- if your snow foam lance doesn't produce a thick foam anymore, or it starts to leaking, you might want to watch this..
also remember to rinse the foam lance after each use,
so you won't have soap scum build up that will be blocking the gauze in the future.

Sorted mine out nicely, wasn’t foaming at all anymore. Took it apart & everything looked clean including the gauze but leaving it to soak over night sorted it right out 👍🏻

Hi Alfie. Great easy to follow video. What sort of concentration ratio do you use for the caustic soda solution? My tub says to Dissolve 55g (2 tablespoons) of caustic soda in 1 litre of COLD water for use as drain cleaning. Should i use the same dosage?

Thats a great video, I'll save that. I usually spray fresh water after use. But I don't store it upside down. It goes back on the bottle. Never an issue with it. I think rinsing it is very important after each use 👍

Far safer and a lot cheaper is to use citric acid powder. The stuff you can buy in Asian stores. I think it's mainly used for pickling but I use it to descale my kettle also.
Just boil a kettle full of water and add a packet of the powder into a large mug. Costs 80 UK pennies. 👍

Any luck finding the correct o-rings ? There are tree different sizes on the foam cannon. Very difficult too find the wright ones.

Under normal circumstances, we DO NOT have to place teflon tape on the O-Ring connections. However, it is common to use teflon tape when the O-Ring is aged and worn. The ideal solution would be to change the O-Ring with new ones every time. There are also special lubricants on the market that help O-Rings to remain in good condition.
Beyond that, it's a great video, like many other videos on your channel. Well done! Keep going.
@@alfierenadhie In the plumbing (this is my profession), we use a kind of fat. But here, this is not drinking water, so the silicone grease is ok. I also usually use teflon tape for precautionary purposes. After all, it will never hurt the tool.

@@alfierenadhie I dont understand, but yes mjjc sells the orifice, its works on Autobrite foamlance.
Usually it comes with 1.25mm but if your pressure washer is weak use 1.1mm more foam.

You shouldn't use teflon tape if you have an o-ring seal already. You could introduce a leak.
Alfie Renadhy in this case the O-ring is what's providing the seal so if you tape over it there is a chance the water can flow around it. It's probably fine to leave it as is, but when you already have a gasket or an o ring you don't need tape. It's odd they say to tape it.
I would say it's ok to put the Teflon tape on the threaded section only, carefully of course so not to contact any part of the o-ring.
