous headstrong type like everyone does. She’d be calmer (learned a lot from Kota) easily flustered with lack of experience, but slowly gets better and better. VERY slowly because of inner demons and stuff. But she’d actually not be very good with a light saber. She’d use it as a last resort and rely more on blasters. But with her jedi training they’d focus on teaching her how to use her strengths. Which was the force. Telepathy and sensory was her specialty. And that would cause a lot of problems for her at first. Remember her inner demons I mentioned? That’s caused by lack of control of her powers. She could hear spirits of both dead and living Jedi, sith, and normal people. And it would be painful for her to be too near to someone experiencing pain. But yeah, gentle soul who isn’t the most fond of ppl and more or less a dark Jedi
I had a lot of fun playing as a Sentinel in KOTOR and now that Disney making Darth Revan canon, I'm hoping we'll see more of the yellow/gold blades emerge among the Jedi ranks. Now, the reason why playing a Sentinel was so fun for me was because it allowed me to use the most out numerous skills (slicing and repair skills especially,) and was a rather well balanced Jedi to play as a Light Sider. That, and maxing out HK-47s character dialog was funny as get out. Having a Jedi who was at ease with blasters and vibroblades as well as a lightsaber was truly the height if enjoyment for me.
Darth Sceledrus in the Rise of Skywalker visual dictionary it states that the Sith Trooper legions are named after ancient sith and one of the legions is called Revan.
@@defaulter264 blue, i'd guess ! i'm speaking as someone who's seen mock examples of partial colour-blindness but doesn't have any kind of it myself. just providing a guess answer until the OP might respond. from what i've seen, some types just blank out certain colour wavelengths, so you can get two separate colours appearing as the same one if the only difference between them is the presence of the blanked-out colour mixed into one of them.
The only difference is all the cyber or tech-related stuff are replaced by Ninjustu-related stuff. (such as cracking information on a scroll = hacking into a computer)
Sentinel: They were very anonymous about their lives, stealthy, had a lightsaber, force sensitive, infantry skill and a lot of knowledge.. Ninja: They were very anonymous about their lives, stealthy, had a sword, chakra, infantry skill and a lot of knowledge.. So sentinels were pretty much a clan Ninja turned shinobi 😱
I mean, even if she fell and joined, she would've been killed by Palpatine ir even forced Vader to kill her, since Vader would be breaking the Rule of Two
This is the type of short arc series I want you see on Disney +. Explain the different orders and types of Jedi and even Sith. Not so much any one person or individual but the group as a whole. Great video as always!
No mention of their other duty, acting as temple guards? Or is that just because thats canon and the sentinels we know are legends? My own head cannon is a mixture of the two. The only canon stuff i dont like really is the new trilogy.
Yep. Leia should have died in the explosion. But the most awful part of the new trilogy is Rey. There is no way she could fight against Kylo and do powerful feats with the force WITHOUT PROPER TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE. But no, she just needs to pull a deus ex machina out of her ass...
So they are Grey Jedi. Palpatine counts on Jedi reacting as Jedi. When he comes across a disciplined Jedi able to cross the lines of the dark and light, where others wouldn't dare tread. I'm guessing Palpatine might have concerns.
It was simple: he feared the sentinels _as a group_ overall because their strengths didn't only lie in the Force. So he had to keep parts of society separated. With networks of spies throughout the galaxy, tracking them down was an inevitability save they fled the galaxy as secretly as a fugitive at large. They made it impossible to coordinate with each other as communication was heavily monitored and congregation of multiple force adepts would draw attention through the Force, if not noticeable to other non-Force users. I don't care for Disney Canon, they decided to do more on this with inquisitors. However in legends expanded universe this, too, was a reality but there seemed to be far less of them and Vader hunted them down by himself. I know in book of sith, Sidious mentioned his suspicions that of the Jedi who have evaded order 66, it was largely sentinels. For a time, though, it seemed as if they were entirely combat oriented during the war with the resurgent Sith empire, being dual wield 2 lightsaber focused. I think battle master, being the mirror to sith blademaster would have been more apt considering they're just as focused on lightsaber combat as guardians but not so specialized as a weapons master. Sentinels were more physical than the consular type Jedi, but they lacked polish and refinement of their guardian counterparts i.e. they might have mastery of saber forms enough to effectively utilize Juyo but they may not have stamina to maintain it, or they are only single bladed, or may find it overly difficult and demanding, or their combos may not be quite as good.
In E.U the Inquisition actually losses multiple Inquisitors throughout the reign of Palpatine to Jedi Sentinel's; even up until after the Battle of Endor. So it makes logical sense for a Sith Lord to fear the unknown that's only known by those who survived the purge, that being the Jedi Sentinel's themselves... Sentinel's master both what the Guardian and Consular Jedi's learn. Making them not only scholars on the Force but also masters of lightsaber combat. A standard guardian or consular knight of the Jedi order couldnt last a snowballs chance in hell against Vader or Sidious in a duel, let alone a Imperial Inquisitor.
in legends, jedi sentinels had two duties. They were responsible with jedi temples defence. But thats not that big of a deal. What makes them more dangerous than any other jedi is that their mission was to find and elliminate dark side no matter where it may manifest within the galaxy. To defeat monsters you must study the monster and learn its weaknesses. if there was a jedi sentinel strong as yoda or windu it could be the downfall of the empire. instead of hiding in dagobah a jedi sentinel would build another lightsaber and hunt vader, leaving palpatine without a proper apprentice. And cut trough inquisitors like cake.
The thing is that Jedi Guardians can fare better against Inquisitors that seldom use the Force due to their saber combat specialization, but will quickly lose to Vader due to intimidating Force proficiency to complement his saber proficiency. But a Jedi Sentinel is well rounded and skilled in clandestine activities. While blasters are frowned upon, being flexible with weapons will significantly improve odds of survival and chances of catching standard attackers off guard.
DeegoL9 Agreed just that he was the The General of the war so he couldn’t vanish into the crowd but he still study Sith’s because he knew fear was a path to the dark side. In fact once Mace found that out he couldn’t be afraid anymore because he found out what The Sith’s are because he studied them. He was his own Unique Jedi
I love how most clips in this video are of the clone wars. Best animated I might go as far as to say best series ever made. Unforgettable character's, adventure's, battle's, griping and absolutely fantastic story and arc's. Freaking incredible show.
This Jedi-filled post about the Jedi and how the non-Jedi Palpatine was loaded with Jedi-like fear for these Jedi was like watching a Jedi wield a Jedi's light saber. I learned as much as a Jedi learning his Jedi lessons during Jedi Elementary School, almost as much as a Jedi learning his Jedi lessons during Jedi Middle School, and far more than a Jedi learning his Jedi lessons during Jedi High School. It was as if a Jedi had reached into my mind, using his Jedi powers, and bestowed actual Jedi knowledge on me. I would have needed to be a Jedi myself to have learned more about the Jedi from this Jedi-filled post. Whew.
The Mandalorian showed us any Star Wars story can succeed if done right. A show about Order 66 and the tales of each Jedi that managed to escape and how they went on with life thereafter, evading/fighting the inquisitors, the friends and fellow Jedi they lost, not to mention the notion of Jedi Vigilante just sounds absolutely awesome.
I have a sort of difficult question: Has there ever been a Sith that worked in secret WITH the Jedi but was against other Sith? Basically someone that used the Dark Side as a means of destroying other dark side users. And do you think it is possible for the Sith & Jedi to work together in an effort to end their their seemingly endless war?
ExGamArs Maybe a VERY long time ago, but remember, there can only be 2 Sith at any given time (A Master, and an apprentice) , and it is not likely that becoming a “Fake” Jedi Sentinel would really benefit their goals.
@@douggiee Yeah, I wasn't referring to a specific era - like the Rule of Two Era that you mentioned, I said "ever" as in from the time Jedi & Sith began to well past Darth Krayt's death. Revan for instance lived in an era that predates the Rule of Two before Bane even started the Rule of Two, and the Rule of Two ended after Sidious & Vader. Also, I didn't say "Fake Jedi Sentinel", I said a Dark Side user or Sith that helped the Jedi by hunting down other Sith. No Fakes involved, people that are willing to damn themselves to save others.
@@Gyrannon First thing that comes to my mind is the pure-blood Sith, Lord Scourge. On two separate occasions he worked with Jedi, but both were towards the same goal: to kill the Emperor Vitiate. First time was with Revan and Meetra Surik, but he suddenly had a Force vision that showed they could not defeat Vitiate so he betrayed them. Then later with an unnamed Jedi knight, the Hero of Tython (HT). Scourge recognized HT as the Jedi from his visions and helped him destroy Vitiate to prevent the entire galaxy from being destroyed. And Scourge was only set on the path to destroy the Emperor by another Sith, Darth Nyriss, who was one of the first to discover the Emperor's plan to destroy the galaxy. Scourge ended up never returning to the Sith afterward, instead helping HT from time to time. Hope that helps.
Phat Panda27 I wonder if more Sith are like Lord Scourge now since in the newest expansion, you can actually defect to the other side, so Jedi can work with Darth Malgus and vice versa. I mean Darth Marr had a force ghost that stood by Bastilla and commented on how the Jedi and Sith (well more like Sith Empire and Galaltic Republic) joined forces in taking down the Vitiate. Another thing to keep in mind is the Sith Inquisitor told Ashara that Lightsaber color don’t determine alignment. Also depending on your options you can choose to not only free the Sith Spirits, but if your light side alignment was high enough you could redeem them into the light side of the Force. The last thing is the final stage of Dark side corruption is Redemption/atonement.

In my head canon, Palpatine’s fear of jedi sentinels originates from when he read about my sentinel in SWTOR
Balázs Loncsák when he realized my deflection percentage was over 130 he began Order 66 part 2
Dreamer Dawn I know, and also, this sentinel group was created after the galactic war or any events of the game
At this point Sidious has 30 “most feared” things or people
He was very afraid
Fear does lead to the dark side
"The sentinels are the edge lords of the jedi order" -George Lucas

This is what we need a standalone movie of. A jedi who left the order and is now a vigilante helping people in some backwater world. Not even using his/her light saber, may not even have it any more, just using their wits, strength and fast reactions to recue kidnapped people or to topple gangs. There is great potential here. Not everything has to be a huge, grand story.
I agree... except... they need to keep their Yellow Lightsaber
@@BURNi3BURNs Well, you dont want to draw attention to yourself or give the bad guys too much info. Maybe the character uses it sparingly or only as a last resort. Now that I think about it, it's a bit like the Mandolorian. A new character doing new things, but in the Star Wars universe. Jedi are the coolest part of that universe.
You just described the fallen order video game
You talking bout taken? I never understood why those dopes would kidnap a Jedi masters daughter.
(And of course general Kota is with him and his girlfriend)
Kota urges Galen to train them.
👏👏👏
I loved reading this! Great story!
Revan is Canon? Since when?
Darth Sceledrus exactly. I’m waiting for an answer now, too lol
Darth Sceledrus in the Rise of Skywalker visual dictionary it states that the Sith Trooper legions are named after ancient sith and one of the legions is called Revan.
Disney should give us a live action series about sentinels that survived the purge on Disney+. I think that be interesting.
Gotta admit, I got goosebumps when Rey revealed her yellow lightsaber.
I am colorblind and literally every “yellow” saber is green

from what i've seen, some types just blank out certain colour wavelengths, so you can get two separate colours appearing as the same one if the only difference between them is the presence of the blanked-out colour mixed into one of them.

This is the type of short arc series I want you see on Disney +. Explain the different orders and types of Jedi and even Sith. Not so much any one person or individual but the group as a whole. Great video as always!
He was scared of yellow because yellow is the colour of sand, which his apprentice hated, so he also grew to fear the colour of yellow.

No mention of their other duty, acting as temple guards? Or is that just because thats canon and the sentinels we know are legends? My own head cannon is a mixture of the two. The only canon stuff i dont like really is the new trilogy.
AtrociousAK47 no Jedi Sentinels do both task in Canon and Legends. Guard the temple and whatever clandestine stuff they like doing.

Sentinels sound very similar to green lanterns. Best Jedi group imo.

That’s a little over 8 a minute wtf
59 shots, ah shit here we go again.
Actually it’s 62
Ah yes, the piss saber. Legend says it also didn't smell so good.
in legends, jedi sentinels had two duties.
Mr Pupp closest thing to a sentinel was Mace Windu

This Jedi-filled post about the Jedi and how the non-Jedi Palpatine was loaded with Jedi-like fear for these Jedi was like watching a Jedi wield a Jedi's light saber. A show about Order 66 and the tales of each Jedi that managed to escape and how they went on with life thereafter, evading/fighting the inquisitors, the friends and fellow Jedi they lost, not to mention the notion of Jedi Vigilante just sounds absolutely awesome.
I have a sort of difficult question:
Has there ever been a Sith that worked in secret WITH the Jedi but was against other Sith?
From what ur learned Dooku tried too.
