This guy makes it looks really easy. I’ve had the chance to unload cars off an open car carrier. I’ve had no experience working with car hauling equipment, and it was hell worrying about not messing up. To the men and woman that do this, hats off to ya, it’s truly a job that takes time to get right.
LOL i tried working it the first day i had to go to spot 1 above the cab for an hour or 2! At least its enclosed ish you gotta chance to grab something xD
Im trying to understand the "worlds largest" part🤔🤔 I drive an 80' open rack and its a 9 car quick loader Cottrell. The newest enclosed are also 80' and the front and rear covers give a foot or so longer but they dont do anything. They are just there to complete the enclosure.
I love that some of the guys want to show off their cab setup and this guy just really likes the tools they've provided for him
RCi you guys nailed these vids! Professionally done, got a little humor as well. Plus the stories of what you haul for cars is wicked cool. These are not commercials as far as I’m concerned, they are entertaining and educational for car/truck geeks like me! Thanks!
That’s awesome!! Thank you so much. We have so much fun sharing them.
Marty, thanks for showing us how a WiggleWagon "works
Dude everytime I see you guys out here your trucks make me smile.
You guys got some BADASS RIGS!!!
Must be a nice company to work for ! All the drivers seem to love their job and are very friendly! I hope one day I’ll be needing your services 😊
Protect this man at all cost 🧡
Great video Marty, always interesting to see how some other Specialized guys get the job done. I'm a Heavy-Haul/Oversize guy, pretty much "any load, any road", I love it, never the same thing 2 days in a row. I've run as many as 13 axles and grossed over 200,000lbs, and securing the big, heavy stuff keeps me in shape too. I see you run a 4900 Star, I run a 2022 Star 49X SB 4 axle tractor, 18 speed manual with 4 speed aux and the X15 Cummins 605/2050, so far a great tractor, and that's saying a lot coming from a 2020 KW T880. Nice unit you have, and it looks like well designed to make your job easier, enjoyed seeing all the "how to" . Stay safe out there, and enjoy!
Very cool, but as I have a 9 car open, I would of liked to see a little more of the in depth loading process with the ramps & how they all work. Very interesting to see a about the wiggle wagon!!
Unlike you, I don't drive a car hauler but would have enjoyed seeing more of the loading process. I would guess part of the reason a number of the vehicles are backed onto the trailer is so owners at the destination don't get nervous watching the driver back it off thinking their car may get a scratch in the process.
I also have a 9 car open, he said raising the roof is an advantage over us but like how? They don't go down the road like that.
@@wideslammer depends on the vehicle, car haulers back cars on for weight on some axels and getting down in height
Me too
@@catsondrugs he was comparing it to the enclosed trailers they have
Tons of respect for these guys. I'd get nervous just standing near some of these cars.....say nothing about loading one.
I used to live on road used by carriers delivering to NY Auto Show in spring time. I would see Reliable delivering all the time, busy company.
Marty keeps his ride super clean! Always!
Back in early 2000s drove a Freightshaker Argosy cabover with a NuVan in closed car hauler. Hauling up to 8 mostly high end important cars and export Cadillacs. Was alot of fun!
Thanks mate. Really enjoyed your video. You have an awesome rig. I drove an open 8 vehicle for 12 years and I live in New Zealand.
What a cool job! You can tell he is passionate.
“Nebo “ is good brand of flashlights. Get u one.
I've always thought about going to Reliable, but my wiggle-wagon brings me home every morning.
Our Wiggle drivers are typically regional and can get home weekly or biweekly if they choose, and also depending on where home is.
@@ReliableCarriers I'd love to see a video tour of the Tom cat Peterbilt 180" ICT sundowner sleeper
Never seen a car carrier like that. Neat
Great video! Great Company! Great car haulers…..the best company to work for in the industry!
Another excellent video. Good to see this type of auto hauler in use.
Take care,
Marcos
Thank you Marcos! All the best 🙏
Thank you. That's the one unique trailer I wanted to know about.
I can't imagine loading a dozen brand new cars and hauling them across the country. It'll probably give me a heart attack somewhere down the road. Huge respect for these guys
When you looked at your check you would. Parking lots have always been on upper levels of trucker compensation. I’m sure these he does quit3 well.
I bet your maintenance is great! House keeping the best! Thank you for sharing on UT. You’re the Best!
Beautiful Western Star
Western Star was the right choice for that setup - she got a look, a good look - NICE
Great interview, quality driver right there!
That is amazing!......... I have never seen anything like it. I will be going to tech school for my CDL.... I can't wait for this new adventure in life.
I ran an 8 pack Cottrell curtainside "pan" Argosy for BMT Okemos Mi. In '05. I'm not a real good car hauler. I did it for 4 mths. BMWs and Mercedes Subaru's for a backhaul. My first Jeep load was Right hand drive Stick shifts going to Australia.
That was fun.
Cool story!
how did that argosy ride? I always pondered the idea of those types of trucks being used nowadays, especially if they could save some weight and could fit a slightly heavier load compared to a conventional truck...
@@brtecson it rode we'll. Because it was an 8 pack it had a box behind the cab that held 4 cars drive tandems were center of box. It pulled a 4 pack long neck stinger style trailer with a hydraulic bubble tailgate. That raised up. Curtainsides
13 liter cat motor with Jake's 10 speed trans did decent coming across i68 out of Baltimore. Weighted 48500 lbs empty
Cab was like the Century class freighter
No doghouse. It was solid White
Swift had a few they were white with blue curtains. DAS out of Dallas ran a few. As did Wagoneers of Montana
My first driving job was an old kenworth soft side enclosed 8 car hauler. I know exactly how hard this job is. Takes a tough man to do this work.
That trl is ridiculous!!! Hot damnit boy!!
Oooh man the style 👍🙏 just 🔥🔥
Love the Wiggle Wagon!!! 👍🏽👍🏽
Awesome rig keep up the great work
Sensational rig!
Wow. That's amazing
Great video, I know an owner operator that works for Reliable, it is definitely a specialist type of job.
Great JOB Marty❤
Not only does he need to be a good driver, but he has to be a GOOD driver driver lol
Class act driver and company!
sweet rig
Cool! I saw one of your freightliners at kenly 95, I wanna see that western star there one day
That's a nice truck and trailer
Beautiful truck
My man 😎👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾fine job
I love car hauling!
especially in the 9 car stingers.
I’d love to work on that wiggle wagon too, if you’re looking for drivers. 👍🏼
Very Cool !! 👍
Is the floor under the belly open?
I like how clean it looks inside. Nice job
Very proud operator
Man we unload Side by sides atvs and Bikes and we wish we had some of your guys trailers 😂 they’re so nice
like any good tradesman...you learn your craft
When I pulled cars , that passenger seat area had the Hydraulic Tank . Old Anchor Motor Frieght GMC 7 car Hauler .
Don’t scratch the Bossman’s GMC , Marty! 😂 Be safe out there buddy!… From the elite division House Hold Nick🤘🏽..
Hmm! OK amazing video! #keepontruckin_Reliable 😉👌
Huge and Insane! 😍🤩🔥🔥😻😻❤️❤️💋💋 Love it! 💞💞💘💘
I'd imagine it would be quite spacious if the whole tractor and trailer was a RV/Camper combo.
Sweet Rig
I just saw one of these east of Cheyenne on I-80 this morning.
Wow, the interior of that Star is shiny... Mine was always covered in so much saw dust it can never hold a shine for more than 20 seconds after you clean it.
How enthusiastic is he feeling in Minnesota ice rain or Montana/North Dakota snow?
Although it’s nice that set up is a whole lot of wasted expense for minimal gain in payload.
In Australia we carry 8 cars on a standard 19m semi car carrier.
7 on the trailer and one over the cab.
I remember first time took the nine car trying to look over to looking into the hood to see the traffic light because I got too close to the light and I want to hit somebody that was a trip I like your videos keep them up
That is badass, but how does Cali dot treat y'all with that setup.
I’ve been hauling cars professionally for over 10 years in the open trailer. I would love to work for reliable
Please submit an app through our website. We’d love to talk with you about opportunities with us.
ReliableCarriers.com
WOW im getting goose bumps just imagined me in that rig i did freight 8 years bed bugs 18 im 47 and Reliable will be my dream dream DREAM Company i would wana find a home @ Congratulation drivers
Cool I Saw it At A Hotel
When backing different types of vehicles into the trailer why not have your own wireless backup camera as an additional aid?
Sure would help maintain the centreline and also see how close you are to anything.
What makes this a wiggle wagon as opposed to a other enclosed?
What are the class a requirements to sign up? Also what regions are hiring? I'm out of southern Minnesota
Insane and huge🤩🔥💖💋love it! 💖💞❤️
Very cool setup. Good for you.
Marty delivered my car 2 yrs ago to me good man 👍
That’s awesome! We appreciate your business 🙏
Aero dynamics left the chat.
Very nice red nice
Hey Marty, is reliable hiring for the wiggle wagon in 2023?
I HAVE to comment on the title.. the term " Wiggle Wagon" refers to doubles and triples and has for DECADES... In THIS configuration , the truck - trailer coupling is referred to as a " Stinger " and has been for DECADES... Just saying...
Yes, your correct. I’ve run wiggle wagons for 20 yrs. If your stinger wiggles like my wagons use to, there would be nothing left of your cars.
Wiggle wagons are doubles and triples.
how can your trucks be so much bigger then our uk ones but you haul 9 cars max and we can have up to 11?
Takes a different breed to do this job IMO. I'd be a complete nervous wreck hauling something like the 1959 Porsche that won Targa Florio. At that point its not even about the $$$$ that car is worth, its like transporting the Mona Lisa, its a one off work of art. If something tragic were to happen, its not like a new Ferrari where you can just go order a new one.
Agree ! Or grandpas mustang that’s been in the family for generations. We treat every vehicle with the same level of care for that reason, regardless of the price.
@@ReliableCarriers That's so spot on. It might be Grandpa's last car, that Sunday driver. The red on red leather 1982 Coupe Deville with 20,000 miles on it. Not really worth a lot but the sentimental value to the family that owns it is irreplaceable. All of us in the Cadillac club joke about the early 80's Caddys with the HT4100 being the most beautiful pieces of shit ever put on the road lol. Seriously love the Coupe Deville, Eldorado, bustle back Seville styling of that era.
what do y’all haul with the reefer units I see in the back?
Engineer & prototype vehicles
Yeah I was wondering the same when I seen one of your trailer at thermo king dealership on telegraph 🤑
They look so Happy at RELIABLE... A Jolly Work environment is usually very healthy. I wonder if they're hiring.
Sweet truck ! Nice video !
I want to see you load all 9 cars …. Now that would be great to watch in fast mode. If u can.
largest.. How long is it? Sweden, Norway and Finland have interesting combos as well. Do you guys also use Lohr equipment and if so how does it compare to the American brands?
Lohr is here. They are built in Alabama. Good equipment but cottrell has about 75% of the market share. Lohr bought out another car hauling equipment manufacturer. Can`t remember the name.
@@khadijarassa1865 Yea, i remember reading about the buy out. I just wonder Quality wise if Lohr is better or worse
Okay did you guys add a horse sound in at 3:36 because he said barn doors or are those barn doors actually legit bar doors ;)
Haha yes we added the horse sound. I realized after posting that it sounded a bit too realistic 😂
Did you guys add sound to when he opened the 1st barn door(3:30) or is that door in pain? 😂
Also, the "Raise The Roof" insert was 🔥
We added sound effects but realize now they were a little too realistic 😂
That's a nice lookin rig. Silly question time... I'm from Australia and wiggle wagon isn't a term we use... What does wiggle wagon mean?
Typically means two trailers/wagons.
@@electroniccheeks ok so the combination can bend in the middle (unlike a semi) or .. wiggle.. makes sense. Thank you 👍🏼
Wiggle wagons are doubles and triples trailers. This is 1 trailer hooked to a truck.
@@coaltrain18000 more trailers more wiggle.
Let’s go Super Cat Racing Again
Agree!
If that cab is little, you should try those of EU car transporter
How much yall making a year??
3:35 where was the horse?
With enough repeat customers, it's almost like having a route
I bet that curtain side doesn't pay near as much as lift gate
Drive to Torrington CT RT 8 for my delivery please thank u asap
I did 37 years on the road.”Wiggle Wagons” have always been doubles or triples. They changed the meaning of”Good Buddy” what’s next “Pickle Parks” Can we at least let “Pickle Parks” remain for rest areas??
👌👌👌
Lol that's not the largest in the world we have road trains in Australia twice as long as that thing that carries cars
What’s the height ?
You ment to say the edge or outside of the tire
that is.... a very very nice star car! The money spent on that build, damn it driver! 🤣🤣
WHAT MILAGE YOU GET FOR THIS ONE
LOOK SO MUCH aerodynamics THEN OPEN CAR HAUER
Reckon it's just me; Because I can backup any size truck trailer into almost any dock. I can not for the life of me, back a dam car off a portable parking lot. Using a buddy who hauls car's, I've tried numerious time's to no avail. While he does it quite fast. It takes me fifteen to twenty minutes each.
