- Welcome to Moonlight Manor, where organic meets structure to create something unique. Even in broad daylight this build seems to be illuminated by the moon and I thought for sure I've heard it howl.

I didn't get to show all the details of this build in this video, but I did a livestream where you can view it in more detail!

To anyone finding my channel for the first time, I have plenty of other timelapse videos like this one in this playlist.

Ah, the artist's paradox, where you stare at your work for so long it no longer feels special, and you were there to see it go from a single sketchy line to a masterpiece, so you can't tell just how good it really is.
Meg, I promise you, this is an outstanding and amazing build, avoid looking at it for a few months, and then when you come back, you will baffle yourself!
I didn't realise the TH-camr was called MegRae as I didn't see the account before reading this comment and had a jump scare cus I'm called Meg. 😅 Think I'm gonna subscribe just cus of this though
@@noheroheretryagain837 I was talking about YOU MEG

The building community of Minecraft have this immense creativity with infinite potential but it just goes under the radar. Great Build Meg, your builds inspire me to work on my building skills and make me realize that how much more I need to improve upon them. Thank you for this Masterpiece.
Can I ask what are some other amazing builders I can look into??
@@evn556the king of them all is bdouble0, check him out, he is indeed a God at building
Dust... you took the time to make the attic dusty. DUST! I had to rewind a couple times because i just kept saying DUST... my goodness this is exquisite.
The dust brings it all home. It's fascinating
DUST!
I xas thinking the damen! Amazing

I can’t lie, I didn’t realise this was a minecraft video until looking at the thumbnail for 7 seconds so holy this is realistic
22:06 i think thats part of the charm, there is something uniquely dreamlike about this build. From the piercing eyes on the house, to the oversized steps to the mansion, to the over-glamorized yet super cozy interior, to the thematics of the moon and time. Where the hell are we? It feels like something a child dreamt up, like a setting for a Ghibli movie.
ive been watching minecraft vids since 2012, this is probably somewhere in the top 10 coolest most memorable MC builds ive seen. Its not even about the scale or the detail, but the character and how clever it is. Serious props.
Those are quite literally some of the best megatrees I've ever seen.
nah cause this is so fire.
i know there's bare people out there who still think mc is just a game for kids but this video proves it can be a place to make art like any other software
x2, I agree with you
My regular viewers know it, but there’s a reason the simpler build get more noticed. It’s what most associate Minecraft with. We live in our own creative bubble
My painting made it in the video!! And its the first one showcased :D helll yeaaaahhhh
I had the watch from the thumbnail because I knew you wouldn't clickbait, but the fact that you did a whole interior just because? You're insane, this was amazing.
Nah this is crazy. The best part is it's not only impressive from a technical standpoint, it's also very unique, never seen a building with photorealistic eyes before.
THE DUST IN THE ATTIC! And all the furniture and the trees!! Truly outstanding!
This would make a beautiful setting for a pixelized style video game, or an animated piece of media, or a webcomic. The vibes are so intense, and also I love how the eyes follow you- in poitrature at least that's how you know you've made a masterpiece
This is absolutely MINDBLOWING!
I've seen and built lots of Minecraft projects, so I'm not easily impressed anymore, sadly. And I've been following you for quite a while now, so I'm already familiar with your building style.
And yet, I'm speechless.
This is pure art and nobody is gonna change my mind about it.
Thank you for posting this on YT. I'll be waiting for the tree's tutorial you talked about
Whoa, you're right. The eyes really do make it look alive. I love Moonlight Manor.
This is completely insane!
Thanks!
This is a buckwild, awesome looking thing.
EDIT: YOU MADE AN INTERIOR?!
I understand wholesale what you mean about your own work losing its shine from your perspective, but... You spent 150 hours looking at not only this thing, but all of its skin, bones and gross bits! I used to do pixel art and seeing the techniques I learned for that applied to this is absolutely buckwild. I love it, it's beautiful, it caries so much of your care and attention and as someone who has done the nickel and diming process of weighing cost-benefit of time spent vs art produced? I don't think you've wasted a cent.
The final Product doesn't even look like its been made in Minecraft, this looks like a real house that's been sculpted!!! Absolutely mind blowing work!!!
Wow. This popped up in my algorithm, never seen your channel before. I stayed for the whole video. That was geniunly impressive and amazing to watch. Your hard work and dedication was well worth it, I love the end result! Keep up your great work 💜
the eyes blew me away. never seen anything like this in mc. you are the best at animal megastructure i have ever seen
That moon phase flooring is truly magnificent. My mouth dropped at the interior. This entire build is insanely cool!
This is actually the most unique and crazy-beautiful project I've ever seen-
This is one of the craziest, most interesting builds I've ever seen! I was a bit skeptical of suggesting the lighting through block choice and texture, but the result is astonishing!
I so glad I found this channel!
you have the patience of a god. the manipulation of your knowledge about organics and structures makes me so impressed, i literally grinned at the end result because i am thoroughly amazed with your skill, imagination, determination, and ambition
absolutely adore this! it feels like such a culmination of how this channel has been progressing over the past year, and possibly the opening of a whole new door into your personal signature style! So inspiring!
Liked just because you "made" the bed by putting the sheets down first and that hade me rolling. This is wild build. Pun intended. Hope this sky rockets your viewership cause this is just incredible.
The thing about art is you will always critique yourself unnecessarily. As an artist I've felt far more negative or more critical of my works than others. And I realize that before YOU the artist cast judgement on a piece, a second pair of eyes can really help, both in helping you see what you might've overlooked, and especially to see what you've done right.
This is a beautiful build, and honestly you should be proud. It's intriguing, creative, and well put together. I can see that effort and really appreciate just how wonderfully that effort bloomed into a wonderful piece of art. Be proud of yourself. Skills like those can be hard to come by, or take a long time to piece together. Either way, congratulations on the wonderful build.
This is the most incredible thing I've ever seen built in Minecraft. I know there are much bigger and possibly prettier builds, but this has such a FEELING to it. Thank you so much for expressing yourself and sharing this inspiring build with the world ❤
THE FACT THAT IT LOOKS ALIVE. Best build ever... so artistic.
This is genuinely SUCHHH a cool project. Pushing the limits of Minecraft is so hard to do but you've really done it. I love this build!!!
That is insanely beautiful bewitching! It is one of if not top now of my favorite builds. Congrats to you for expanding on your original challenge and seeing it through. Thank you for sharing.
Those trees are sick! The timelapse of you adding the branches to the trunks looked so bizarre in the best way possible...
the way you did those trees and how good they look really blew my mind!
Oh wow
This is genuinely one of the most impressive builds I have ever seen.
This build gives me chills. It's a piece of art, excellent art at that. I love the idea of merging animals with structure. You really made the eyes pop! The build just looks alive. Also! The trees! What the hell? That's such a great method for making them and they turned out amazing! You made want to start building in minecraft again after my long long builder's block
I might’ve left mcme and abandoned minecraft 10 years ago, but I’m still watching along on the sidelines and I’m constantly impressed with how far creators like this have honed their creative skills further and further and pushed the limits of the game.
Godamn well done, it’s beautiful!👏
You are one of my biggest inspirations in minecraft building, i hope one day to be able to build this good, minecraft building has always been my number one hobby since i was atleast 8 years old, and seeing so many beautiful builds by amazing builders nowadays on Instagram and TH-cam has given me so much inspiration to up the ante. Thanks to all the builders like you, making tutorials, showing their process, or just posting their builds
MEG THIS IS AMAZING! I'm never not inspired after seeing your videos! Thank you so much
the creativity hereis phenomenal. Here i am after 14 years of playing minecraft and still doing blocky dirt houses
The build's so good I didn't realize immediately from the thumbnail that it was minecraft, I thought it was just pixel art, and the fact you went all the way with an interior and everything, like holy shit. What I want to see now is this paired with the distant horizons mod, I wanna see it placed into a giant modded terrain kind of landscape, there's some that even include big trees, and to see this face just there in the distance, man it'd be amazing.
Seeing the build rotating at the end of the video makes me think of the photorealistic resin dioramas people like Thalasso hobbyer make and post videos following the creation of - because this is absolutely stunning and definitely in their league. The only difference if that people can't physically hold it.
Everything about this build is insane. I love it. Those trees... the house... the interior... oh my god
I think I genuinely have a favorite Minecraft build now!!!! The colors of this build are just intimidating in a way that locks you in makes you wanna stare at it just in case it decides to do something out of the ordinary .
First of all, WOW! I have never seen anything like this. I am inspired, mostly by your dedication and commitment to complete this enormous project. I am reminded once again of how versatile the game of Minecraft can be. You brought art to a new level.
This is the most insane build I've ever seen
You've done an incredibly job, and it the amount of time you put in really shows
On top of that, those amazing trees can be reutilized again in the future, they look so incredibly realistic!
Job well done Meg
Nah this is literally one of the most unique, original and beautiful Minecraft builds I've seen yet!
MegRae always reminding me that there is more to learn in this game, and to never stop pushing the boundaries of the blocks. Thank you always for being an inspiration!
This build is beautiful and phenominal, I would love to see more like it! I love builds that are not only beautiful but have character, and this one has tons of it! You've inspired me to do a different concept, when I saw the thumbnail I saw the light contrast between the two halves of the face and thought about making a mansion with two halves, one with a light angelic theme and one with a dark ominous theme. Thank you for creating such dynamic art!
This is stunning, genuinely. I have to say in response to your query, or conundrum, about whether or not this build was worth it; I think that you acknowledging the fact that you learned something, and were able to recognize that, means that it was indeed worth it. I personally wouldn’t be so fixated on the time you spent since there are so many different factors that affect the rate at which we learn. I know for a fact that I’ve spent hundreds of hours on some games and barely learned anything valuable. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t call the time I spent, and the amount I learned, insignificant or wasted.
This turned out so well!
I deadass thought this was a new lowpoly-pixel art game from the thumbnail your art and building style is so beautiful
this is straight up the coolest thing ive ever seen built in minecraft. like seriously
This is the most insane build I’ve ever seen. When I saw the thumbnail I couldn’t believe it was really made in Minecraft but you proved me wrong
This has gotta be easily in the top 3 most impressive builds i've seen in my 12 years of playing this game
I'm just in complete awe. This is incredible. I can't believe this was a side project.
The build looks amazing and the forest around it just as much, but what really caught my attention was how skilled you are at texturing. Even on flatter parts of the build like the roof, the way you texture it adds so much detail. It's so impressive!
I don’t know if you know about the game Vintage Story, but it is similar ish to minecraft, costs about 18 euros, and comes with voxel chiselling, side slabs, world editing in creative, and extreme mod support as well. I would love to see what sort of things you could create in it, as it allows things like building statues the same size as the player, arches and curves at the small scale, and a roughly 1:1 accuracy at the 1.5 inch scale rather than the 1 meter scale. Vintage Story can only be bought from the website and maybe a couple other stores, but not on steam, it is still in the early access stage (though the mechanics and handling don’t feel early access) and the devs incorporate mods as well as their own work into updates. I hope you check it out, I think you could make some incredible art in it.
Listen, I have no clue who you are, but, you have the patience that I will never have! I play on Xbox, I’ve tried SO stinking hard to make a mega castle, but my short fuse just won’t let me! Point is, keep on keeping on, and you’ve got a new subscription 😁
This was a really well edited video, I think your framing and story telling has really improved.
One of the most insane minecraft builds I've ever seen, wow
This is the most impressive minecraft build I've ever seen! And the scale is unbelievable!
This build is breathtaking, It is so much more beautiful that almost every other build I've seen purely because of how unique it is and using Minecraft to create something different and beautiful rather than just another pretty megabase house like most people
looks different and not bad. enjoyed watching and listening to the whole building process
Wow this is absolutely insane! Do you have any plans to do a more thorough room by room walk-through? I feel like the ending showcase lets us see the outside (which is the main focus) really well, but the inside is stunning too!
Yes, I plan on doing a livestream where I explore it in more detail
This build is so inspiring! You can think of so many unique stories just looking at this build
The last few shots, I was imagining coming upon this place deep it a forest. So eerie. This is an amazing build. And you're process kept me hooked. ❤❤❤
this is beyond epic, MegRae. Especially the Phases at 11:46. Good job!
First of all this is incredible, I'm totally doing something like this for a base in the future. Reminds me of the urge to build I got when I saw my first minecraft castle a decade ago.
Never heard of your channel but god bless youtube recommended for this, absolutely loved the vid and the build! The wolf head looks incredible, feels like you’re really breaking new ground, and even the inside and environment? Splendid! I build in a completely different style(small very detail heavy buildings) so it’s a delight to get to see such a master work in a completely different style! Much love from Italy!
absolutely incredible job! your use of colour is gorgeous and i love how the wolf turned out!!
This is so insane I really don’t get how you don’t have so so so so many more subscribers good luck on your future builds ❤
Amazing creation!! Love it! I want this cat house in my Minecraft world!!
WoW It's gorgeous, I love how it got
that might just be the most awesome build ive ever seen
That bear is the best house I’ve seen I’d love to see more, an I’ve been playing Minecraft for 9 years
My one and only nitpick is the location of the highlight (or shine-spot) on the eyes; those being mirrored created the illusion of having "derp eyes". Other than that, this is probably the most amazing build I've seen in over a decade.
This. This is exactly the right kind of crazy.
Hey just an idea I want to spit ball into existence is maybe a Botanical Garden based off of a jellyfish or maybe an observatory cuz those two things fit together and would look pretty cool or maybe something completely different cuz honestly you've shown me I'm new hi but you're probably going to think of something cooler than anybody else I know including myself mostly myself and as an artist that is amazing To find somebody who can inspire me, thank you.
The thumbnail looks really cool. Looking forward to what i'll see in the video
That build is so cool and the fact that you built interior is crazy awesome! 👏
am so amazed at everything, the video, the building it self and ofcourse your thoughts and ideas. From a retired builder that thought the same kind of question if its really worth it to put so much time into a build? it really isn't always but sometimes it means more to you than to others and that's okay, its more than okay to express yourself.
i recomend you tat when you make the trees branches do it with axiom mod, because if you select an a build and do Ctrl+x you can go to the side that says "clipboard", in down you can see an a side that say "clipboard propieters" or something similar, and in the side you can prees to a check box that says "unlock rotation", with these option you can rotate the build that you select before to any angle or direction..
I hope this trick works for you :)
I do use rotations but it wouldn’t work for these. I wanted them all to be more unique than that
@@MegRae ok
@MegRae, but the trick is useful?
@@_Buildercraft_YT yes. I’ve been using odd rotations for years with worldedit
I never thought to try the pairing of oxidized / normal copper with other blueish redish color combos. This feels very intelligently designed.
I remember I used to watch this person's world edit tutorials in my late teens. How cool to see how far it's come
love the effect of the shading on the house. it looks awesome
Wow, this is truly amazing. I didn't know your channel but I'll definitely have a look at your other buids as well ! Great work
this whole build is gorgeous and mesmerizing to look at. to walk in. and the tree branches ranging in size reminds me of assembling our Christmas tree. this is minecraft:} i saw so many new things here,, thanks for making this video!
This build and you are so so awesome! Your passion and creativity are super inspiring
This is so unique & cool, the texturing is perfect.
i'm definitely analysing every bit of how you made this.
BROOOO! That is the coolest build I have ever Seen in mine craft history
THOSE TREES Are BEAUTIFUL, they remind me of my home Canada, I have to build them
SUCH an Amazing and beautiful build, I totally Love it!! ❤️Such details and gradients.. 😍 just the eyes is very like real wolf eyes.. and these trees!! Just Wow! With that said, I would LOVE to see other similar builds from you!
i want a mystery movie to investigate this place, that's how cool it is. there's a story behind those glowing eyes.
Wow, this build is absolutely astonishing! I'm so glad youtube recommended this video to me. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us :)
I just wanted to say, amazing build, and I love the way you explain your thought process throughout the video! Those trees! All of the trees were wonderful imo. I thought the original spruce was great, you just happened to take it to another level! 😄One of the best builds I've seen in a long time!
For some reason I am more intrigued by the terrain then the build. It looks gorgeous!
Incredible work and explanations, very inspiring!
Wow meg! the entire build is just AWESOME!
This is a Lovely build!
Well done!
