Hands down the best video ever created for the Chevy 00-06 door panel removal. I'm replacing the window control switch this video helped me knock it out of the park. Reading the comments helps alot people leave great tips in the comments.👍

Right from the jump.. 1st step… mine does not have that screw or cover. Who else hates auto manufacturers who make every model different?
THIS IS the best video I've seen. I'm 75 and DETEST all the different connector latches, especially such as down on the transmission in the mud / oil/ junk and you cannot SEE them to figure out how to release them. THANKS again!!!

I watched your & another video.
When removing the window/lock/mirror switch assy, there is a clip on the rear, bit a screw holding it in on the front. That the door panel needs to be removed first.
You might want to mention that with that last large connector with the swing arms, there is a little button behind the top that holds it in place. That is... when it's all in one piece and not broken like yours. Because I didn't know about it, I forced mine and now it's broken too. 😢

Instead of removing the wire from the light socket in the door panel. I twisted the whole socket and removed the whole assembly. It was easier than unclipping that wire.

Honestly, if it wasn't for my son, and my neighbor, I would still be using putty knives and screwdrivers. I think I irritated them both to the point they forced me to get a set!

My son does installs on emergency vehicles as a second job. Was doing that before starting his career in law enforcement, following in my footsteps.
Between him, and my neighbor, who is also a retired LEO, and who knows how to fix pretty much anything, collectively we have probably every tool 😄

You do know that light on the left corner instead of unhooking the connector you could just turn it and take the bulb out with that and it’s way easier and faster. Also instead of the little cubby compartment coming off you could pry on the right side of the housing for light and pull to right and that is also easier and faster too.

@@MaxF01 one thing I’ve thought about is printing each part of the snake on paper and laying it out like a big stencil.

I already got it printed out and it looks like it should work great, also i was trying to figure out how to go about putting the snake on, like if i should carve it and then paint it or burn it but i think im just going to stain the background black and then carve out the snake

Yes, there’s a screw on the bottom, then you have to push and finagle it out

For some reason after reinstalling the panel none of my switches to the door or mirrors work now. I have no clue what the issue is and haven't read anything about it on the forums
