The iPhone 11 is still rocking just fine. Definitely less issues than the 12s. Not as long as battery life. But I work at a repair shop. And iPhone 11’s are the most common to come in to be fixed. People aren’t getting rid of them. And I’ve had mine since 2021. Still as fast as my fingers. All I care about 😄
Yeah...I've got an XR and it's a great phone. Literally, these reviewers are still mainly harping on the lcd screen, as they did from day 1, and no one but reviewers care, lol. I certainly don't.
You contradicted yourself in the first two sentences: Iphone 11 is still rocking just fine.... iphone 11s are the most common to come in to be fixed.... 😂😂Sounds like a shit phone if its the MOST common to need to get fixed.
I upgraded to a 13 Mini in January this year, and I absolutely love it. It has the same footprint as my iPhone 7 which, at the time, wasn't considered "Mini". I was able to get a mint condition 13 Mini in Product Red, with 100% battery. At the time, the Amazon Apple Store still had new ones on sale, but pink was the only colour still in stock. I'm not a fan of full cases, and I don't want to hide the gorgeous red, so use a bumper and Mag Safe grip. l've got a MagSafe battery bank that I also use as a stand to trigger Standby Mode. I use an iPad Mini too, and am impatiently waiting for its upgrade. I was hoping Apple might use the 13 Mini frame for the next SE. If the company thinks we don't want Mini iPhones/iPads, it is VERY wrong. Thanks for the content.
100% agreed. Just got a 13 mini too from a 5S (yea im kinda broke). Saw a good listing from ebay at $270 and i couldnt resist upgrading. Arrived really quick with 89% battery health. I think the small screen is really good in my use case as being able to hold it with one hand is a godsend for school. we can really only hope that the se 4 uses the 13 mini case or that there is a 16 mini, though apple really disappoints sometimes.
Almost exact same situation here. I love my mini. Got a 128GB 13 mini a year ago from eBay, the battery health was 96% and it was in really good condition (a couple of nicks to the colour on the side, but who cares, a case covers that anyway). Product Red too, love it - I really like the purple they did on the 12 mini, and the mint is lovely, but red is in my top 3. I am genuinely really sad that there aren't any small flagship devices anymore. I have small hands, the mini is already the biggest phone I've ever had and it's the absolute LIMIT of what I'm able to hold and use comfortably. Any bigger of a screen and I can't hold it one handed and open control panel! I know they don't sell incredibly well but... introduce a mini every 2 years, at least? I'd take it. I am going to be clinging onto this thing for years, I think. The battery health is already down a fair bit but my screen time is to blame - hoping to get a replacement within the next year and then keep it going as long as I can. Fingers crossed...
iPhone 13 pro 256 had it since release and still going strong, and at 89% health. Got at least another couple years with this thing before it's time to upgrade, only thing I'm missing is a larger display, so will go with the max next time.
@@nirshadnijam2291 Amazon renewed. "Good condition". There are a lot of different sellers selling them. I got the blue 128gb and it's practically like-new cosmetic condition other than some dings on the sides. 84% battery health. Great value, but I wish the battery life was better.
For me standard 13 is the one most make sense among them all, it has decent battery upgrade from 12 and very similar to 14 but cheaper. I'll only recommend 12 and 14 if they have $80 price difference from 13 with same storage. Also 13 Pro (smaller one) is way more make sense than 12 Pro Max, it has better cameras, better battery, brighter display and most importantly 120Hz refresh rate. 13 Pro is at least worth $110 more than 12 Pro Max in same storage
The 13 Pro is a great phone. I’ve had it for the past three years since new and I don’t plan on getting rid of it any time soon. Better battery life than the 14 series and more durable than both the 14 and 15 lineup. It was rated as one of the most durable iPhones ever built based on drop tests and overall build quality. dropped and has been in ocean, pool and lake water and it still looks mint when I take off the case.
Almost all iPhone 13 series phone users reported serious green/white screen issue when upgrading to latest iOS. iPhone 14 series users reported fast battery drain & ageing issue iPhone 15 series users reported overheating & hence fast battery drain, ageing problem
@@gokultn72 where are you getting this data from? I have the 13 Pro and I have no issues. The phone is three years old and it’s good to go for another three years. Some updates have had minor glitches but nothing that hasn’t been fixed in later updates. Green lines? I’ve never heard of this and I watch a lot of phone reviews. Drop a link please. I’m very curious.
The 2020 SE was actually one of my favorite iPhones. I gave mine to my daughter since she was wanting a smaller phone. Right now I’m using the iPhone 11 and Pixel 6a and really like both of them.
Ok, so l checked some iphones prices in amazon and ldk is it discount or offer or something but prices of iphone 13 pro and pro max has decreased significantly. Like 520$ for iphone 13 pro max. Is it a scam or should l take advantage of it?
I had every early iPhone & 4 5 6 8 so I love my SE. I broken the screen on my last one just got a new one. I’ll get another one if they don’t brick it like they’re known to do. Zero interest in the modern models overpriced clunky heavy needlessly expensive. When they do I’m going to try android for the first time.
The xr really isnt as bad as u say it is. It is what a have rn and its all i really need. I really dont need the latest ios features ect. All i do is call, text, play a few games and scroll through social media, like most people. Not having ios 18 doesnt affect those daily activities
For regular iphones 12 and 13 are the best value for money iphones ever released. In pro segment iphone 13 pro was, is and will be the most value for money iphones Pro model , it really has a substantial difference from iphone 13 and also it's better than 14 and 15 standard in many aspect. Nobody should buy anything lower than iphone 11 pro. 11 pro has everything great except 5G connectivity . Surprisingly it's battery life is better than 12 series. My choice iphone 12 pro. It's a perfect balance of everything one needs in day to day life. Just wish it was 120HZ display but i think that could have made it's battery life worse. And if i am buying renewed I will never go for standard models, that's why 12 pro. Just avoid all se models at all cost. They are cheap but also they are not much of a good deal. Mini iphones are good but no very versatile so its for selective needs.
I have the iPhone 15 plus and I recommend it for longer battery life great cameras and great performance especially if you have great stable internet (I’m using iOS18 public beta)
Would prefer the 14 pro max, getting an extra camera, always on display, more zoom on the camera, and a better camera, the only bad thing I guess is it's lightning connecter.
I have an iphone 12 and it is worth the price for an iphone, daily use is decent, if you are a heavy user have atleast a power bank that you can charge it on to go, i have a 15W Wireless powerbank and it keeps my Iphone 12 while on the road , i think i will keep my iPhone 12 atleast 3 more years after i upgrade myself to a new iphone, note* i have also 2 other Android phones one is my main phone so mehhh...
Power banks are a lifesaver! 😅 I have 5 😅 one with me, 4 at home for emergencies and power outages. It’s excessive but if there’s an emergency I’d happily lend the extra 4 to my neighbors. They’re a little old but still work great and they’re only $40 for a 2 pack. So if they don’t get returned it’s not a huge deal. I don’t know my neighbors at all but it’s just basic human decency. 1 week or more without power, really bad storms, evacuations, etc. are scary. Every apartment building needs that guy with power banks
I upgraded from iPhone 8 Plus to iPhone 15 pro back in February and I’m telling you it’s a beast despite it only being up to iOS 17. In my opinion it’s way. Better than at Xr. Make no mistake A12 chip is fast. And also I wouldn’t recommend Amazon renewed your prices were listed at discount and the parts aren’t official ands will cause problems overtime. Faster it’s better to get apple refurbished or cheaper from retailers
I have an iPhone 11 since 2019, and iv been using it untill now, and im planning to buy another ip 11, it is a reliable phone and its cheap now for $200 brand new. My wife is using ip 15pro there is a slight difference between the two, except if you want to look rich you go with the latest, go broke later
Me personally, I would buy the 13 Pro Max, it had the best battery life and health, a 120hz screen and the big reason is a sim card slot, so I can switch easily between my S24+ and the 13 Pro Max
After suffering the poor battery life of my iPhone SE 2, I just traded it for an iPhone 12. The only thing I don’t like about the 12 is that with a pouch, it’s difficult to use with one hand; it forces some finger gymnastics 🙂
You missed the Minis. Specially the 13 is a good deal if you want a little bit smaller phone. (I think people in the market for that kind of phone don't expect to much battery and it is good for the size.) On the other hand no mention of the Plus models either.
The Minis were tough for me to recommend because of the battery life and the few accessories (cases, etc.) I don't hate them, but I think they just appeal to so few people now unfortunately too.
i got blue iphone 13 mini two years ago right after iphone 14 launched and the prices were crazy af but i managed to get it before the rise of prices and i don’t even think about regretting, its the perfect phone for me, its tiny which makes it fit in my hands and let me use it with only one hand and the colour is also made straight up for me, of course the battery is the worst thing, but thats well known thing about apple products, also i bought 125gb and now im kinda running out of storage, i gotta buy more icloud space, but i really recommend it, love it
Thank you, good video. I was already pretty much decided on a second hand SE (2022], mainly because it is still in production and even second hand the unit will be no more than 2 years old so the support should last for quite a few years. I will be upgrading from a (second hand, owned by me 3 years) iPhone 7. My younger son will inherit the SE when I eventually upgrade from it in the future so it feels like a decent investment.
What are your thoughts on the new upcoming iPhone SE? compairing to the iPhone 15… Is it better to wait till for the new iPhone SE and see how much is the price or would you not wait and buy the iPhone 15 after the release of the new iPhone 16? thank you for your help… really good information and straight to the point, I appreciate it
I currently have $400 on me, saving more to purchase the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Although apple stopped making these recently, there are some stores that sells these phones. I think it's priced around $600 now since iPhone 16 series have released.
just upgraded my iphone xs to the new iphone 16 pro, 100% worth the upgrade for me my battery on my xs was super bad to the point i would sometimes have to charge it twice a day (i didnt even use my phone that much) my new 16 pro battery can last me 2 days without charging, and i can take some breathtaking photos! along with all the new features, such as an action button, always on display, screen improvements, and working face id (my xs face id didnt work) it really was a no brainer to finally replace my xs
@@pizzaforever69get an iPhone 12pro max that is a good deal plus it’s a good phone , you’ll get everything, I’m using 12 pro though but since you can afford a 12 pro max go for it
Just ordered the iPhone SE 2020 for my brother ($120 on Woot), for my 80 year old brother, who needs a hearing aid app, which the his Android phone sucks at. Also adding my Audible library and music for him to use. It's supported thru 2027.
Shouldve checked for se 2022 its supported till 2029 at least and is just that little bit better same design but just a little more reliable and durable. But the se 2020 still works pretty great
definitely the 14 pro, it has almost all the features of the iphone 15 except for the titanium and action button and the price will also start to decrease when the iphone 16 gets released next month.
I have an ip15 and I did not regret buying it as I preferred smaller phones that fits my pocket. You have point in someways, that pro and pro max is way better (specs wise) than the based model phone, however, it always depends on one's preference anyways.
The SE3 had the A15 chip that came with the iPhone 13 which makes it smarter and faster than the iPhone XR and 11 and gives it at least 3 more years of updates. If you're going to put the XR and 11 on this list then you have to include the XS/Max and SE2. All of these phones(XR, XS/Max, 11 & SE2) are on the chopping block of not getting new updates. Your best bets are to select from the 12s, 13s and newer (the 11 Pros are a toss-up. Take them or leave them)
XR is perfect for a 10 ur old's first iPhone. My daughter just got a new 11 (she just graduated from graduate school and can't afford a 15), and she loves it.
Im debating between the 13 pro max and the 12 pro max and im honestly not sure what to go with I currently have the z flip 5 and it's been giving me so many problems i just want to go back to apple
I'd say 13 Pro Max I got mine In Late February it was my Return to Apple after 5 years with Samsung I love the 13 Pro Max I probably wouldn't get an Android again I just enjoy iPhone a lot more plus Pro Motion is amazing
I got a 14 abt 2 months ago. It works amazing. I get abt 7-8 hours of screen on time daily. Still at 100% battery health. Screen brightness is decent havent had much if any issues with it. Cameras are great. And the red is really pretty. Runs ios 18 like a charm as well 😊
@@markoroncevic i watch alot of short form content alot of youtube music in the gym sometimes i play codm or pubgm. Camera snapchat and other social media apps. And thats abt all
Helpful video, Wade. I've been using the iPhone 13 Mini for some time now and the battery is getting problematic, and though I love this little phone, I really want a bit larger screen. Once the 16 line drops I will likely purchase an iPhone 15 since those will probably be discounted.
I just bought a brand new 14 Plus voor 600,- Euro and am truly happy with it. They still are sold for 749,- where I live. I still have a 13 mini which to me is the best phone ever, but needed a backup which is future proof. The 15 series is to expensive for my taste and quite fragile. Also the 14 Plus has a great battery. Quite a recommendation if you don’t want to break the bank on an iPhone. 😉
As a pixel 6 owner and noticing that android updates won’t be supported on the 6 in a couple weeks however security updates will still be supported for a couple yrs. would you recommend switching phones or sticking
Completely agree. My SE 2nd gen served me well but it’s battery is terrible. After only a year I needed to full charge it once during the day for my regular use. I just got a regular 16 (I wanted something brand new that could last me 4+ years) and it’s such a difference.
best bang for buck: 13/13pro if you want 120hz or just wait for the 16 series cause I feel like they will do the 15 series dirty like how they did the 14 series dirty as well.
If you like the smaller size, go for the newest SE - it's almost identical in shape. Alternatively there's the 13 mini - the screen is bigger but the actual phone itself is almost exactly the same size, it's actually a tiny bit shorter. (I went for this!) You can buy them secondhand, or refurbished from Apple's website. If you don't care about the size of the phone, then just try getting something that'll get security updates for long enough. You could get a 13 and it'd feel very modern, and there's still a good few years of updates left in that. If you make your phones last for years and years, it could actually be worth getting a 15 once the 16 starts selling, and keeping it going until 2030. Depends on what you want! The feature differences are honestly minimal. From 12 onwards the only real changes are battery life and camera quality. And the 12 camera still holds up really well today, the only place it "lacks" is when you need to zoom because it doesn't have a dedicated lens.
I think if you genuinely don't care about battery life, the 12 Mini is a great phone for the price. But I'm not exaggerating when I say it likely won't last a full day without needing to be charged.
Definitely get the battery replaced! Batteries for an XS might start getting trickier to find soon. Once you've done it it'll feel like a whole new device.
im a fan of the 14 pro and above iphone series just because the different front camera thing (dynamic notch is hows its called i think?) is really, really oddly appealing to me lol, it's the only thing i ever stare at if i'm ever with someone that has a 14pro^
@@iPhoneOS_ no. When you buy an iPhone you want some kind of longevity. It’s almost impossible if you actually plan to use it as a major device. It’s extremely niche that 64 is enough
Meh depends on the person. Some people may literally never take any pictures and only have 3-4 other apps on their phone. I agree that 64GB isn't much though. Apple always wants to sell you iCloud nowadays too lol
I broke my 13 pro max and swapped to a 11 64 gb for $200 on a new plan and after I put my iCloud and info on there I was at half storage before any apps lol. I’m getting a 15 pro max as a upgrade because of the added space for $110 to start financing and $33 a month looking forward to use it and the upgrade lol
In short: Not recommended to Buy: iPhone XR iPhone 11 iPhone 13 iPhone 13 pro Below due to price - iPhone 13 pro max iPhone 14 Pro iPhone 14 Pro max iPhone 15 - pro - max ect Good to buy: iPhone XS iPhone XS Plus iPhone 11 Pro iPhone 12 Pro Max iPhone 14 Best to buy: iPhone 12 for price mainly - and processor ect
If you are considering the 14 either save some money and get the 13 (they are literally the same phone even the same chip) or get the 13 pro because the pro has the 120hz screen and the third camera
I was debating on getting the 16 but I think I’ll wait one more year. I currently have the regular iPhone 12 and so far it works just fine besides battery not lasting very long anymore. Now I’m debating if I should just change out the battery or just get a powerbank
Second question it’s $20 cheaper on Walmart than Amazon is it worth the $20 to get it on Amazon or does Walmart have a pretty good refurbish program also, thanks
@@javinkoza3451I'd go with best return and policy, 12 is adequate for normally use today and hold well but I'd recommend the 13 and above skipping the 14 and older pros below the 13
It would definitely be a good upgrade but be mindful that the 12 mini has sub par battery life (like the entire 12 series) so if you can stretch out to a standard 12 or 13 mini you would probably like it more

Best tip i can guve is,pro max iphones are not worth the extra 200 dollars for a slightly better battery and zoom, and for some like me,the pros and the perfect size, pro maxes are way too big
A bit more than battery and camera. 120hz, better build and most importantly of all, better resell value down the road. The non pro iphones tank in resell value much more than the pro models
@@Localfork that I would agree on. But then again you could say that the Pro Max is only 100$ more expensive as it starts with 256gb, and the Pro 128gb
The only older iPhones that makes sense to buy in 2024 are iPhone SE 2022 and iPhone 13 series. 4 to 5 more years of support means more years of use and resale value when you upgrade in 2 years

I'd say get iPhone 13 if you don't care about the latest features and the 120hz from the Pro models. The video is talking about other iPhones to Avoid, idk what he's saying lol. I'd rather own a 13 then the 15 pro max. In December, i'm trading in iPhone 13. And next year, i'm gonna have to change a few settings. I watched 2 videos about it. I'm upgrading my 6s plus to the 13. I got that phone for 2 years, and I bought it . The battery doesn't drain too much, and it doesn't charge rarely. I got it from Walmart, at like a cheap-a$$ price. My advice: Don't buy phones from Walmart, they're a scam, and their phones are super cheap. If you buy a phone from Walmart, that's not going to work out well for you. You'll only have 4G, too much battery drain, slow network service, and cheaper deals. That's my opinion. I don't shop at Walmart for phones anymore, because of the price and the network. I recommend AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile. Those are some amazing carriers.

Agreed iPhone 13 mini is great.
Next iPhone SE should use 13 mini case/chassis.
Damn, 89% battery health is better than my iPhone 15 Pro now lol

The 15 pro is pretty decent aswell obvs not as good as the 15 pro max but still pretty good but I’m gonna get the 17 pro max next yr
That’s what I got today (standard 13)
The 13 Pro is a great phone. I’ve had it for the past three years since new and I don’t plan on getting rid of it any time soon. Better battery life than the 14 series and more durable than both the 14 and 15 lineup. It was rated as one of the most durable iPhones ever built based on drop tests and overall build quality. dropped and has been in ocean, pool and lake water and it still looks mint when I take off the case.
Almost all iPhone 13 series phone users reported serious green/white screen issue when upgrading to latest iOS.
iPhone 14 series users reported fast battery drain & ageing issue
iPhone 15 series users reported overheating & hence fast battery drain, ageing problem

What about the 14pro? I was able to get a 256gb version for 650 7 months ago.
The 2020 SE was actually one of my favorite iPhones. I gave mine to my daughter since she was wanting a smaller phone. Right now I’m using the iPhone 11 and Pixel 6a and really like both of them.
It's also not a bad thing to give your daughter a 2020 SE since the terrible battery life will help teach her to use the phone more moderately

The XR is rocking just fine after all these years...wife approved.

Thank you. I just sent this video to a friend shopping for a reasonably priced used iPhone.
Love Swappa. I've bought several phones from Swappa..I've never had a single issue with any of them.

I upgraded my iPhone 11 to an iPhone 12 Pro Max 256GB and paid 250€ for it. I think it was a pretty good deal!👌🏻

Would you recomend the iphone 12 mini?
Take them or leave them)

iphone 13
best bang for buck: 13/13pro if you want 120hz
or just wait for the 16 series cause I feel like they will do the 15 series dirty like how they did the 14 series dirty as well.
Hello! I was thinking to buy the Iphone 12 Mini because its small and i dont care about battery life, whats your opinion on it?

my mom use a iphone 7 and works really well and have good camera
Should i get an iphone 12 from back market in exelent condition
Best tip i can guve is,pro max iphones are not worth the extra 200 dollars for a slightly better battery and zoom, and for some like me,the pros and the perfect size, pro maxes are way too big
A bit more than battery and camera. 120hz, better build and most importantly of all, better resell value down the road. The non pro iphones tank in resell value much more than the pro models
@@turbosydney Ty I recommend the pros, but not the pro maxes
@@turbosydney between pros and pro maxes it’s just a slightly better camera and battery
@@Localfork that I would agree on. But then again you could say that the Pro Max is only 100$ more expensive as it starts with 256gb, and the Pro 128gb
@@turbosydney yeah I guess so
What about the iPhone minis?
The only older iPhones that makes sense to buy in 2024 are iPhone SE 2022 and iPhone 13 series. 4 to 5 more years of support means more years of use and resale value when you upgrade in 2 years
What's your opinion about 7 plus and 8 plus? Planning to buy one for me and the other for my sister, am I be able to run social media apps, TH-cam, viber and WhatsApp?? Thats my only fear.. Thanks in advance..
@@hercules-86 Support might get slowly discontinued in the next 3 years for some apps. Think of iPhone XR at the very least as an option. The XR is getting iOS 18 which usually means more years of security updates. The SE 2022 is the best affordable iPhone choice
@lilzuplada1564 Thank you for your answer, so you are saying that xr is the best option between the others. OK then ill check it out and I'll go for it.. Thanks again, take care my friend!!
@@hercules-86 if you can get XR for really cheap then yes. But otherwise, iPhone SE 2022 is a wiser choice as it shares the same chipset as iPhone 13 series and is not much more expensive than the XR. The XR will stop getting iOS version updates next year but you will still get security updates for probably two more years. SE 2022 Is supported till 2029.
XR -iPhone 11 body, old chipset, iOS version updates ending
SE 2022 -iPhone 8 body, iPhone 13 chipset, 5 more years of iOS updates
Where I live, XR and SE 2022 are almost the same price
@@lilzuplada1564imagine if the SE 2022 makes it to 2030. iOS 23 or whatever they’ll call it 😂
I'd say get iPhone 13 if you don't care about the latest features and the 120hz from the Pro models.
Those are some amazing carriers.
just bought my iphone 12 from the amazon link!! gonna update y'all when i get it!
