    Slowmo with sequencer is cool but it does make doing the EXR export have weird timing on chaos + niagara system so I just mute that track when rendering out a clip, you can always up the FPS on the sequencer and in post do the slow motion like shooting traditionally

    • @sumours
      @sumours  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For 5.3 and above for the Geometry Collection step:
      You will also need to assign a material to the internal faces (in 5.2 and below this is done when first creating the Geometry Collection). You can do this as follows:
      -In the fracture mode, select all the pieces of your GC (Select All button)
      -Under the Utilities tab, open the Material dialog
      -Click ‘Add material slot’
      -Select your material for your new slot
      -Under ‘Assign Material’ select the index of the new slot in the dropdown (ie if your GC had only one material before, the new slot would be Index 1)
      -Click ‘Assign Materials’ ensuring that ‘Only Internal Faces’ is selected from the dropdown

    • @sumours
      @sumours  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The content of this tutorial is clearly not intended to be used in a game, but rather for cinematics / pre rendered videos (real-time 3D fluids are extremely expensive), but by being reasonable on the number of pieces in the geometry collection and using classic particles instead of fluids, it is entirely possible to use it in a game.

    • @sumours
      @sumours  14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Mmmh, it could be many differents reasons, the scale of your wall, the settings of your chaos wall, the power of your bomb...

      @@sumours apparently I turned youtube notifications off, so I didn't see your answer.. I tried around a bit more, however I couldn't get it to work as a bomb, instead I set it to projectile which resulted in a quite similar effect which works for me.
      I also tried using the MasterField with a radial and directional vector which also works, though it is a lot more even. IMO the ball (or bomb) slowly blowing the wall out looks a lot better

I kind of ignored that he said that he used unreal engine 5.01 and just went with 5.02, because i didn't want to go through having to install an older verison, but this FS_bomfield, should'nt just disapear with 5.01 should it? There must be a way to do this in the newer version of unreal... maybe not?

In the first simulation it is a physical red object and it collides with the wall and stays there (th-cam.com/video/kHOw73Fbc4g/w-d-xo.html) and then you somehow hide it so that it is only an impulse for the following simulations
