I thought there would have been more to do. Basically, a few wires and three 10mm bolts. Great Video!!

Efurd. Why are you showing me how to take my door off?! Lol Could you show me what your around town carburetor is? What are your thoughts on the AVS2? I like the idea of annular primaries. Thanks in advance!

Never know if yo may need to turn a door into a shield lol. My daily driver carb is my quadrajet i even take it on trips sometimes. I have playlist of it. But as for the AVS2 its an upgrade over the older style edelbrocks but still its an edelbrock carb and they are on the bottom of my list for carbs. Never had good luck with them. They can run alright but they are very lacking all across the table

@@Driven_Dragon yep. Not very good performance or economy. The new primaries help with throttle response. But they just dont have the power other carbs do. I have had more edelbrock fail out of the box then any other

Thank you for the video. I’m replacing doors on my O2 suburban.
I didn’t understand somebody’s comment about adjusting things.
I’m picking up the new doors and have to remove them from the other vehicle. Should I take the hardware they are hanging on if possible

Dosnt hurt to have the hardware. If you dont use it you have extra

I think around 50 pounds but it could be more. Honestly i am a bad judge when it comes to that

Wouldn't be easier to unplug it knock the pins out and lift it out so you don't have to deal with readjusting everything? It always works great for me.

As far i seen there is only one bolt hole on this so no adjustment. Pins seem to be a pain when i first started on the passengers side with the door on

@@EfurdGarage I guess I've been lucky lol pins always come right out for me except when I had to do my old grand am. Those I heated. Cut and even then had to drill them out lol they were shot and still didn't want to come out lol on top of that that was one heavy door! I just picked up another grand am with 39,000 miles on it 74 with 400 and of course it needs a nose. Next summer project. Solid floors solid quarters. It's an ugly green though. Barn find. A I feel I stole it at $3000. Look for videos in the future.

@@thecarguy2470 well this trucks design its just easy to remove those 3 bolts. But yea the older ones i can see that. My c10 i had to cut some pins. Nice find

@@EfurdGarage I didn't see a fender in the way on yours lol everytime I do one they usually have slick paint I'm trying not to scratch and fenders lol I wish they were all like a second generation S10. I pulled the pins and changed the doors in 30 minutes both sides lol I kinda like manual doors sometimes. The hardest I've ever done was a 94 Chevy van. Gm put the top bolts behind the dash..the dash has to come out. I put a heater core in and nice dash speakers while I was there just because they were old. I would like to get another c10 which is what I went to look at when I found the grand am. I ended up taking the Pontiac instead lol a C10 here you can buy anything for them brand new really cheap. This one was a chyann loaded but I couldn't leave the Pontiac.
