    Just wanted to comment on the stomach vacuums: I used to travel alot and I got out of practice and my eating habits changed from country to country. And when I lived in Mexico I developed intense chronic heart burn to the point where I couldn't sleep at night. When the medicine didn't work I reached a breaking point in utter desperation and it naturally occured to me to do stomach vacuums with breathing exercises. It completely reversed my condition in a matter of weeks. I know that alot of Westerners suffer from poor digestion and that they are stacking the medication. But listen to your body, there is extraordinary benefit to these breathing exercises. I honestly don't know how else to reach states of deep meditation without it. Let alone dealing with chronic digestive issues.

      Dear Peacemaker,
      Thank you for your comment. Yes, this is a very powerful practice that has helped many in many different ways. Wouldn't it be great if instead of throwing medication around like we do now, to teach people how to let the body itself do the healing?
      Thank you for sharing your story.
      Peace and blessings,
      Michaël

    Dear Bijker, namaste 🙏🏼
    Wow it’s a very well explained video, thanks a lot. While doing this pranayama I do feel pain in my stomach region, particularly when I hold the breath. It’s not a intense pain but I feel uncomfortable. Same time I don’t wanna quit doing this pranayama. Any suggestions for me dear Bijker?
    I usually follow your another video (bastrika, kapalabati, baahya and naadi shodana pranayama together)
    I enjoy doing all the pranayama together but only discomfort I face is abdominal discomfort while holding the breath. Is it common or should I change the practice ? Thank you very much 🙏🏼❤️🍀

    Hello Michael. Your teachings have really helped me. I have a question about this practice. On the exhale do I breath out from the mouth or nose? I know we use our nose for most other techniques. Thank you so much. I appreciate you.🙏💫

    Love all your videos, but feel jealous of your great shape. How can I achieve that nice body? What do you eat, bro?

    • @yogalap
      @yogalap  5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Great to hear that you enjoy the videos! I eat mostly food, but also good vibes, love and keep connection with the Higher Self :)
      I eat plant based diet and take time to appreciate food. No need to eat animals. Food eating is not just something you do with the mouth and taste buds, you integrate awareness to the whole process of absorbing the nutrients in the digestive track. I will make a video about this soon .
      Also when doing Pranayama techniques like Kaki mudra Pranayama, you bring prana - Life energy into the body. This is a mental practice, not just with the breathing system. Learn to do breathing sessions on an energetic level and feel yourself expand with the breath.
      Also physical exercise / Asana practice like this is great : th-cam.com/video/5GRfu3lu2Yc/w-d-xo.html and surfing.
      Enjoy the journey. Peace and blessings!
      Michaël

    Dear Michael, thank you for thus video! I will try in morning. But just want to ask..when I’ve tried bhaya pranayama few times..I felt like even my throat was sticking and that scared me bit so then feel should just let go. Is it normal for throat to also stick?

    • @yogalap
      @yogalap  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dear Vandana,
      Yes this can happen. I would suggest you do some good asanas (yoga poses) before doing these kinds of practices. Like: camel pose, snake pose, neck openers, sun salutations etc.
      It is good to really open up all the systems in the body before doing Bahya pranayama.
      Also, make sure that you take it nice and easy, it might take weeks/ months before you really get the hang of it :)
      Peace and blessings,
      Michaël

    Thank you Michael for your great videos, your professionalism, kindness and generosity. I feel so grateful to have discovered you. Your teaching is so clear, so complete and easy to follow. It made such a change in my life. A difficult childhood and lots of bumps in my life resulted with a high level of anxiety and sleeping difficulties. I realised a while ago that my breathing was a problem and if I could improve that, it would a big help release my anxiety and improve my sleeping. No yoga teachers or physiotherapist were able to help me and then, thanks to an interview with Mindful Movement I discovered you and tried your classes. And I slept so well and felt no anxiety for three days now ever since I started these classes and this during the difficult period of corona virus. I highly recommend Michale Bijker’s teaching. 💓🙏 namaste.
