Can't believe this 😱. Just watched the entire 48 min video without even tapping the screen once to check the time. A very detailed and comprehensive review of the iPhone 12. There are very few videos over 30 mins in TH-cam that don't get boring as you watch it. This video is right amongst them. Keep up the good job. 👍
well exactly the reason I am buying budget phones, why spend more money on a device where someone tells me it "feels better" even tho it does have wayyyy less features (for example: IR blaster, 3,5 mm jack, expandable storage, dual sim, etc)
I switched from my iPhone 7 to a samsung phone. After a few weeks I decided that apple truly is better for me. And this video helped me explain how it was that way. Now I'm definitely sticking to iPhones.
The longer, comprehensive, in-depth format is really nice for someone considering a purchase. It really helps you get your expectations right before buying. Thanks Marques.
I'm not really mad about Apple's trend of removing things. They kinda do that and their followers will always find a way to justify that bullshit. I'm more disappointed in the competitors. Not only did they made fun of Apple, but they also went ahead and do the exact same thing. Absolutely spineless and shameless.
I see so many people comment this and I always feel the need to defend. While some things are a bit flawed like maybe the charger and headphones recently but stuff like headphone Jacks really are an advancement. Like Apple said themselves if we truly want to go into a world where wireless headphones are the normal and they can start shipping AirPods I’m the box instead of the cable headphones they really do need to just completely get rid of the headphone Jack. And they didn’t even say wired headphones are completely unusable as they’re trying to help those who do like them with the dongle and headphones that connect straight into the charging port. As well as that think of it in comparison to other thing, how many tv’s now have AV connections? A lot don’t cause they just don’t need to. This might be a bit of an exaggeration but Nobody is currently using products that require AV connection and nobody is making products that require them so why keep it? Another example is video games and memory cards. Memory cards used to be very important if you ever wanted to not need to beat the whole game in one sitting and pickup where you left off if you ever need to turn the console off. But now that problem is completely gone thanks to consoles having storage directly in them so why would the company’s that make consoles as well as those who made the memory cards keep them around? It’s just a necessity to remove what’s old to bring in something new.
@@Killer1984able dongle and apples own headphones that plug into the port. There are options. And as I said in the future it will be necessary to remove it so why not start as soon as possible? And not only is removing it so we can go completely wireless, but it also has more benefits for example a completely waterproof phone. You can’t do that with a missive hole in the phone.
@@Killer1984able not that I'm on the no-headphone-jack side of the argument, but a really good reason to not offer options is the number of SKUs. The more you have (and the larger your sales scale), the harder it is to manage multiple versions of the same phone
The production is unreal, as always... but I feel like you did not gave me any information aditional to the review, just an extended version of that. For me, this not only means that this is just a "long video", but also tell me that your reviews are incredibly well done, with the exact ammount of information that we need.
And also to include the negatives. Because the point of a review is to actually include the good, the bad and the "in the middle". Unfortunately this video is just fan service for Apple.
I absolutely agree that high refresh rate screens are the nicest addition to smartphones in ages. I couldn't imagine going back to 60hz. My phone, iPad Pro and Windows laptop all have at least 120hz. It just makes for a much smoother and snappier experience. It definitely gives off an impression of speed and quality.
My god, the cinematography is just INSANE on this video. Clearly, tons of time, thought, and hard work was put into this one. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUYS!!!!!!!!!
"Well said my friend!" I went back and looked at your first video, and I really liked a comment that someone said that sums it up for you: "This guy looks talented. He should pursue TH-cam as a career." The thing that comes out for me in your videos, and believe me, NO ONE can ever fake this well, is the fact that you are really genuinely sincere in what you are describing. Keep up the good work, it's good to see someone that has truly pursued what they really like to do, and has been very successful at it!
Apple removes the headphone jack thinking people would forget them in the next few iphones. Marques reviews the iphone 30 : I don't know why they removed the headphone jack
You have powerful presentation skills. It’s refreshing to listen and learn from a person who is incredibly articulate. Thank you. Stay well. Stay safe.
Choosing a phone ultimately comes down to preference. What is “better” or “best” is subjective to the person. I use iPhone because it’s better for me, and best for what I need in a phone. Others choose Android, because it fits their needs. Android has a TON of different types of phones, to fit others’ needs. Want a strict gaming phone? Android has it. Want a crazy big battery? Android has a phone. iPhone works for me, because I want a more stable, smoother, secure device that has a very good camera system, and an optimized ecosystem and operating system. Customization isn’t a huge thing for me; I don’t really care at all about that. Many Android phone makers make great phones that offer more in specific areas, and I can see the appeal for people, and there’s nothing wrong with that. You do you. Many people want to customize their phone right down to its code, and that’s awesome! In addition, Android phones, both good and bad, offers the latest hardware and software features on a phone, sometimes long before Apple, and sometimes to my annoyance (it took HOW LONG before Apple added Swype, as well as cut and paste to its keyboard?!). But again, those trade-offs aren’t as important to me. Apple’s software and security updates are also more frequent, and you will receive them for far longer than most phones running on Android… though some Android phones are getting better at this. I also like Apple’s transparency and stance on data and privacy more than Google’s. Again, these things are more important to me. Ultimately, whatever phone you choose, just be thankful that technology is where it is today. All phones and operating systems have pros and cons to them. It’s your job to add them up, and figure out what you’re willing to live with, and which one will work best for you. That said, even the worst-perceived cell phone is amazing at what it can do, and the information we have in literally the palm of our hands, has never been where it is today, in all of human history. Every phone you buy now will do what you want it to do in the vast majority of cases, and will get you to where you want to go. In all, iOS and Android are very refined and polished services at this point, and are both great options.
I am just thankful of this comment! Its exactly what needed to be said. I don’t understand the whole Android Vs iPhone debate between consumers. What I need from iPhone and apple will be different from what you need in Android and Chrome/Microsoft. Thank you for this logical comment.
I was trying to wrap my head around the 8 million views. Then i looked at the content and the flawless production and I was sold. Awesome content Mr. Brownlee.
If you watched more of his videos Marques would disagree with you on that lol. He explains how it's silly to look for people/reviewers that aren't biased as that's the point of the review, i.e. to see what that particular reviewer likes & dislikes & how their experience was. The thing about following specific reviewers is to calibrate your opinions to their biases, e.g. you know this reviewer has the opposite design sense to yours (like flat vs curved edge screens), so when they dislike the design you know you'll probably like it lol _"If you want an unbiased review then just look at the spec sheet"_ - just numbers on paper, no critiques or observations If they were unbiased they would not highlight the bad-for-consumers business decisions that these companies like to do
@@tubester358 How does highlighting anti consumer practices make them biased? If anything someone biased towards a product would hide it's downsies. And Marques and Arun are about as unbiased as rewievers get. Of course people will always have their opinon, but they always try to be objective and always make clear if something they say is just personal preference
People confuse bias with honesty, and there is a difference. Everyone has a bias. The issue that comes into play is if you let your bias control objectivity. As a reviewer, you do state your likes and dislikes but you also need to highlight the good of the product (no matter what the product is) and not try and make a decision for the viewer. The viewer will make their own mind up with the images and info given to them. All you’re doing as a reviewer is giving your opinion and experience with said product. There are obviously some that let their bias get to them-take Lew from unbox therapy as an example. He has really let his bias for Android and his issue with Apple cloud his coverage of Apple products. Sometimes I feel he does it as that’s what people expect but you can always tell he loves dogging on the product.
@@CallMeVidd They are biased towards their personal values which includes what benefits them and their viewers. I never said *"biased towards the product"* , you just added that yourself And like I said, it is in their words that they're no unbiased (as human beings) and if you think they aren't they're unintentionally manipulating you You can say they're being objective about pointing out observations, but people with a different bias may observe things that they find important which another reviewer doesn't even think about and therefore doesn't even point out As highlighted in Watch Report's comment, you're thinking of honesty & clarity which I agree with, I love Marques's content for the quality & clarity (from thumbnail to title to content), been watching these for nearly a decade
Marcus- I think its time to start comparing the software to other phones now. The phones are all fast but there are features that the iPhone doesn't have that others do that are really great. Like call screening, smart lock, home screen customization etc. We need Apple to start making the software more easy to use in the car etc..

Another amazing content Marques. I am an android user (currently S21) and I was an apple user previously. I had to switch because a lot of items were just outdated. The refresh rate is a huge deal for me, battery and camera also. I absolutely loved the older iphones 6 to 8plus but then android really changed the game. However I am still interested in watching how the iphone evolves. Hope they'll be a bit more desirable in the future. But thats very optional and of course about the personal preferences. :)

I did opposite and after many years with Android I finally switch to iPhone . Android phones work only for the first year and then they start being laggy. Now happy iPhone 13 pro user.
Any phone that costs more than a used car ($1000+) should have a review that goes this in depth. Most consumers are buying a smartphone as an investment. I usually use my phones for at least 5 years, so the 50 min time investment to watch a review like this is more than worth it.
Yeah as phones start to plateau I'm keeping em longer too. Used to get a new one every year. Now it's at least 3 unless some must have feature comes out. Appreciate the more in-depth reviews.

@@ivanooze8266 what's so difficult to give options? It's not like you couldn't go wireless without removing the jack.
To be clear, Apple is guilty of the same thing.

🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Just what i needed
I am just thankful of this comment! Its exactly what needed to be said. I don’t understand the whole Android Vs iPhone debate between consumers. What I need from iPhone and apple will be different from what you need in Android and Chrome/Microsoft. Thank you for this logical comment.

Why I love @MwWhosTheBoss and @Marques Brownlee is because they aren’t biased at all
LoL 🤣🤣 seriously??
If you watched more of his videos Marques would disagree with you on that lol. He explains how it's silly to look for people/reviewers that aren't biased as that's the point of the review, i.e. to see what that particular reviewer likes & dislikes & how their experience was. The thing about following specific reviewers is to calibrate your opinions to their biases, e.g. you know this reviewer has the opposite design sense to yours (like flat vs curved edge screens), so when they dislike the design you know you'll probably like it lol
_"If you want an unbiased review then just look at the spec sheet"_ - just numbers on paper, no critiques or observations
If they were unbiased they would not highlight the bad-for-consumers business decisions that these companies like to do
@@tubester358 How does highlighting anti consumer practices make them biased?
I never said *"biased towards the product"* , you just added that yourself
And like I said, it is in their words that they're no unbiased (as human beings) and if you think they aren't they're unintentionally manipulating you
You can say they're being objective about pointing out observations, but people with a different bias may observe things that they find important which another reviewer doesn't even think about and therefore doesn't even point out
As highlighted in Watch Report's comment, you're thinking of honesty & clarity which I agree with, I love Marques's content for the quality & clarity (from thumbnail to title to content), been watching these for nearly a decade
