How to get MORE FOAM from your Foam Cannon | Car Detailing Tips and Tricks | Pressure Washing

  • I get asked all the time how i get so much foam out of my foam cannon. Alot of people complain about it being too watery especially when they are using a lower Gallons Per Minut ELECTRIC pressure washer. Most foam cannons are rated for high GPM units, but this one little trick will make even the cheapest pressure washer and foam cannon spray thick foam!

    I use hot water when I mix my soap in the canon. Not boiling, just hot from the kitchen sink. It really helps make thicker foam that stays on longer.

    • @koreywilliams4570
      @koreywilliams4570 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I wonder why that works. The water coming from the hose is pretty cold.

    • @pd5041
      @pd5041 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@koreywilliams4570 It’s using soap/water from the cannon. So it kinda mixes I’m guessing?

      Soap is half oil. Hot water increases viscosity of oil

    • @Voliere-infoNl
      @Voliere-infoNl 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      lowers viscosity* Basic physics, the hotter a fluid, the lower its viscosity will get.@@Mrkevi123

    • @Robertapodaca82
      @Robertapodaca82 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@Mrkevi123 hot water would lower the viscosity. Think about warming up butter, butter is also oil but when you heat it up it liquifies and has movement. Higher viscosity means it has less ability to move/flow, just wanted to throw that out there for everyone. I'm not sure that's the reason why it creates more foam, just my two cents

    Thanks for the great tip! This is a game changer for me. I have the same cheap foam cannon and chemical guys soap. Usually the foam runs off so fast, I’m rushing with my detail brush. Just ordered the orifice and can’t wait to change it out.

    You are the only person who has ever talked about this. There might be others out there I personally have never seen a video like this before yours. I have seen people who complained about the foam coming out. They try to make adjustments and even changing their soap. After seeing many of those types of videos I wasn't sure if I would have the same result so I just decided to pass on it. After seeing this I'm most definitely going to buy one.
    Thanks for the useful information. I always make sure to leave a big old thumbs up when I watch your videos. And I have already been a subscriber just never saw this video.
    Look forward to watching more of your videos.

    I finally got shaving cream foam from a very cheap Amazon foam canon. I changed the orifice, got good foam and my regular power wash (Costco Spyder - 2000 psi, 1.2gpm). I added a short gun and that is it. The result is amazing. I wish I could upload videos here.

    Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use th-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall.The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.

    I got the ryobi 40 volt hp whisper series 1500 psi 1.2 gpm I’m impressed with the pressure washer for being battery power with boost mode on it foams really good as well have lots
    Of
    Batteries so runtime is no issue
