Story Summary :-
A woman named Maureen suspects that her husband cheated on her with his ex and they slept together. To make him jealous, she hangs out with her ex. He gets offended, even though she did nothing, and calls him a traitor. Months later, she is pregnant and announces to the whole family, but he denies the child. She moved out and stayed with her mom. He files for divorce and accuses her of cheating, even faking a DNA test for the child. She loses everything because of him and is left alone. Her husband Charlie comes across this post she wrote, making herself a victim when she is not. He explains that he never cheated with his ex, they were friends. But Maureen cheated with her toxic ex and fell pregnant. Two DNA tests proved that. Her ex then denied responsibility for the child in court. After that, she verbally attacked Op and caused him to have a heart attack, but he survived. She then gave up her child and left town, but soon regretted it. When she came back it was too late to get her child back. So she lost her husband, child, and boyfriend and was left all alone.

What childish behavior from both OP and her husband. He for lying to his wife about his health and seeing Monica in secret, making his wife assume he cheated. Then for her to go and cheat herself to get back at him because she thought he was cheating. These two are adults, right? Yet, they behaved like teenagers. I am insulting my 16-year-old by comparing him to OP and her husband. My son and his boyfriend had a pretty heated argument. But, instead of acting foolishly to each other, they asked his mom and me out to lunch. They let us know what they were arguing about and asked for our counsel. Both us moms were able to show them where they both went wrong and helped them work it out. So, if 16-year-old boys know to ask for relationship help, and work things out, why the hell are OP and her husband acting like the 16 year old.
Any marriage that starts without trust is doomed from the start….losing trust is a cancer that kills a marriage slowly and painfully if you don’t have enough sense to get out as soon as the trust is lost.
The trick is to never trust anyone enough to get married in the first place.

All I have to say is that it takes two to tango. I am sure OP 1 and OP 2 are both hiding certain specifics of this entire story. I can't see how one tries to outshine the other without some minor details being omitted.
He should've been honest with her and she shouldn't have tried to get revenge on him
At first, I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, but the more she kept insisting that she didn't do anything, and that he was the one cheating, my "bullshit detector" was sounding. So when he started telling his side, I knew my gut instinct about her was right. I hope the secondary OP gets better soon. As some other commenters have stated, OP2 should have let his wife know about his health conditions and strived to involve her in his treatments. After all, the main of being a couple is to be there for each other through all of life's curve balls.

I really used to enjoy listening to Reddit stories even though I didn''t have a Reddit account. Then one day I heard my sister's story trashing me being read. Total lies to gather sympathy. I set up an account just to read the lies she told and some of the comments.
It's made me critically question every story now. It's very good to hear from both sides.
They are both as bad as each other. The wife cheating and dumping her child. The husband keeping the medical problem secret from his family. Neither of them deserve to be involved with anyone. I feel sorry for anyone who gets involved with them.
She should have gotten a PI to gather information on him.
I wasn't convinced with the original post at all. She seemed very Paranoid and suspicious and trying to justify her cheating ways. Not to mention what she said to her sister seems like she just doesn't want anyone else to experience happiness.

This was very interesting. . . when they got to the court room and we found out the baby wasn't the husbands, I was shocked! However, OP never really had any proof that her husband was cheating. None. I also could not figure out why she needed her ex in her life. I was sus on that point, but I was still shocked that the DNA test came back as not being the husband's baby. Why did she even suggest a DNA test when she knew she had slept with her ex? This was a very interesting story.
Likely it was because she knew if she could convince the judge that the first test was tampered with or faulty, then she could get a second one that would rope her Ex into the equation and try to, as the Ex pointed out, entrap him in a relationship. She was trying to get the Ex soo bad that she didn't care if she lost the case, it was just another desperate tool for her.
Making spouse jealous is a stupid way of getting attention. If you can be friends with ex, ex he can be friends with his.
The biggest problem with this couple is that they do not honestly communicate with each other.

U were wrong for not telling ur wife ur health issues. I would have thought the same thing. All May have been avoided if hubby had been honest. I've always heard honesty is the best policy. Shame on ex-wife for treating her baby in such a despicable way. Pray baby gets a wonderful loving family.

Get a second test
If you know it is his child then redo the test at a different lab and have it sent certified mail wit’s an email sent to you. Someone could have falsified the results or there was a mix up at the lab.
I guess you cannot believe everything you hear on here. OP 1 kind of left out that she had the second DNA test and the ex was the father. Good luck OP2 with your health and hope you find a good woman. It was also good to have both sides of the story.

Yeaaaah i didn't believe her side even before her ex husband gave us his side. Like if you're upset hubby is hanging out with his ex don't give him ammo by hanging out with yours. Plus if the dna test was tampered with and you don't ask for another you definitely know the dad isn't your hubby. Several times a actually said "I don't believe you" when she told her side

Original OP tricked me too. She lost me with the "faked" results of the paternity test. So glad we heard the correct story because I was wondering how this was going to be resolved.

As someone who has been married for over a decade I can tell you that if you go into the marriage with the right mindset and morals then it will be the best decision you’ll ever make.
