    I have the 36d and we absolutely love it, 13' pad to put 4 atv's in, gas tank, 1/2 bath can't go wrong for the guests or kids. Once the rigs are out we put a area rug down and shut the glass door and on a rainy day let the kids play in the back. Solid unit for the money and zero issues. Great video keep them coming.

    I actually really like this toy hauler! I bought a 38 foot country coach that was $140,000 and then a 24 foot box trailer for my razor or sandrail and all the dirt bikes. 5th wheels don’t really suit me but I really like this setup!

    And you get more ground clearance without the drop frame, which most toy hauling folks need as we go into the desert, beach, hills etc.!

    Fuel tank is for generator also. What a great price and 2 ac units. And E rated tires. Oil gas not a a problem smell.. Haulers have flow through side vents and everything is efi now. Since I double tow, I put the gas cans on the trailer for the toys. One could put a rear hitch rack and carry more gas. Most of the fuel stations don't hold a lot of fuel, especially if you use your generator. We still carry a Honda 2000 also since it sips fuel (boondock) and we can run heater off it tv etc. Again if we hadn't just put much $$ in our whole rig I would be off to grab that beast.

    I would never own a RV that has an inaccessible fridge with the slides in. We have a triple slide toyhauler with an island in the kitchen but it does not block the fridge. We pull over for quick meals and breaks while travelling. Having to put out a slide would suck.

    NICE rig. We considered a 5th wheel toy hauler as a potential full time rig with the garage being my bed room and Lady friend up front.
    The deal breaker is the length as we're going to cross country and too many camp sites are too small.

    I really like this video, however i had a few small issues that the retailer should have realized about presentation.
    The video was taken on a dark overcast day making the video dark.
    The trailer behind the XLR boost prevented the lowering of the loading ramp, preventing a clear view of the garage. It was too dark and grainy. The rear ramp converting to a sitting area is a big feature of toy haulers.
    Once again thank you for providing clear information on RV pricing. This kind of information is invaluable and makes clear the discounts that should be expected in the retail pricing.
    I don't suppose you and the retailer would be willing to do a re-do? I certainly am interested.
    I like your videos, keep up the good work.

    • @chapc

      Stacy Reid the height of your toy is exactly why this has the split seat/bed mounted to the wall rather than raised up. To give you more height for the taller UTVs. This might fit nicely for you.

      @chapc 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      If possible, I recommend bringing your UTV to the trailer before you fall in love with it. Tell them you want to put it inside before you buy it. I suspect most would let you.
      I bought my Keystone Raptor before I got my RZR 4. I had to buy the 900 when I wanted the 1000. The Raptor only has a 12’ garage, and the 1000 is 12’ 3” long. So I went with the 11’6” 900. Now I had to buy my trailer in a hurry but had I known, and had the time, I would have looked longer for a 14’ garage.

Original price as it is 42,000, I paid 21,000 used but like New with turn key amenities. Nice when you can still access things when you can't push the slide out. Nice large bathroom, though I still like a wet bath area. Many won't but I do.

      Denise Wilkes I can’t do a washer in the garage. I want to put my toys in there, and I can stand it when they take up my precious little garage space for that. (Personally)
      Why do you prefer it back there? What is the perk of it? Mind I have a 12’ razor 4 that I put in mine, so I need the space. I am also against the door opening into the garage. Mine does that and I can’t get in when my toy is in there. I have to go outside and in the side door. Just a pet peeve I guess.

    I have owned two toy haulers and I have never had gas smell. If you are maintaining your units this is a non issue. My question is why don't they make a garage that will hold two RZRs? If you have small atvs or motorcycles that would be ok to have that small of a garage. This unit just makes you double pull so that you can take your multiple units out to play.

    • @kong3
      @kong3 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I've double towed since 1989. I currently have a 31' 5th wheel, but have doubled behind hitch travel trailers. Big Campers with Big trucks can handle everything you need... even enclosed trailer behind camper. I use a 10' aluminum most of the time (sxs cars) and use an 18' for places like Moab where you have to tow to trail heads. With aluminum my wife and I can move around the trailers to get door access. Really not a problem. I run Trail sxs's so I access all the restricted 50" trails as well as the open country and they fit on said trailers very easily. (Wife has her own unit) You can get units to hold everything $$$. IE: Outfitted cargo trailers. Even 2 story with a lift. Pay the bucks $$ and you can get anything you need.

      Better check with the states that you plan to travel through. PA, for one, doesn't allow it. But, I agree, that if you have a CDL with a "doubles/triples" endorsement, you should be able to do it.

    • @chapc
      @chapc 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most states allow for a double tow behind a fiver. Only about ten actually allow double bumper pull.
      I thought that if you travel trough a state, that the state you are from would still govern things like towing requirements. I mean... if I move to PA then sure, but if I am just going through it seems odd that I would have to change.

    Question: looking to buy a tow rig in the next 6 months. I'm only interested in new fords. I have owned a dually before and its turning radius was terrible. I read the F450 turns slightly tighter than a F350 short bed. Here is the thing that bugs me. I keep reading that the F450 is geared so low that it rpm are too fast on the freeways when you are not towing. You have a F450, how do you like it on the freeways when you're are empty?

    • @BTBRVReviews

      Love driving it in all conditions. Turning radius is much better than an F350 (7ft tighter). Feels identical to the F350 dually (4:10 equipped) in terms of engine RPMs when accelerating or cruising.

      I know folks want to get half ton towables, and while it can be pulled by a 250/2500, having that one level higher truck than you need, and the dually, they really make a massive difference. You will be amazed how stable that big tall trailer is behind a dually. I have a 40’ raptor toy hauler (about 15k fully loaded) and I hardly even know it is behind my F350 dually.
      If you need the back seats, the F350 is the only way to go. They have very spacious comfortable back seats.

    Hate to bug you, but with the mention of the generator, I have to ask; any thoughts on getting a Cummins/Onan 2300W generator that hasn't been run in a couple years serviced, and running? I bought a Sprinter with it installed under the rear and am building a little home built, "budget build," RV. I don't want to spend a whole bunch of money, and from the research, it seems pretty straight forward to get it running again- new carb & filters, blow out the lines, and go. But I'm hesitant on doing the work myself. Any thoughts? (I'm in the SW Florida area)

      I would drain the fuel system and replace all lines, filters, and do a semi overhaul. should be good so long as the previous owner didn't wreck it

      Big Truck Big RV Thanks. I've rebuilt a '63 AMC, but when it comes to a generator, I just feel out of my element.

    So, I’m 6’6” and my issue is finding a 5th wheel toy hauler that I can shower in without having to kneel. Are you aware of any floor plan where the shower is on the main level with taller ceilings?? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

      Not really. There are several that have a second shower in the back though

      The forest river amp 385 thunderbolt has a large bathroom with 11 foot ceilings. You will have to find a used one because they stopped making them as of 2016.

    Not half-ton towable? LOL. I wouldn't dream of towing this with anything less than a 1-ton dually...

      Chris Gleeton right?!? Not 3/4 to towable😂😂

  • @clearingbaffles

    Can that be towed by a 3/4 ton or is a 1 ton+ required

    • @BTBRVReviews
      @BTBRVReviews  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Gene Murphy: Only a regular cab, short bed, 2wd diesel 3/4 ton truck with the lowest gear ratio would be rated to tow this. A 1-ton SRW could if properly spec'd as well. I would highly recommend a Dually though.

      First, whats the pin weight? If its like 3-4k then its going to be iffy, but I have pulled a 43 ft jayco from Atlanta to North Illinois with 3/4 ton Ford crew 4x4 diesel with absolutely no issues running 65-75. You will need air bags though.

    i find with these RV, the frame, appliances and exterior are for the most part all the same regardless of the line. They give you some BS cheap amenities and raise the price $40k. Anyone with some mechanical aptitude can easily make their own upgrades to increase the "luxury factor".

      I am looking for an RV, and being a contractor, i can't help but think of all the possible upgrades that can be done with a base unit. Quality would also be significantly better if i did it myself. Just need to be conscious of GVWR when doing it yourself....

    Super rare content narration!!! We'd all have to agree with how honest this man is. He must care what Jesus thinks of him is all I can say.
    ( Upgrade the tires, not a lot of sitting space, add bar stools, etc. ect.)
    I'm sure your wife appreciates marrying an honest man and your parents sleep better at night knowing they must have done something right?
