Have you had the chance to try swapping the sub transmission (high - low) to one of the other atc 200 motors? (you mentioned trying this at 30 minutes in the video.)
That kind of like Crown nut that holds down the clutch basket I used a socket that was about the same size and I cut notches out of the socket to make it into a tool to easily remove it work perfect
I have a problem in the gears of my three wheeler. I do not know where to ask so I ask you: when I try to shift, I hear that it moves but nothing happens (it remains engaged on the reverse I believe, since it does not advance but reverses without problems ). it has been stored for 20 years but it was working before it was stored i don't know what to do can you help me?
Just about impossible for me to help with via the internet. Obviously the clutch assembly and shift assembly must go back together exactly as it came apart or it won't work. It's nice to have a spare motor to fall back on if you aren't sure you got the parts on correctly. Good luck!
Thanks for posting. I am working on an 84 200s as well. I replaced the clutch (all new parts). I shift into gear, it wont lick into gear (even when he unit is off). Transmission ot problems with the clutch?
It's been a while. The shifter was bent, so it had been hit hard. I think the triangle part was bent or jammed up. I just took it apart and straightened things out. I had several other engines at the time, so I changed out everything suspect. Good luck.
@@9076723311 ah ok! The last spring on the shift shaft with the “arms”, they didn’t have to be spread apart & go on each side of the pin? I just watched again where you pulled the shift shaft from the parts motor, & they weren’t wrapped around the pin.
@@9076723311 figured out my issue! So the spring with the arms was on the pin on the case. So good there. But previous person used two o-rings for the adjustment bolt. One of which got caught in the threads. So you couldn’t feel the proper adjustment! Always something stupid. Lol

I had to split the case on my honda atc200s to replace the crankshaft but my clutch basket will not go back together I don't know why

Make sure you get the shifting fork lined up in that fork right as you put the clutch cover on ...if not ... Wont move shifter rod
So which part exactly did you think was the issue?
