    Well, the 2.0 in the Giulia's are (or were) all identical. It was just the map that made the 280bhp for the Veloce. I believe they made changes to the engine to ensure people didn't just buy a standard car and then have it mapped.

    The GTA has Sport Cup 2, not 4s. And one of the reasons was that Pirelli doesn't make the Trofeo R in the size for the GTA. And it's not a big market for only 500 cars.
    BR Performance gives this car 310-320 stage 1, I don't know what you mean by Stage 3. Has it changed turbo, intercooler, downpipe and so on?

    • @MarchettinoEN
      @MarchettinoEN  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I drove the GTAm last week (video dropping today) and I've been told they've gone for the Michelin as the car was better to drive, Pirelli would've been happy to develop a tire for Alfa Romeo even for "just" cars (they do that for Pagani which makes even less cars, so why not for Alfa?). Romeo Ferraris has developed a full exhaust, as well as increasing the stock turbo make the car reliable. I think a Stage 1 with +300hp is pure fantasy, people just want to buy a number and don't realise you need to make also the car driveable and reliable

      Alfa is not lighter than base 3 series plus you can buy 330i with 255 hp with equal 0-60 mph but tuning is much better, easier with bmw. 400 hp 330i for $1500 or 2021 bmw 340i inline 6 with 380 hp stock for same price as new 2022-23 Ti and get to 500 hp for not much more than $2k. Tuned 450 hp bmw 340i will beat QV.

      In the US you're looking at 119k thats with a 25k dollar market adjustment, the 30/60k mile maintenance is to do the drive train and they need to remove the entire front end of the engine it costs $$$ here to do, thats why you don't see a lot of ordinary people owning them, you have to have the income to be able to enjoy them, sure you can get them used and one with the service history thats already had that work done but it's not the same, you never know how the previous owner treated the car. I've seen top hp on a tuned QV here in South Florida was 600-650hp and that was with basic ECU tuning and Intake, exhaust and turbo modifications. And modding on the QV is also $$$ because if the parts aren't available you have to get them custom made which is much much more expensive.
