Hi Max Tech. Did you know that there’s a major issue with iPhone 12 & 12 Pro models with OLED screens? It seems like Pro model is affected more. Try turning on any pitch black video (search “pure black” in TH-cam) in a dark environment and set the brightness to ~50%. You’ll notice that the screen will not stay pitch black but start to pulse light dimly. It doesn’t seem like Apple knows this issue exists and so far most of the Pro models tested shows the same issue.
So I used to go to college 9-5 listening to music all day on my iPhone 7 and it would go from 100 percent to dead by 3 o’clock. Now I go all day at college on the 12 and by 5 it’s on 70% it’s so crazy
@@shinnosuke1782 yeh it is. It is definitely worth an upgrade if you’ve had an older phone for a long time. I bought my 7 completely destroyed and so I replaced all the parts that needed replacing and fixed it and had it for free
After a long 2 years and 7 months I’m finally upgrading from the 7 to the iPhone 12 my battery life is awful I just updated it to latest version of iOS 14.4 and it’s so crap I have to legit charge it 7-13 times a day just so I can get usage out of it

Loving my 12. I dont even charge it over night anymore. Topping it of in the morning is more than enough to last the day and I am using my phone a lot. Have the 64GB model and it's well enough!
Same I had a 7 Plus before and I had to charge it at least 2 times a day and leave it charging overnight. Now with the 12 i charge it every morning, no overnight charging, and I’m still left with around 40-50% battery the next morning. Loving it so far!
Upgraded from my iPhone X and I can’t be more happy. The cameras, battery life, cellular speeds, screen size, performance everything is so much better. Worth the upgrade from iPhone X based on my personal experience
I’m also planning to upgrade my X. How do you like the build coming from a X (as it has aluminium unlike the X). Is the pro model worth that for the more “premium” build? I’m super confused
@@ramlalmaheshwari7505 I don't think I miss the more "premium" stainless steel sides as it made the iPhone X really heavy for its size (even my mom's s10+ which is way bigger in size than iPhone X felt considerably lighter than my X). So I like the lighter feel of the iPhone 12 and I don't necessarily think that a heavier phone means more "premium" as apple has marketed it to be. I think when you're carrying your device inside your pockets for the entire day, every gram of weight reduced is noticeable
@@cella630 I also thought the same that I'll miss the tele lens but in my testing with the X also, iPhones only use their tele lens in good lighting (as they usually have slower apertures than the main lens) and when in medium to low light (like indoors), even the iPhones with tele lens switch to cropping from the mains sensor to give that 2x zoom (you can even cover the tele lens and camera won't be blocked). So, now with the 12, I just zoom in 2x (remember you can still "zoom in" using the main lens but you can't "zoom out" without having a ultrawide lens). So IMO, iPhone X's 2 cameras weren't as versatile and useful than the iPhone 11's or 12's (apple knew this and hence removed the telephote lens in favour of an ultrawide). Now I can't go back to a phone w/o an ultrawide lens, although I can manage w/o having a dedicated tele lens (as I can still zoom into the main sensor and pics come out to be super sharp until 2x I would say)
I agree that it’s definitely the time to upgrade. I’ve been holding on to my 8+ for awhile and almost upgraded last year to the 11 Pro max, but I’m glad I waited because I’m much more excited about the 12 Pro this time around.

Yup I upgraded from 11 Pro, it was only a one generation upgrade and massive difference for me, very noticeable. Before I went from the X to 11Pro i didnt feel a big leap but this year wow i think i will be keeping this phone for 2-3 years its definitely future proof.
I’m a hardcore Android user who recently switched to the iPhone 12 and ABSOLUTELY love it. Like seriously, this phone makes me so happy. I’m not necessarily however going to start “bashing” android. I didn’t switch because it was bad, I just simply got more drawn to iOS as the years went on. I still personally think it just comes down to preference between which to use, there’s no better or best. That being said the iphone 12 itself is a BEAST. Have finally got used to the iOS interface and love it, the phone feels super snappy and the CAMERA is generally just a very go-to amazing camera. But what blew me away is the battery. It is just insane. I came from a pixel 3 which I would say is a ~decent to bad~ battery so it was a major MAJOR upgrade. Overall I highly recommend this phone! I was contemplating whether to get the cheaper 11 but ultimately the 12 as if I wanted to switch from android, I might as well get the best apple offers and extremely glad I did. The price of the phone is still pretty high but I really do mean it when I say I have no regrets buying this phone!

This is what i wanted to hear, i am a international truckdriver in europe and always have problems with connection on LTE with my iPhone 11, music will stop while driving and bad connection on LTE on overnight truckstops, streaming video is often very difficult. I use my iPhone for hotspot to my iPad but that does not work every time. I will buy the iPhone 12 after seeing this review, thank you greets Robbie.
I just bought this phone a week ago. Loving it. Best iPhone I've ever had. Battery life is awesome on mine. I recommend this phone to any Apple fans. I switched back to iPhone from Android and as much as I love my Android phone, I don't regret switching. I have a MacBook Pro so it'll be nice having a phone that I can use with my laptop. What a review! I left iphone 2 years ago with iphone 7, that was a major failure with battery. My wife got an XR and I was amazed at battery and performance. I went android and while I've got to love it in many ways I always keep coming back as I know that apple are the best, facts.

i got this phone a week ago in black and there’s a lot of differences between my old phone (7 plus) and this one. This is a great phone and the size is perfect. I have big hands for a girl and it still doesn’t feel awkward, and coming from a big phone i got used to it the same day. The camera is astounding and so is the display. I no longer get headaches from using it for a long time. If you are debating on whether or not getting it, definitely do it
I pre ordered max under 3 mins n it still got back order till December 25-December 1 but still hype best part didn’t have to pay a dime since I do flex plan:)
I can pay just buy looking at my phone thanks to that notch,I wouldn’t give it up. And most games are aware of the notch ,so you don’t really intrude on them.
@@travissmarion Funny, I guess you don’t play much games. The MNOs such as lineage 2 revolution have it even in the settings how to work around it. It blocks literally nothing from the UI of the games and this is where your left thumb rests anyway . Without it chances are there will be just more false clicks on the space.

I really noticed a difference between having 5G on and keeping it at 4G LTE, battery drain is very noticeable.

What a review! I left iphone 2 years ago with iphone 7, that was a major failure with battery. My wife got an XR and I was amazed at battery and performance. I went android and while I've got to love it in many ways I always keep coming back as I know that apple are the best, facts.

I've got a Samsung s8+ and an iPhone 8, I haven't used a screen protector on either of them and only have two tiny and not really visible scratches.
Well I use cases but no screen protectors.

i got this phone a week ago in black and there’s a lot of differences between my old phone (7 plus) and this one. This is a great phone and the size is perfect. I have big hands for a girl and it still doesn’t feel awkward, and coming from a big phone i got used to it the same day. The camera is astounding and so is the display. I no longer get headaches from using it for a long time. If you are debating on whether or not getting it, definitely do it

@@travissmarion Funny, I guess you don’t play much games. The MNOs such as lineage 2 revolution have it even in the settings how to work around it. It blocks literally nothing from the UI of the games and this is where your left thumb rests anyway . Without it chances are there will be just more false clicks on the space.
