Thank u man I gotta fix my cable tomorrow when it comes in the mail, dang thing snapped on me leaving work had to pull the broke cable with vice grips 8 miles to get it home lol
I'm a little disappointed because the title mentions installing throttle cable...why don't you show people how to thread the cable through the Plastics?
The ONLY factory piece of plastic on my scoot is the bucket. I panned all the rest of the body with an old aluminum toolbox. The frame & engines last , the expensive, junk pastic bodys dont. I had a 10+ year frame Totaled by a car. It had 64K+ miles on the odometer. The motor wasn't original but the frame & wheels were. Even after the crash it stayed running. The whole front end was collapsed tho. Fun durable rides, but ALWAYS wear protection & be ready to jump or bail off of them. I still keep 2 as daily drivers
Having a issue with a noes 50cc it’s a brand new throttle cable I fitted but it won’t pull open and it won’t close either it won’t do anything I will pull it off again and have a look but anything I’m missing my cable goes into the carb top?
If a new cables stuck, the outter sheath is usually bent too much. When installing a slide cable, the less ripples & curves= the better. You want to make sure the inside cable flows easily in both directions before connecting the cable ends.
Good video, on my 50cc why do you think my throttle has so much play? it actually can spin about 3in forward, then rolls back to neutral, then twist it down to engage it on the carb, I tried adjusting it from the carb and the handle, nothing, when you twist it forward you can look at the carb and see a small looseness, when it goes back to neutral it straightens out, any ideas? TY!
It could be partially off on the throttle up on the handle bar. Take it apart and check it. If it has ever been replaced, could be too long. Let me know what you find out.
I think I got the throttle handle grip on right but it won't spring back when I give it gas and my carburetor is a high pro carb what am I doing wrong I had to walk away from the scooter because I was going to beat the hell out of it
@@stewheff1290 something is too tight or not adjusted right. Make sure you don't have a cable kinked somewhere. Unhook the cable and make sure it is free and not binding up on anything.
@@shabear1000 I should have just bought a new one but the dude sold me the used one for $8 and a new ones $28 that I save money and I'm on a tight budget so and I need my scooter for work does child support take my license 28 years ago and well I got a ride a scooter now

Awesome man. Ya know, for as cheap as these things are, they are very tough and reliable. Not to mention cheap and easy to repair and modify.
That's what mine is doing so i just bought a cable but I bought a used cable you the ive got it on wrong or you think the cable is bad
Make sure it's the same length as the original and make sure it's moving freely.
I know this is old but what makes the throttle snap back on these? I just took my carb apart to clean and now my throttle doesn't snap back
The spring on the slide in the carb
So I got two mopeds one of them throttle keeps turning so can I just take the other throttle off that one ?
Should be able to.
thank you
