  • In this reaction we continue the Project Zamzam series of part 2 of chapter 2 of the Quran titled: Surah 02: Al-Baqarah (The Cow) Part 2: The second chapter of the Quran, is a profound narrative that emphasizes themes of creation, knowledge, and divine guidance. According to the Quran, Allah creates Adam as the first human and bestows upon him the role of a vicegerent on Earth. Allah teaches Adam the names of all things, showcasing the importance of knowledge and human potential. This act of teaching sets Adam apart from the angels, who are instructed to bow to him in recognition of his unique status. However, Iblis (Satan) refuses to bow, demonstrating his arrogance and disobedience. The story also recounts Adam and his wife being placed in the Garden and their subsequent disobedience by eating from the forbidden tree, influenced by Iblis. This leads to their expulsion from the Garden and descent to Earth, where they are granted mercy and guidance from Allah. This narrative underscores the concepts of human fallibility, repentance, and the continuous opportunity for redemption through divine mercy and guidance.

To address your question about the verse 2:62, its referring to the people who were from the previous prophets and the people who never heard of prophet Muhammad neither his message until today. Those who believed in Allah without associating any partners with him, so it would include true monotheistic Christians like Unitarians, monotheistic Jews and monotheistic Sabians.

Do not forget that God knows the unseen and knows the future, for He is the All-Knowing. He said in the meaning that it is the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them. They will not believe. God knows that they did not believe, whether he recited verses to them or whether you recited them. He put a seal on a heart that comes from themselves. And from their arrogance towards God, their heedlessness, and their disobedience, their hearts will harden and a veil will become between them and God. God is responsible for their actions and their lack of honesty. How many drinkers and adulterers live in America, Italy...and France, and how many Christian priests, monks, Jews, and atheist billionaires whom God guided to Islam, and they are Muslims, praise be to God, in the West, and they live in the midst of a society in which taboos and immoralities prevail despite This is what God guided them because they are honest and seek the truth, but they are arrogant and hypocritical, their hearts are hardened by their sin and by themselves and not by God.

That verse you mentioned about the Christians and the Jews are the ones who believe in One God without partners. So the original message of Christianity and Judaism is the same message. However, over time, people have corrupted the message. The true teaching of Christianityy and Judaism would also believe that Muhammad may peace be upon him is one of the prophet and messages of Allah.

My Answer for your confusion of Surah 2 Ayah 6:
It is said in the begining of the Surah: " A guidance for those consciouss of mindful about Allah.."
In other words the believers are only believers out of guidance from Allah; who guided them, increases their beliefs, and Conscioussness due to their own FREE WILL AND EFFORT to use their energies as such ..
As for those he sealed their hearts, hearings and vision and he but a veil on them... It was so as they deserved; by their Own FREE WILL to remain Astray

Second verse you mentioned is only talking about "Defiantly Disobedient people to The God/ Allah", when Allah had to say they will not believe it means everything or every method has been tested on them but they are defiantly disobedient, over their defiantly disobedience to The God/ Allah, Allah has set a seal on their hearts now but it is by their own Actions.

Regarding sealing the hearts of the unbelievablers .. chapter 83 verse 14 explains it. It is due to theit continuous of wrong doing ..little by little their hearts have been stained and sealed. Pheron had his multiple chances and warnings but he rejected all of that.. They did them selves the injustice. They choose knowingly to reject as explained in chapter 27 verse 14.

God doesn't seal the good people, only the people who don't want to believe and they will never believe because God all knowing, and are not in position to ask God why you created them because we don't everything, God just gave free will for everyone and its up to them to choose evil or goodness, although God knows who will choose to be evil forever but he created them, God all wise you can't ask why, if you really think logically you may find some answers why, for example for me it seems so i get scared from hell so its high chance i choose goodness than to be evil.

As for the verse that speaks of Jews and Christians, they are the ones who believed in the true Torah of Moses and the Gospel of Jesus and followed the Ten Commandment and the monotheism of God, but now there are no original Torah and Gospel, and even if they exist, they are not valid for those who have heard about Islam and the Prophet Muhammad, so you must follow the book of the latter, which is the Qur’an, because if you lie only one Of the messengers and prophets, you have departed from Islam and from the path of God, so you must trust in them all, Moses, Jesus, Abraham......Muhammad.

God says in Surah Al Imran, verse 19 (Indeed, the religion in the sight of God is Islam...to the end of the verse). Islam is the final religion on earth and it is the conclusion of the message and the last update of the messages. God does not accept anything but Islam. As for other religions, they are false and have been distorted.

Thank you for sharing our video! For your question about verse 2:7, it doesn’t mean that Allah has already predetermined their fate as disbelievers. They always have free will to become believers. However, the word used in Arabic is khatama (seal), which is something that comes at the end. Like sealing an envelope before mailing it. Whatever you decide to place inside the envelope is done when the sealing occurs. Meaning an arrogant disbeliever who persists in his or her disbelief and refuses to have an open mind or an open heart to the possibility of becoming a believer, those are the ones whose hearts will be sealed.
    And only Allah knows best.

    9:50 anwser is very simple
    There is difference between
    Disbeliever
    And
    Non believer .
Non beliver : is who dont know anything about islam or never study or dont know if islam is true or not
    &
Disbeliever : is person Who know islam is true religion but still Dont believe in it (Due to culture, Society, family pressure or out of hate and arrogance towards islam)
This type of people {disbeliever}will get punished if they dont repent before their death.

The commentators have said in interpreting the aforementioned verse: Those who believed in Muhammad - may God bless him and grant him peace - and those who were Jews are those who believed in Moses - peace be upon him - and died in that state before the mission of Jesus - peace be upon him - or they realized him and believed in him, and the Christians are those who believed. Jesus, peace be upon him, and they died in that state before they met Muhammad - may God bless him and grant him peace - or they realized him and believed in him. It was said that the Sabians are a people of the followers of the previous prophets.
These are all of them who believed in God and the Last Day, and believed the Prophet to whom he was sent, and died in that state. He has a reward from his Lord.

8:54 Yes, but the issue is more complex than you think. The interpretation of this verse does not apply to many Christians in our time. One of the conditions of the verse is that he must believe in the one true God and not three in one. However, we believe that whoever has not heard about Islam or has not received the message If he died, he would have a different test from God, and God knows best

Yeah, it would have been good news for those people.
But that verse also says "who believe in Allah", doesnt it?
If they are truly believing in The One True Creator. They would have accepted the last revelation when it has been informed to them clearly. Which is islam.
Truly those anti islam among those people, they only believe in their own ego.
Not to mention, nowadays many christians worship and pray to Jesus, not to The One has sent Jesus.
But surely, there are many christians (even the ones call themselves protestant or catholic) who dont believe that Jesus to be god.
In the end, only Allah decides of the ones who go to paradise.
Its so sad to notice that there are still somebody who believes the nowadays wars are about religious war. When its pretty clear that politicians are simple using the name or religion.
But i guess, it simply means that their propaganda brainwashing program works very well.
I rather feel pity for their victims who fall for their brainwashing propaganda program tho.
And the next verse, their heart got sealed only because they already disbelieve in it.
Like, no matter how much clear information/evidence that supports the belief, they are just gonna reject it.
The question tho, why do people disbelieve in the first place?
Their disbelief is not because of evidence in the first place, but because, they hate it.
For example, alcohol is haraam. Most alcohol business owners would hate it. Thats how they disbelieve islam in the first place.
But hey, probably this verse talks about you guys. This is why you guys still dont accept it after so many videos. Who knows. Well, The Creator knows.
Do you guys really dont like religion?

Your question about the seal and the veil on the believers, from what I understands, it happens because of their persistence in turning away from any signs toward God and his widome. In different passage throughout the quran it explains that happens becuse they are sinning day and night without repentance or self accountability (like what you mentioned as an example feeling guilt).
And that knowledge only Allah knows because he knows the past and future.
You brought good point about free will and yeah it is correctly related. So when Allah knows everything all the minute circumstances and "info" related to a person wouldn't he be able to know whether a person will believe or not eventhough that lerson made his choice with his free will.
So Allah judgment of his creation based on his perfect about them knowledge.
I wished that you did the full surah. Anyhow, it was an interesting reaction.

09:50 The reason why the hearts and ears of unbelievers are sealed is because they insist on their denial. In other words, denial is the "cause" and sealing is the "result".
As for those who persist in disbelief, it is the same whether you warn them or not-they will never believe.
Allah has sealed their hearts and their hearing, and their sight is covered. They will suffer a tremendous punishment.

Guidance is given to whoever Allah wills to be guided only with Allah's permission, because Allah says so in the quran,
"And it is not for a soul to believe except by permission of Allah" (10:100)
"And Allah guides whom He wills" (2:213)
    Allah also mentions that,
"As for those who strive in Us, We surely guide them to Our paths, and lo! Allah is with the good" (29:69)
Therefore if you are good, sincerely seeking for the truth, ask Allah for guidance, and striving for the path of Allah, then Allah will surely guide you. So you must make an effort in order to deserve heaven in the end In Sha Allah.
But those who purposely turn away from Allah's path will not be guided, because Allah says,
"So when they turned away (from the Path of Allah) Allah turned their hearts away (from the Right Path) and Allah guides not the people who are fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah)" (61:5)

Matthew 6:1-4 - Giving to the Needy:
"Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret
Quran Surah Al-Baqarah (2:271): "If you disclose your charitable expenditures, they are good; but if you conceal them and give them to the poor, it is better for you, and He will remove from you some of your misdeeds [thereby]. And Allah, with what you do, is [fully] Acquainted."

Chapter 2 verse 62 talks about the people who believes and those from the Jews and Christians and Sabeans will have their reward if they 'believe in Allah' and the Last Day and did righteousness.
So what is the criteria of someone who disbeliefs in Allah?
This is answered in Chapter 4 verse 150-151.
Where if you disbelief in even 1 of Allah's Messengers i.e. rejecting Prophet Muhammad PBUH, then it is the equivalent as you rejecting Allah since all they are doing is sending God's message to you and you chose to reject that message.
Therefore, they are disqualified in being Believers.
As a result, when they are talking about the Christians and Jews, it is usually representative of those who were abiding by the Prophets of that time.
So if it was the time of Prophet Solomon PBUH, then they should all be followers of Prophet Solomon PBUH.
The moment the next prophet comes and they reject that new message, then they are a disbeliever.
So any Jews who reject Prophet Jesus PBUH as a Prophet and do not follow his teachings at that time is a Disbeliever.
And any Jews and Christians who reject Prophet Muhammad PBUH and the message that he brings from God and do not convert to Islam (as per his teachings) from that time until now is considered as a Disbeliever too.
Thus, the Jews and Christians from the time of Prophet Muhammad PBUH until now who doesn't become a Muslim do not fit into the category of Chapter 2 Verse 62.
I hope I am not wrong on this. Inshaallah. Do correct me if I'm wrong. But this should be the case.

    Bible and quran on fasting
    Matthew 6:16-18 - Fasting:
"When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."
Quran Surah Al-Baqarah (2:183): "O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous

19:17 Okay, The infidel who knew the truth and then disbelieved in it. So whoever did not know the truth and did not receive the message, how can he disbelieve in what he did not know? Thus, what is meant here is the one who follows Iblis (Satan, the enemy of man, as the verses make clear) in his arrogance over the truth and his refusal to obey God Almighty for racist reasons, or In contempt for the will of God because he chose a person for his message who was not of his people, race, or color. This is the one whose heart, hearing, and sight God seals, because he knew the truth, but he followed Iblis (the satan) in his arrogance, even though Iblis knew that God is the Creator, but he disobeyed His command to prostrate to Adam and was arrogant because he saw himself superior than Adam, for in Satan's view, Adam was not from his refined element (fire), but rather Of the inferior element (clay), in other words (not a blue blood), although there are among the jinn (the Satan's kind) who are Muslims and are not arrogant. Just as Satan disbelieved despite his knowledge, God sealed his hearing and sight because of his arrogance. As for understanding that everyone who did not know is an unbeliever, there are many who did not know, when they knew, they submit to the will of God (become Muslims), and were not arrogant, and the first of them were the companions of the prophets (from the first to the last PBUT all), and those who believed in them, and those who followed them until the day of judgement, and the first verse that stopped you explained the believers in the prophets in their time according to God's message (pure monotheism) that they all came with; Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one." & John 17:3 "This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and the One You have sent-Jesus Christ." Mark 12:29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is on". Not those who diminish the value of God by making Him wrestling with His creation, or claiming that he get tired, or forget (Glory be to Him, Most High, above what they describe) or make Him a triple God like the Greek pagans. Those are not a believers in the One and Only God, the Eternal, and these are the believers (those who believed and obeyed Moses and Jesus and finally believed and obeyed Muhammad, peace be upon him). It is very simple. Indeed, God is one, then the message should be the same, unchanged. Malachi 3:6 “I am the Lord and I change not.”

If they believe in Allah, which means the Qur'an and His final messenger Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and do righteous deeds, and believe in the Last Day, they will attain paradise. Many have already done so, and many more will do so in the future, securing the promise of Allah.

    The Sabi'un or Sabians
There is a difference of opinion over the identity of the Sabians. Sufyan Ath-Thawri said that Layth bin Abu Sulaym said that Mujahid said that, "The Sabians are between the Majus, the Jews and the Christians. They do not have a specific religion." Similar is reported from Ibn Abi Najih. Similar statements were attributed to `Ata' and Sa`id bin Jubayr. They (others) say that the Sabians are a sect among the People of the Book who used to read the Zabur (Psalms), others say that they are a people who worshipped the angels or the stars. It appears that the closest opinion to the truth, and Allah knows best, is Mujahid's statement and those who agree with him like Wahb bin Munabbih, that the Sabians are neither Jews nor Christians nor Majus nor polytheists. Rather, they did not have a specific religion that they followed and enforced, because they remained living according to their Fitrah (instinctual nature). This is why the idolators used to call whoever embraced Islam a `Sabi', meaning, that he abandoned all religions that existed on the earth. Some scholars stated that the Sabians are those who never received a message by any Prophet. And Allah knows best.

The Christians and the Jews in the verse you quote refers to the true followers of Jesus and Moses respectively, before Muhammad, so they were believed to be Muslims, bcz it’s goes like « those who believe in Allah among them »
Many verse say « those who believe among the People of the book » or « those who disbelieve among the People of the book » (People of the book = Christians and Jews), then that shows us that some of the early believed in Allah

Whoever followed Moses in his time is in Paradise until the coming of Jesus. Whoever follows Moses and Jesus when Jesus came, is in Paradise. Whoever follows Jesus until the coming of Muhammad is in Paradise. And Whoever believes in Muhammad from the people of the book and the rest of the messengers is in heaven and rejects any of them in hell

This is my quick reply to your question and you should really seek a scholar for this but
The second verse you present at first glance does somehow show that the unbelievers have no free will. But in reality, it's one part of two. One being Allah's decree and two being our free will. Free will has been a philosophical and religious debate throughout history. Islam proposesq both opposites of Divine will and free will to be true.
The Quran talks multiple times about how Allah hardens people's hearts, covers their sights, places a barrier, etc.
In truth, it's because of their actions. It's understood in Islam that when people sin, their hearts gets darkened and hardened. In turn, they become a worse version of themselves.
Then when they decide to "purify their hearts", by e.g. asking for forgiveness, they become a better version of themselves.
So people decide to do good or bad, and Allah hardens or softens their heart. This concept shows that our hearts are completely in Allah's hands. It would be pretty easy if everytime we slipped up and sinned, we would still be the same version of ourselves.
When Allah talks about the unbelievers, they are people who completely denied the truth even when they acknowledged in their hearts that it is true. This is why Allah has "sealed their hearts and veiled their eyes". They can feel it, they can see it, yet they deny it. So what's the point in having a heart and having eyes? As punishment, Allah leaves them to wander in their denial.
He's ultimately in control of everything, so what should He do when a servant of his knows the truth but hides it? Guide him still? Or let him taste the consequences of his decisions. I think the latter is more befitting. And the "consequences" here would be them wandering in their blindness, heedlessness and arrogance, because this is what they chose for. Should Allah help them or force them to be guided after they chose to deny it?
That's just my take on it though

9:50 Allah put a veil over them because they wish it upon themselves. Allah is talking about kafirs (unbelievers/ingrate) people who reject the message knowing its the truth. If you look at the etymology of kafir, its means someone who buries a seed or putting mud over a seed. Hence in the context of Quran/Islam it means the person who buries the truth. And Allah has sealed their ears and heart because the chose to hide it.

For the second question. Is not that difficult to understand. It’s the same as asking why god made evil to exist. Everything in this world, the good and bad was created by god. The seal itself that disbelievers have is the creation of god. How can you say why did god put a seal in my heart when you have the free will to repent and ask for forgiveness. The arrogance of asking god why did you make me a disbeliever is the same as Satan never going to heaven with the same mindset. Whether you choose to live as a disbeliever or a believer is your choice but even then god knows the outcome of your fate either way you choose. Instead of wasting time reflecting on our limited brains and truly understanding god plan. Why don’t humans focus on what the purpose of life is rather than focusing on the something that holds no benefit to your life.

As far as the hearts being sealed it’s talking about god knowing the person future and knowing that no matter what you tell them logically or spiritually they won’t accept Islam. So their hearts are sealed. It’s not that Allah took on himself to seal their hearts

The closing of the door of guidance is not in question for every person who commits sins, oppresses others or worships other than God .The verse mentioned was about the "polytheists" who formed a group fighting the Messenger & the message and trying to prevent anyone from accepting Islam. Tens of thousands of people that had worshipped idols before embraced Islam in the Era of Happiness? Those whose hearts are sealed are the ones that are impossible to turn to oneness. And they fall in that pit by using their own wills.

    6. As for those who have rejected (these truths),1 it is all the same whether or not you warn them, for they will not believe.
    7. Allah has sealed their hearts1 and their hearing, and a covering has fallen over their eyes. They deserve severe chastisement.
    Surah Al-Baqarah (6-7)
This does not mean that their rejection of the Truth is a consequence of God sealing their hearts. What is meant is that God sealed their hearts and ears as a consequence of their decision to reject the fundamentals of faith, of their deliberate choice of a path divergent from that charted out by the Qur'an. Anyone who has worked for the dissemination of the Truth often finds that if, after full consideration, a person decides against a doctrine, his mind begins to move in a completely opposite direction so that he fails to appreciate anything that is explained to him. His ears become deaf, his eyes are blinded to the merits of that doctrine, and one gets the distinct impression that the person's heart has indeed been sealed.

The part that speaks about the Christians the jews and the Sabians is talking about the original belief as it was during the life of Jesus, Moses, ...etc (not in todays form which has been corrupted through translation and its original teachings changed) and ...etc. In the original teachings All religions taught that the Allmighty creator is one and he has no partners nor a son nor a wife, neither parents. And that non of his creation is comparable to him in power and form. He cannot be limited in into any space or form. He is all knowing and he created all the knowledge and sciences that humans continue to discover and learn, and other types of knowledge that humans still have not discovered. He God(Allah) has no beginning or end. He is the everlasting the allways existing. To conclude what this verse is saying is that those who are Christians, jews and ...etc who do not associate partners with Allah in his godship and die in that state shall not fear they will go to heaven and those who do the opposite will enter hell.

This is the disbeliever with us, and God knows that he will not believe because God knows the unseen. So do not say that this is not fair. Understand with us the verse first... As for the Jewish verses. Christians will enter Paradise because there are Jews and Christians who worship God and do not explain anything to Him and do good deeds. They are also believers. Anyone who believes in God and His messengers and does righteous deeds is a believer and will enter Paradise, Jew, Christian or Muslim.
