Budget aside, Ive always wondered, how does anyone chose between these amazing homes? Now I know. This has to be my all time favourite. It's outstanding. Love how you present your tours, no corny sale pitch, you look at it from the point of the buyer, not the seller.
Chance you're so corny but in such a good and funny way. You really crack me up during these tours, lol. This one is gorgeous, but Deer Valley never disappoints. I would love to see some Deer Valley single wides if available. 💜

I love so many things about this home... but the gorgeous island right smack in the middle of the work triangle would drive me crazy! My brother-in-laws modular has this kitchen layout and there is always somebody in the way, people want to sit on one side and stand leaning against the island from the other... let alone going from stove top to sink with a pot of boiling potatoes. The rest of the house is good! That covered deck...love it!!
Not sure why the islands in all forms caught on, a ton of them just hinder movement. I read a theory where they took the place of the old style kitchen breakfast nook, which is a shame. I love the look of the island, but in practice it would make me cuss and I would bump into it on the daily. That and the barn door things, not a fan. High quality pocket doors and vintage style kitchen nooks, now that has my interest.

This is a magnificent home. I love everything about it, but...there is no way I could afford it.
I absolutely love everything about this house. That being said, I can't imagine paying that price! At the end of the day, it is still not considered a permanent house on a foundation built on location.
Dang, if you think about it, by the time the final paperwork is finished, you'll be over a quarter million dollars! And that doesn't include contents! Imagine the house you could have built for that kind of $$$$$.
Not right now.... the housing mkt is stoopid- but give it a couple of years it will settle. You an also put these on a slab- if you desire.

There is a HUGE difference between manufactured and modular homes. Unlike manufactured homes, modulars are not built on a rigid frame. They are instead constructed in sections in a climate controlled facility, which means that none of the materials are subjected to rain, snow or other inclement weather events. (The same cannot be said for stick built homes.) Once conpleted, modular sections are hoisted by giant cranes onto temporary transport frames for the drive to the final homesite. Once there, a crane then picks them up and then sets them down onto a previously constructed crawl space or full basement. (Yes, despite popular belief, full basements aren't just meant for stick homes.) The temporary transport frame is then removed, and the home is then permanently attached to the crawl space or full basement. Once in place, a modular cannot be moved. They are just as permanent as a stick home.
Further, because manufactured homes are capable of being moved again and again, they are legally classified as "Personal property". This means they do not qualify for mortgage loans and must be titled the same as a vehicle, motorcycle, trailer, etc. This makes it much more difficult to finance a manufactured home.
A modular hone is classified as "real property" because it cannot be moved after it has been attached to a foundation. The same mortgage lenders that are available for stick built homes also finance modulars.
The bottom line is that it would be extremely difficult in today's economy to build a stick built home for the same cost, with the same quality of features and materials as those in this home. While it may sound plausible, truth and reality proves otherwise. That is precisely why more buyers are considering modulars now.
P.S. Those who swear that they'll never live in a modular shouldn't ever stay in one of the new mega hotels, or fly on a mega jet, or vacation on a mega cruise ship -- all are now constructed by utilizing modular technology.

I absolutely really love the layout of this place and the exterior of it. It really looks like it has that log cabin vibe to it. My favorite parts are the side porch, the tub in the master bathroom, and the master bedroom closet. I also love the shelves in the laundry room area. AMEN!!! Sadly there are those individuals who refuse to believe reality, and therefore continue to spread grossly false information regarding modular homes. As I mentioned earlier, those same people shouldn't stay at a mega hotel, or fly in a modern mega airliner, or sail in a mega cruiseship. All are manufactured and constructed by utilizing the same modular techniques as these homes.
Kinda makes their ridiculous and childish arguments sound really uneducated! LOL
Love the porch, kitchen and fireplace and the large closets
The sink is too far from the stove . I can't see having to walk back and forth the whole time I'm cooking. It's just not practical at all. And it doesn't even have a pot filler. Love the porch, and dining room. The utility room is very nice.This one has some positives and some negatives for me. The open closet beside the toilet ,with moisture and odors is a real big fail ! Hard to believe its a deer Valley. Thanks chance.

Hi Chance: This is truly a unique and beautiful home. Extra points on the freezer space in the utility room. That back porch is like an outdoor family room! Tub in the master bathroom is a big plus. The flooring is fantastic also. The price point is reasonable for the upgraded features in the home. Great detailed tour!

The full glass front doors look great, but are a cost, security, energy and maintenance nightmare. I'd trim a couple feet of the primary/bath/closet so the other 2 bedrooms could be 12x15.
I prefer the crystal decorative window doors

This is one of my absolute favorites! We got a "chance" and walked through a Shilo and hands down this was the one we loved the most. The kitchen is phenomenal with the amount of cabinets and counter space you have. And love the color scheme in this one. Love the different color of cabinets.

Lots to love: big closets in bedrooms, storage in master bath was nice.
Would change: washer dryer next to each other.
I would want a big pantry so i can use all the kitchen cabinets for my gobs of dishes and gadgets. Make about half the kitchen cabinets pull out drawers instead. Move the stove over next to the sink and where the stove was put more cabinets.
I would also want a storage closet for seasonal items. All the bathroom mirrors would be better to be storage medicine cabinets. You just can't have enough storage anywhere.
I also prefer the dining room next to the living room, so I would swap the kitchen and dining room areas. Master bath needs toilet behind a door.

This tour was a delight! Surprises around every corner. Loved the sense of privacy in the layout and flow. And loved the warmth of the wood tones throughout the home....and of course, loved that big bathtub in the master bath. Everything was just delightful!! Well done!!!!

Absolutely luv the layout. Obvious walk in pantry missing and very minor thing but if the two bedroom in the other end need two sinks since there are sharing the bathroom. The side porch is everything!!!!
Same model that's been around with exception of the Wood burning fireplace. I like it especially with the more natural wood tone cabinets. Just wish the dining area had a solid wall to place a hutch on. I like the kitchen window with side opening windows over the sink. The laundry room would be the be even better with a good porcelain laundry sink with a tall sprayer faucet

Be better if porch was screened in. Add a double kitchen sink. Like my washer/dryer next to each other. Could use a pantry in landry for added storage, (like to do canning from the garden), or for broom and mop. No carpet for me.

I would LOVE for them to make the shelving in kitchen to roll out. It’s hard to reach the back and items get lost. Also full roll out shelving in bottom cabinets.
I would change the tub in the master bathroom to a stand alone tub and have a pocket door for main closet. Otherwise it's perfect!! I love the layout, design and decor! I rate it a 15❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It would be nice if the manufacturer offered a modified version that has the side porch as the front door. Many mobile home parks have the short end of the home as the street-side elevation and the long side as the driveway side.

Great video, as usual. I would love for Deer Valley to have retailers more to the West, like AZ or UT. Live in CA now but looking at AZ and UT. Little scared to live near tornados or hurricanes.
I love the porch. I would prefer it be at least screened in. I’d really like it as a sun room with an electric FP for winter. The price is nuts though. But I understand it’s because of the economy. This would be great for my elderly parents… all on one floor but plants of room so they wouldn’t feel claustrophobic after having a 4 BR home with LR, FR and garage since 1972. I don’t think they would like a condo. My parents have a 2nd fridge and a full freezer in their garage and many other things stores out there. Their kitchen is small so their use the warehouse shelving they have in the garage for their canned goods (and stuff mice won’t eat through should one decide to take up residence there. A mouse ate through the Gatorade plastic bottle once ! And no, it was not a rat. They caught him. It was a mouse. )
This is a nice home but its above my income level. If I could I would get it.
For a change there is no wasted space but i would like to see a four or five bedroom in that home.
I do like that kitchen and the flat island. if I counted right, 12 drawers which is great. With no pantry there is a lot of storage in that kitchen. As always, I hate the barn doors. It would look great with pocket doors instead. Love those closets in the secondary bedrooms. So much storage in the laudry room. I like seeing storage in a house. I would rather see that the bedrooms are shaved off a bit to make for more storage. Love this house, all but the barn doors. I was happy to see that instead of making huge bedrooms, they made huge closets instead so that there is plenty of storage. No coat closets or linen closet but the bedrooms and the closets have room for a lot of that stuff. You got youself a bad sunburn!

The master bath is very nice but I'd rather have bigger bedrooms. 10x15 spare rooms is small. The rest of the house is beautifully designed.

The kitchen was a mess for me, no pantry and normally I don't mind mixed cabinet colors but that brown is too dark and there wasn't much cabinet space. Lighting was weird too. The porch I did really like but for the size & being Deer Valley I expected a better look. The layout is nice but design in finer aesthetics needs some help.

I really like the way the washroom is set up. Not a fan of the long kitchen though.
Outside of the fact the box is 32x76 outside dimensions makes it a big house. It is one I could live in as is. I really don't need the fireplace and would opt for gas on the heat, water and stove. Throw in a double country sink and I'd be in hog heaven. Excellent closets, excellent kitchen.
Nice home and tour Chance but can’t imagine having to go around the island to get from stove to sink and viceversa especially with a hot pot or so .

I like this home. The master bathroom is a bit odd for me with those cabinets. The sinks make it look dated. However, I realize that can be changed.
