im the builder of the dungeon crawler build you saw on pinterest! very impressed at how u made an actual working dungeon crawler all in survival and i really like the wither boss fight room idea!
No, in my opinion he shouldn't do that. With so much different armour pieces you can choose and upgrade(!) the armour you're wearing. That's a big RPG-plus.
Being a fan of Hermitcraft and seeing Decked Out, I already knew that dungeon crawlers were possible in Survival Mode. But MAN, are dungeon crawlers awesome to see comw to life!!!
Just so you know- obsidian walls aren't witherproof, as blue skulls fired from wither can break them, along with wither colliding with them (I thought you would've known since you probably use an obsidian farm, for which withers breaking obby is a key mechanic)
"Can you build a working dungeon in Minecraft?" TangoTek: let me introduce myself, and my past projects. Decked Out, Decked Out 2, and Among Us in Minecraft. There were also a few iteration sof the Tangler. But that's a small project in comparision.
People have been building working dungeons in Minecraft for well over a decade. There were adventure maps with advanced redstone all the way back to beta 1.7.3 when pistons were added.
@TheBestCubeHD Hey, thank you for this world. I did a first try and died on the first "half diamond/half iron" zombies. So at the moment I did not see the whole dungeon, but I'd like to give you some feedback on the part a played so far: 1. The puzzle with the 12 buttons is way to hard. After trying and trying I put a hole into the ground and had a look at the redstone. EVEN AFTER KNOWING which buttons to press in which sequence, it was very, very hard to be fast enough. Finally, I got it, but it's definitely nothing one could find out by accident/by try and error. SIMPLE FIX: Set the repeaters on a delay. (And maybe either use less fake buttons, or give some hints one could interprete.) 2. The vines are some very nice decoration. It comes with the problem, that mobs often climb up on them and get stuck, so they're easy to kill. I had that problem at least five times in my one try, so it's not really neglectable. 3. The world size is way too big. 3.2 GB unfolded, and it's needed 2 times (the world you play and the world to backup from after dying). If you update this world, and if it's possible for you, I'd appreciate a world that contains only the needed chunks (that will need a third party software). That's my suggestions for now. A big thank you for giving us this dungeon!!
1. I disagree that the puzzle is too hard to figure out. The indent in the ground plus the chiseled stone bricks are easy to spot once you're actively looking for hints, whilst being inconspicuous enough to not be obvious when going through the first time. I agree that the timing is too hard though. 2. You're right about the vines, I had that problem too. 3. You don't really need to download the world twice, you could just delete it upon death and redownload. That being said, I agree that it should have been made smaller.
14:15 Yeah, thatś exactly why. When youʼre building a mob farm one common piece of advice is to put it in a desert because zombies are a less desirable mob. Also, they probably werenʼt moving because, to save resources, mobs donʼt move unless theyʼre close to you.
As someone who isn't really that much of a Minecraft fan but I AM a big D&D nerd who designs dungeons...this is absolutely incredible. The design layout is great, the environmental details are fantastic, the boss fight looked awesome. The entire thing just looks so professionally done. I don't think I could ever make a dungeon this well designed, and you did it in a game that isn't explicitly designed to do that. Incredible job, man. I really hope to see more dungeons with different themes. This might actually make me want to give Minecraft another shot.

BRO IT IS SO COOL BRO. SOOOO COOLLLL everything, starting from idea and ending with the boss room omg!! im waiting to download the world. Good job keep it up!!!
I'm also in the process of building a dungeon, but on a much larger and insane scale. I have a skyblock world, and it felt empty so I decided to make artificial chunks by lava casting a bunch of cobblestone in chunk sized pillars. At first, I just wanted a nice waterfall near the entrance and a huge cave but it turned into a full blown dungeon at some point. It's absolutely crazy, there are already four main bosses planned, along with at least ten themed mini dungeons hidden inside. Shops, villages, ATMs and vending machines, themed areas and sub areas, unique enemies and loot, probably even a texture and data pack, I definitely plan on releasing it when I'm finished. Also, the redstoning is insane, very hard to do with tight spaces.
Great video and well edited! I really liked how you made the dungeion and showed us your process of making it. The cracked and mossy stone was definitly worth it. 12:00 why are your Villagers in these Minecraft tracks? Are you using a certain trick to make the villagers trade not get depleted? Would really appreciate an answer.
If you would have covered the obsidian dome in yellow wool the dungeon would have looked like a giant EGG. Which I think would be fun, not on theme, but fun. Unless the treasure at the end is a chicken dinner!
Would love to see more use of the amethyst glass (blanking on the name). It prevents sunlight, so the mobs won't burn but you can still see into your masterpiece.
That was insane. I would never have the patience to build something like this in survival. More power to ya. I can only imagine what that wither fight would be like on bedrock though. I LOVE how it burst through the cage in the floor after you took your items! That was genius.
Hoooooly crap dude! I'm always amazed at the effort, thought and time you put into all of your videos, even into details as such as basing your builds on different shapes. Cool video!
It’s be cool to found generation with spawners on same level and make a infinite mob spawning, and also wearing system for automatic refill of this dungeon. But still very nice building ❤
14:00 close, zombie (husks included) spawnrates have just always been low in the desert compared to other mobs. It's why it's recommended to build your mob farms in the desert to avoid over producing rotten flesh.
this was a great video, but i wish you'd have put a bit more of collecting materials, actual building, the thinking behind it all... it feels like a creative mode building because of the lack of actual survival time. besides that, great video and absolutely gorgeous dungeon :D
Some people always say "Don't do this in survival minecraft..." What else are we supposed to do? We've been playing this game for a decade, and more in many cases. Personal self-inflicted challenge is all we have left.
Ok this has to be one of the coolest things I have litteraly ever seen someone build in Mineccraft. I LOVE IT! Good job and you just got a sub lol! And there you have it folks... the most over complicated beacon farm in minecraft!
I mean IF you know hermitcraft. This idea was very well fleshed out with Decked Out, a deck-building dungeon crawler, it had two entries, the second one being one of the best minigames I've ever seen in minecraft, just from a technical and a game perspective. So yes, it is certainly possible. It'd just be harder to do in hardcore technically.
Obsidian could be lore building for the dungeon. Maybe add some books in there alluding to the boss as well as making lore for why and how the place was made and became a ruin
If you wanted to keep it roofless but not the zombies dying, you could have put a layer of glass just above the dungeon on max height build, it count as bloc above their head and they don’t burn
OMG!! I'm blown away by your Minecraft dungeon. I can barely get 16 diamonds, and you built this entire dungeon? I'm curious how many total hours this took you to build and how many hours you have been in that world!?!. If this is for real, you are the best Minecraft player I've ever seen. Congrats!
The best way to make walls inmune to wither creepers TNT, and others... Is to build a wall made out of stairs blocks with water on its interior (Only works on 1.12 and newer versions).

When you give mobs the armor pieces, you don't need the nametags. Mobs don't despawn if they are wearing or carrying an item dropped by a player.
Dropped by a player not dispensed by a dispenser but if you mean picking it up from any source just not spawning with armour than you are correct
Unless Minecraft updated that
