- Did we just build the world's largest wooden shark fin for mountain biking? In this video, you’ll get to see the process from start to (almost) finish of the most sprawling, complex, and intimidating mountain bike trail feature I’ve ever seen, let alone helped build-and I do not say that lightly!

Just how complex and daunting is this feature? Well, it’s about 20 feet in height and 55 feet in length, which is about the standard size of a house.

I'm very fortunate to have a playground of woods to build whatever I see fit in because Missouri riders don’t get much feature time. I’d love to change that! This is absolutely insane. Do you build these features professionally or is it just a hobby? This is the most impressive one I've seen on youtube.
I actually just started an LLC this year specifically for the building side of things. I've worked for companies before but Im a full business now!

@@BackyardTrailBuilds that's sick. I just commented you should own a business. In the Northeast US with global warming, winters are shorter and summers longer. Many towns and ski resorts are budgeting money for the next 20 years to be used on MTB infrastructure. Literally every single ski resort is either implementing it, or looking to sell to someone who can. Killington recently spent $53 mil on mountain bike trails over the last 3 years, so great time to get in the business.
Those 20 ft logs must of been crazy hard to stand up, I made a bridge w 16 ft logs and that was a real pain

This guy went from building dirt frogs as a bike jump to feature I WANNA RIDE SO BAD
When I worked landscaping, we would throw a layer of sand between each layer of rock to fit them together. The boss, who has been doing this for 30+ years, was a magician with the excavator, picking and fitting rocks together so they were all lined up and level.
