In the 14th novel, it states that Climb believes that Renner stayed the same - he’s obviously talking about her facade that he fell for - even though she became a demon. I bet that Climb believed that Ainz forced Renner to become an imp so she wouldn’t have any human on her side and would become so desperate from loneliness that she would give her complete loyalty to the sorcerer king in exchange for Climb’s resurrection. And now, Climb believes that he must become a demon as well to remain by Renner’s side as way to pay for his failure in protecting her.
In a way Climb got what he wished for but not as he imagined, while the former Princess got everything she wanted and more, in some ways it's a win, win, however Climb will eventually suffer and maybe our former Princess as well as having imortalty can be a blessing and a curse as well!!
His every dream will come to pass. This seems like the perfect set up to make him momons disciple and have the princess be a pseudo lord in the human realms to increase the trust of the humans while making climb their next "hero".
I don’t think he has the worst fate, he basically got blindsided tho but anyways, clapping pretty princess cheeks for eternity doesn’t sound too bad. It’s better than the happy farm, getting eaten alive by cockroaches, and what ever that ugly kidney stone tool using monster has in store for her victims.
I'd disagree, but only partially. Climb isn't just simply loyal to a extreme but very much the embodiment of "ignorance is bliss". The fact that he would question her motives to begin with multiple times and still look away at the truth that was in front of him makes him willfully ignorant. His fall from grace so to speak wasn't just excessive loyalty out of a feeling of personal debt, but a unwillingness to accept the truth in front of him despite the evidence.
I think this is for the best. In the novel it was implied that Climb is both verbally and physically bullied by majority of the knights, especially those that come from nobles, in the Kingdom.
The most fucked up thing is that for the race change item to work he has to lower his karma level meaning he has to do evil things like say torture someone... or kill children like that evil monster did.
I'm curious how Climb will react when he sees Sebas in Nazarick
Demiurge liked Renner. That should be a big enough red flag for anyone
he's literally Link while Renner is a twisted evil Zelda.
People in happy farm: are we a joke to you.

If Im not wrong later on Climb did find out Renner true nature but he think Renner become twisted because Ainz-sama manipulation.
And here I thought the adventurers that get used as parasite hosts had the worst fate... cause they're literallly still alive...

He didn’t lie; he promised they would not be killed, and they won’t.

you know, ill take clapping princess cheeks for eternity versus the happy farm any day XD

It's extremely hard to be sad for Climb when

Climb's buffs before every battle:

It's not all bad. He gets to clap thos (flat🥶) Renner cheeks for eternity.
The most fucked up thing is that for the race change item to work he has to lower his karma level meaning he has to do evil things like say torture someone... or kill children like that evil monster did.
There were people who were physically and mentally tortured in this show. Brutally tortured and then healed just to be tortured some more.
If it either this or the happy farm , ten times out of ten I choose clapping princess cheeks.
