Loving the bushcraft style builds, i too love MTB and bushcraft woodworking! For those who dont understand how strong a dowel jammed into wood is, shame. But if you DID need some more strength, you can always saw a slit in the top of the dowel and then pound in a wedge, just like axe handles!
Yet again, another mind blowing build! The work you must have put into this is amazing! Both the build, and the video/story just keep getting better! Awesome work, man! 🤘🏼
The amount of work that you put into this!!!!!! Also you gotta HUGE property!! Much appreciated you made my day better by uploading! We will get you to 500k!
Just wanted to say congrats on 150k man bit late but ive been here since sub 25k and its amazing to have seen this channel grow. Well deserved, cheers to many more keep up great content.
When the wood dries (seasons), or during winter, during freeze and thaw, is when the deck boards will pop off. In really cold winters, for a few days, I always have deck boards pop loose from the boards loosening their grip around the nails due to the expanding and contracting. So expect that.
I think the half-on-half would be best because you'd really feel and hear it if you cased the landing. Plus, it's easily movable, should you want to in the future!
The woodworking has so much craftsmanship involved and I love the caveman aspect of this trail. Not to get ahead or anything but I want to see a KittyCAT trail next 4:27 😂 can’t wait for the next feature
I'm guessing that the dowel joints are only going to get stronger with time since the boards and the trees you used were all green wood: as they dry, they're going to shrink and squeeze those dowels even more! Amazing job!
No one realizes how much dedication there is into this series PLUS THE AMOUNT OF EDITING😳😳😳keep these going and hella respect🙏🏼
Thank you, man! I think some people, like yourself, have a bit of a grasp on it!
@@BackyardTrailBuilds bro of course, love seeing the process
I do, I built a tree house once and that took what felt like forever lol
I know! This the first vid I watched but I think that all the time on Berm Peak
a yes.. the primal skid steer :'D
Absolutely! I let my primal skid steer graze our open pastures for a regenerative grazing experience, just like they use to hundreds of years agooooo.
Grassfed and free range
ah yes... the primal concrete
I love the woodworking you do. Awesome!
build it out of dirt
Him: “building jump with no power tools”
Also him: “brings out the skid steer”😂😂
Aye i pulled an eyebrow when he rocked up in that..
technically it’s not a ‘tool’
But he donates 200$ every time he uses it. And he was honest about it, he could have filmed a few scoops with a shovel and "Fake" it.
@@Endurophin its such a MASSIVE jump
I thought the same thing
Please do a seperate video on the wood joinery. It's what makes this series special imo.
You’ve inspired me to build backyard trails and to make TH-cam vids about it.
Do it I've built my own on 6 acres, it's a must more power to you 💪
I’m currently working on hopefully 2 miles on my 27 very hilly acres
Works out a couple times, looks in the mirror, “I look kinda shredded time to make a thumbnail flexing” lmao respect
Building that caveman/lumberjack strength from all the primal woodwork.
I can Already tell it’s going to be very relaxing .

Seth is a magician when it comes to woodworking!
It looked SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... satisfying on the rainy day!
I love how you choose not to use power tools and how much time probably goes into this this will be fire🔥🔥🔥🔥
Skid steer isn’t a power tool?
@@gggghh8243 i thaught that aswell
@@gggghh8243 you try moving that much dirt and still get the video put in time
@@cartermacrenaris705 I never said the skid steer was a tool
Your craftsmanship is amazing. So satisfying.
I love how your doing this I really want to come and ride this to see how it feels compaired to a normal public trail
Ive never seen someone so dedicated. this is inspiring man. youre a legend
Great call on removing dirt from the base of the tree mate! I learn something new now.
Nicely done. Love that tool for splitting the logs into boards.
Watching you for the past few days has taught me so much about biking and building
Loving the bushcraft style builds, i too love MTB and bushcraft woodworking!

These videos are so relaxing and entertaining to watch. Good job as always!
The dry dowels absorb the moisture in the greenwood causing them to swell and making a strong fastener!
I’ll always vote for features made of wood for the primal trail. The no power tool aspect makes for a great vid.
Dude this is awesome! I don’t know your plans but some rock armoring on the sides of dirt jump would look amazing
So satisfying to watch it all come together! Keep up the awesome work!
The skill displayed here with those mortise and tenons on the curved log is immense. This isn’t easy folks
Wow. That looks awesome. Great job. Option 2 half and half. Your skills always impress me.
really love the purple inner color of that wood
Me watching him stand barefooted on the split wooden planks at the end: 😬😳
Also in the mud when he was shaping the dirt
@@-Xilef- At least you don't get splinters from mud.

Never saw this channel, never knew about you, but your choice of music at 4:42 made me subscribe instantly. That beat schallert as we say in Germany.
great to come home from work to your video, cheers mate.
Do a dirt landing with a wood frame around it to hold the dirt in
Bro, you're incredible. You should make a build a house series in the woods.
It looks great, Seth!
Whoever likes backyard trail builds like this
Someones been watching Matt Jones backyard jumps series.....The trowl technique sure does look mint though!!
Great Video Seth! Can we expect some homemade music to go along with this homemade trail? I really liked it when you used your original music.
im starting to think you like making things more than mountain biking lol!
You’re correct!

Best video I will see today. Great work.
beatiful wood working job!!!!
You should dress the skid steer up like a mammoth. That'll keep it primal.
HELLZ YEAH! I want to see a vid on the various joineries you are using!
Love watching your wood work, some of it must take a lot of patience.
