Following is a transcript of the video:
The Alfa Romeo Giulia. Since its release in 2016, this luxury newcomer has become one of the most acclaimed sport sedans on the market today. Between its fast acceleration, incredible handling, and overall comfortable ride, the Giulia easily stands out amongst the wide array of options in its class. It is at Alfa Romeo's historic plant in Cassino, Italy, where this driving machine comes to life. The Cassino plant has a production capacity of up to 1,000 cars per day. Since opening in 1972, it has produced over 7 million vehicles.
The building process begins in the plant's press shop. Here the car's body panels are formed through the use of both hot and cold press metal stamping. A combination of weight, pressure, and intense heat are applied to flat sheets of metal. Temperatures inside the hot metal press can reach as high as 950 degrees Celsius.
Next stop is the plant's body shop. It's the most highly-automated area of the plant, featuring almost 1,300 robots. Alfa Romeo takes advantage of new technologies to construct the Giulia’s body, the lightest in its class. Laser brazing is used in place of conventional welding to seamlessly attach the car's aluminum doors, while fully-automated self-piercing riveting joins steel and aluminum components. A special gluing process is then used to attach the carbon fiber roof found on the car's Quadrifoglio performance model.
In the plant's paint shop, the car’s body is dipped and turned in an anti-corrosion chemical treatment bath that optimizes bonding to metal surfaces. Sealant is applied robotically to make the vehicle waterproof and airtight. Primer, a base coat, and glossy clear coat finish are then applied to the body. Each car then receives final inspections from paint shop employees.
The plastics shop is where all plastic components to the car are formed. This includes front and rear bumpers, dashboard shells, tunnel consoles, fuel tanks and more. These plastic components are constructed through a combination of thermoforming, molding, blowing, and painting.
In the plant's assembly shop, the final product comes together. This area features mostly human-performed processes. Here the car’s chassis, engine, and gearbox are attached to the body shell. All glass and plastic components are added to the vehicle as well. After some final weather-testing and time on the dynamometer, the entire process ends with a brief test drive to ensure everything in the car is in working order.

Recently got a 2018 Giulia TI in Red and gotta say the best car I have ever driven. It was an experience like no other driving it off the lot.

We are the proud owners of a 2019 Alfa Stelvio ti sport. The fit and finish on this SUV is second to none. The Sport seats are beautifully done in performance leather with great lumbar and bolster support. Infotainment system is flawless and work well with Android Auto Play. Dynamic mode with the transmission in manual shifting via paddles is great fun. 2.0L turbo provides plenty of power.

The Cassino plant has only been producing Alfas since 2015 with the new Giulia. Before that it was a FIAT plant back to it’s beginning in 1972. Real pre-FIAT Alfas came from Arese and Portello before that. FIAT stopped production at Arese after purchasing Alfa and tore it down.

When I now witness how the Giulia is being produced, I'm not surprised to experience every day again the solid build quality of my Giulia QV 2017. It however surprises me that some press were negative about the interior. Besides a few buttons (that can be covered with aftermarket high quality aluminum rings) I can not complain about that either. It might be that the first model years had some electrical issues (especially with the battery) but that seems to be sorted out. It's by far the best car I've ever driven, despite it has been lowered with ST springs and fitted with 20 inch Llagos rims and low profile tires. I will never sell it !!!
Yes the interior is absolutely lovely and the only reason the press would be complaining about it is if they felt compelled to criticize something despite a reason not presenting itself.

This probably the nicest looking sedan in the US market and the sound of the engine is so mechanically sweet. Lease one if you can afford but think twice about buying.

I hope the new alfas have thicker or at least stronger body parts. I have a GT which is ome of their previous generation cars and love it both visually and mechanically and it would be an awesome car if it wasn't for the paper thin metal used on the body. All over the sides there are lots of dings and bumps from people hitting it with their doors in parking lots and other stuff. And this is a problem which I don't have with my other car which is a volvo and has proper thick metal for the body. I'll probably have to repaint it although the value of such models has dropped significantly in recent years and i wonder if it's going to worth it.
this new generation shares nothing with the previous. This was built from the ground up. FCA spent 5 billion dollars developing the platform and vehicle.

@@driftcat7076 not in terms of handling, driving dynamics and comfort. The challenger is based on a very old LX Mercedes platform. The Giorgio platform used here is still considered the best in the business right now for mid sized sports sedans. Not even BMW, MERC or Audi have a superior platform. Challengers owners are disappointed that FCA will not use a modified Giorgio platform for the next gen Challenger.

@@marvinslomp3564 1 day is 1440 minutes (24 hours) and dividing that by 1000 gives around a minute and a half for each car. To be realistic, the factory probably operate for 12 hours a day so that cuts the minute and a half even more. They would need at least 20 drivers to test cars simultaneously, everyday for 12 hours, to even come close to being realistic production of 1000 cars a day. Which I believe they do, at least I hope.
