I have an iPhone 12 blue I’ve had it for 3 days and honestly it’s the best phone I’ve had like you can actually feel the upgrades apart from the squared edges
I actually upgraded to iPhone 12 from my iPhone X after using it for 3 yr. X was actually more expensive when I bought it at launch in 2017 for 64gb model and I got 12 128gb for a bit cheaper in 2020 despite 12 being overall a better device than X in all aspects. This goes to show, as technology matures/advances, it becomes cheaper too, like X was a fundamental change to iPhones back then, so it was expensive but now even a better iPhone than it can be had for less money. And I sold my X for $400 still, and so far loving the 12 (especially cameras & battery life is waaay better). I never liked XR or 11 due to the bad display, X had really spoiled me, so I waited and 12 seems like the best upgrade. Hopefully it’ll serve me well for at least 3 years to come, like my X did. 😄
Hey, how are you liking it and how’s the overall experience coming from the X? Also, which colour did you get? Also, haven’t you thought of upgrading to the pro model coming from iPhone X, dont you miss the telephone lens and stainless steel built?
@@ramlalmaheshwari7505 yeah overall experience is great, I like the improved cellular connectivity on 12 which is waaay better than my X and slightly bigger screen as X felt a bit small but 6.5 inch pro max from last yr was too big. So never thought of upgrading to the “pro” models for that reason. 6.1 with size of 12/Pro is perfect middle ground IMO in terms of size. Also, Regarding not choosing the 12 pro, I liked the built of my X (stainless steel band) as it was flashy and all, but it did made the phone quite heavy for its size and when you have to carry your phone in your pockets everyday, you can feel every grams LOL. I Really like the lightness of iPhone 12 and matte aluminium band over 12 pro’s heavier and fingerprint magnet steel band (but I prefer back frosted glass on 12 pro better, due to no fingerprints). Also I do miss telephoto lens sometimes, not gonna lie (especially while taking portrait photos, as telephoto gives you that 50mm dslr portrait look), But I couldn’t justify the increased price of 12 pro over the regular 12 128gb (especially the gap is huge here in India), just because of that one feature. I don’t care about the Lidar or apple pro raw to be honest, I never shot raw on my android phones I have had (even though they had that feature). Also, 4gb ram is doing fine on my 2018 iPad pro 12.9 also, so I should be fine with 4gb Ram on my iPhone as well (although 6gb on 12 pro would have been nicer for long term). But I upgrade within 3 years anyway and iOS is highly optimised, so I don’t think 4gb of ram should be problem anytime soon. That’s my reason for not going for the “pro” model this year. Do you recommend getting an X even now in 2020 as a budget option? Only drawback that worries me is that it came out 2017 and i want the software updates to still ve relevant

Here is my current. I took the phone off last night at 11pm. Pretty sure you can count the time from 11 last night till now. Almost 4hrs screen on with 70% battery left. iPhone 12
For those who say their not getting another iPhone till they remove the notch , that may take a few years and if you have a phone like a 6,7, 8 I’d have to say seriously your walking with full bezels. The notch goes away after daily use
@@jumpers500 the notch is subjective. I personally don’t care that it’s there and I’m sure many other people feel the same way. Even if they shrunk it, it’s still there intruding. Plus it’s there for tech reasons, I like Face ID so I’m cool with it. I’m also happy that they brought OLED to the standard models as well. The pros don’t seem like much of an upgrade though. Edit: I’m also coming from phones with larger bezels so I love the 12 screen.
I got the 12 from ATT for free with no down payment or any payment. It also lowered my monthly bill from sprint at 345$ to 170$ so it was a no brainer. Upgraded from a XR and 8 Plus, so 2 new IPhone 12’s. I’ll be keeping my XS Max as it will hold trade in value for next iPhone drop.
To be honest, I like the design and almost bought it but... it's pretty expensive in Europe and compared to the iPhone 11 Pro which is almost the same price, it's not a major upgrade. If the Pro had 120hz and better camera, I would definitely bought it.
I think this is more then enough to choose. I’m upgrading my 8 plus but idk if I want the 12 or 12 mini. I think the smaller phone might benefit me more at work
Just picked up mine over the weekend and so far I’m really liking it. It’s quick, great photos, and easily lasts me all day. My only complaint is the lack of a charger in the box. I decided against buying the Apple block and picked up a 10 ft cord from Walmart that will work with my existing wall and car chargers.
After 3 days with the regular 12 128gb I’m not as impressed as I hoped to be. I love the square edges (loved the 5). It honestly feels cheaper than my XR. (Very light). Also for some reason I’m having tons of connectivity issues. Same sim has 3 bars at home has nothing in the 12. Camera was impressive until I put them head to head. Great review as always. Thank you
well i personally like that its light but thats personal preference. I also think the camera on the 12 is much, much better then the xr. also it has an oled display, and much smaller bezels, not to mention the ceramic shield.
For regular people who are still using iphone x and above, i dont think it’s worth it to upgrade unless u want better camera setup and better display, an iPhone should last at least 5 years, so what’s the point of getting 5 years of software support if u gonna use it less than 3 years, just my opinion if ur phone is in very bad condition or u are hella rich and u upgrade phone every year, then do what u think right
It’s weird the iPhone 12 is not that much smaller than the iPhone 11 but it feels so much better to hold. The size and weight difference is noticeable.
I am thinking about ordering the iphone 12 mini. Am i able to purchase it from the apple store and return it for a full refund if i am not satisfied with it? Given its within the two week return period and I am in the US
Yes I just did the same today actually I bought the iPhone 12 pro , will wait on the mini I use my phone too much a smaller size and lesser battery would make me use it less otherwise charge it more

Coming from the XR and comparing them side by side for a few days, I have to say that I don’t see it as being a big enough improvement for most people to get unless they can get it for very cheap. The XR and 11’s screens are probably the most impressive phone LCD’s ever made and still hold their own. It comes down to whether you prioritize the mild increase in sharpness,deeper blacks and slightly better color or if you can do without those and prioritize the longevity of an LCD. I’ve never handled the original X but my current feeling is that if you have any of the previous notch-type iPhones, you may want to wait to upgrade.
Huh??? I upgraded from the XR and I can tell the screen is sharper in details and movies/ video content looks amazing because of the XDR oled display. That’s a huge difference coming from the 11 and the XR
I had a XS Max and changed to a 12 in blue - Seriously the difference is huge. It is a giant leap in smoothness and speed. I don't agree with Nick - I think this (with the new chip) is superior to previous iPhones.
Get the 11 pro if you want all 3 cameras get the 12 if you just want wide and ultra wide If you don’t need 5g I’d say get the 11 pro considering the cameras are a little more versatile and you won’t be able to tell the difference in generations especially with speed
The 12 in my opinion, better modem ie qualcom instead of Intel, plus a bigger screen on the 12 than the iPhone 11 pro, plus more future proof ie 5g, plus another year support to. IPhone 12 is the choice in my opinion.
Nick I like your reviews. I just took my iPhone 12 pro back. The design is dreadful and the phone is very uncomfortable to hold. This is one of Apple's worst fdesigned phones. I hate it.
Depends on your taste. Both have oled and both will last a while but you have to decide. The 11 pro has 5.8 screen and will get a year of less updates than the 12 but it also have 256 gb of storage which is a little overkill but everyone has a different usage. The 12 has a newer design and will have a year more of updates but only has 64 gb of storage for base model. The battery is another thing. The pro has better battery than the 12 (atleast from the test than i’ve seen). If you put a case over your phones, the design factor isn’t that big of a deal, but the storage and battery is what you should consider. If you upgrade every 2 or 3 years, do you even care that the pro will have 5 years of support while the 12 has 6? It all depends on you, the user.
maybe it have that late night view on. at a certain time of the day I have mine to auto on where maybe someone just turned it on. It does a yellow tint for blue light protection at night.

@@shubhidimri when u decrease the white light ( settings) u get that yellow tint in iPhones with oled screens. Also apple gets the OLED screens from Samsung 😃
I haven't ever seen a review on the camera when taking pictures on social media like Instagram, snapchat, etc. At least on an android there's definitely a difference between pictures on snapchat and on the actual camera, so it'd be interesting if theres a difference for iphones too.
Its because on android social media apps aren’t allowed direct access to the camera. They use a screen grab of the base camera app working in the background, hence the difference in quality. On iOS the apps use the camera directly so pictures and videos on Instagram/Snapchat are same quality as the camera app. This was one of the main reasons I switched to iPhone.

I really dig the design tbh. They shrunk the bezels on the sides and it just looks so premium. The notch is the biggest non issue to me.

Depends on your taste. Both have oled and both will last a while but you have to decide. The 11 pro has 5.8 screen and will get a year of less updates than the 12 but it also have 256 gb of storage which is a little overkill but everyone has a different usage. The 12 has a newer design and will have a year more of updates but only has 64 gb of storage for base model. The battery is another thing. The pro has better battery than the 12 (atleast from the test than i’ve seen). If you put a case over your phones, the design factor isn’t that big of a deal, but the storage and battery is what you should consider. If you upgrade every 2 or 3 years, do you even care that the pro will have 5 years of support while the 12 has 6? It all depends on you, the user.

When I checked iphone 12 in store the screen had a yellow tint compared to 11
maybe it have that late night view on. at a certain time of the day I have mine to auto on where maybe someone just turned it on. It does a yellow tint for blue light protection at night.

@@shubhidimri when u decrease the white light ( settings) u get that yellow tint in iPhones with oled screens.
Also apple gets the OLED screens from Samsung 😃

I haven't ever seen a review on the camera when taking pictures on social media like Instagram, snapchat, etc. At least on an android there's definitely a difference between pictures on snapchat and on the actual camera, so it'd be interesting if theres a difference for iphones too.
Its because on android social media apps aren’t allowed direct access to the camera. They use a screen grab of the base camera app working in the background, hence the difference in quality. On iOS the apps use the camera directly so pictures and videos on Instagram/Snapchat are same quality as the camera app. This was one of the main reasons I switched to iPhone.
