It's really hard to find good tutorials on modelling in UE5. And since I'm entirely new to the 3D world I don't have previous modelling knowledge or skill. So glad to have discovered you. Waiting for the coming tutorials!

Excellent! I still hope modeling and sculpting inside of UE5 will someday be as good as doing it in Maya, Blender, and who knows, Zbrush! I'd even pay a subscription to UE5 if they did that cuz being able to do all of that in a single place is always a great thing, no headaches when exporting stuff from 3rd party DCCs

Do you have an idea how hard it is to find someone who can actually explain unreal engine in away that you don't want to quit immediately 😂 If you ever think about making a course on learning unreal engine for whatever (creating games or what have you) I would definitely support you!
I really like this updated Modeling Tools in Unreal Engine 5.4. Is there any chance you would consider re-uploading in 2K with the Ctrl-shift-W / Application Scale set to something like 1.4?
Not yet. The modeling tool in UE is very young but with this pace I won’t be surprised to see UE surpassing other traditional modeling apps in the near future
Ive been wondering if i should learn blender even though its such a big learning curve. Do you think 5.4 can handle modeling to create environments and all that on its own without blender?
There’s a noticeable advantage in using other modeling software apps compared to uE modeling toolkit atm. This is there in case you wish to prototype levels or add simple props.
I sincerely wish we can drop our outdated DCC software since they cannot deal with millions of polygons and the export process is always painful and counter productive!

Once you are in Modeling mode, you can access Delta Mode via specific tools that support it. For example, when using the Transform tool, you will see an option to enable Delta Transform in the tool settings.
Does anyone here know how the 'Fill Hole' function work? it's under Mesh>Triangle edit. I tried selecting all the edges around the hole I wanted to fill but it doesn't work.

They need to add modifiers like 3ds max at least for things like subdivisions, Symetry, booleans, arrays etc.
This version has all the above. Wait for part 2. Will be released in a few hours

I watched it but you don't mention the modifiers. Are you sure you know what I'm talking about? Nondestructive modifiers like in Blender a d 3ds max?

This set of tools is great for prototyping your game levels. Maybe not quite there yet for Character modeling.
