Hey Jesse! Do you think that all these rules still apply now that it is X?
Side note, what do you think of the new "Spaces" feature? Do you think it is something musicians should consider using?
btw Awesome content! I am trying to implement your advice the best I can with my next single.

Thanks....one of the things I struggle with on Twitter is getting political. It seems a lot of conversation from the musicians I like is fairly lefty. I'm generally sympathetic to the lefty side, because I agree with the moral/ethical imperatives on which they are based. But I'm kind of centrist when it comes to practical matters of how to actually implement things. So I feel like I want to participate in a discussion about "the way things should be"....but my true opinion is not welcome in the echo chamber. So, any thoughts about how to square this conflict? Do the lefties really want to be nudged back to the centre? If I experiment will I be attacked and blackballed?

Well I joke that I’m to the left of Marx in most things so I am one of those people. But with that said I still feel like I have to choose my battles and ask myself if my voice is really the smartest take or if I should be listening. What I think is often best for artists is lend your voice to support when someone who needs help is requesting it but I do feel that while I think artists benefit from being political, we are in a phase of social justice where correcting “the mob” isn’t welcome. I am optimistic that won’t always be the case.

Left-leaning-but-mostly-centrist libertarian here, and I wonder if the time has - or will- come when this itself is something that could be criticized. It depends on your music and target audience. But if the internet has taught us anything, isn't it that everything finds it's niche and audience in a world of 7 billion humans?
