    I love that you always do multicolored ribbing. It feels like a Jenna Phipps signature move.

    Jenna do you ever block your knit/crochet projects? I feel like it would be the final step to make them perfect and might solve some of the fit issues (like you could probably get an extra inch of length out of this sweater with blocking)

    • @emilymartinko720

      was just going to say that! don’t undo the ribbing for the third time just block it!! it’ll probably grow at least a few inches or more if you really stretch it out

    • @EpicFailArniek

      I would love for Jenna to do a blocking tutorial/trying it out video

    • @sarahpeterson2813

      Yep was going to suggest blocking too

    • @ilz_y

      Exactly what I was thinking! I feel like there’s a general lack of blocking in a lot of these youtube tutorials/vlogs and it bothers me bc even just soaking and drying the garments can make a huge difference.
      Saying that, it looks like Jenna used roving for this sweater, which doesn’t always block well due to its (lack of) structure.

    +1 to blocking your sweater. It might add just a bit more length and really come down to where you wanted!
    And I deeply relate to undoing that tubular bind off, it sucksssssssss

  • @GinteF

    For your next knit dream sweater, you should check out german short row shaping for the back, to make your sweater fit better (no raised back) :D edit: it's because you need extra fabric at the back to compensate for the extra fabric that is going over your chest

  • @SahbaMobini23

    I love your creativity when it comes to color - you put together shades i'd never expect and it always looks beautiful!! I figure if you still feel its too short as you go through winter you could try blocking it?

  • @Dalal0690

    It looks stunning. The body of the sweater probably would be more relaxed and more fitted if you soak it in hot water and block it.

  • @spiritwaterwolf

    I love your crazy sense of humour..... I love the back end clearance joke.... I would do that as a random customer prank..... hold the garment in you arms and walk around the clearance isle and see how many people try to look for the same garment LOL

    I have to look up stitches and techniques all the time and I've been crocheting and knitting for a w h i l e. I can't retain some things no matter how hard I try lol. You also inspired me to frog projects I don't like/never wear or use for new projects, which I'm enjoying more than I thought I would.

    If it is natural fibres, rather than acrylic, an aggressive block might give you a bit more length? Let it soak in warmish water for an hour, lay it on towels and roll them up like a buritto, step on the towel buritto to squeeze the water out then lay the sweater flat, stretching it to the shape you want and let it dry that way- wet wool is a bit like plasticine but it will dry into a stable shape. Your stitches will even out, too, if there is any uneveness x

    Your videos always make me smile, because of the way you seem to just "wing it" with what you want to create. I appreciate the way you approach something taking into consideration, whether you mean to or not, the fact that not everything goes smoothly and you will need to rethink your projects over and over again until you are satisfied with the end result. But, question when you were knitting the sweater why didn't you compare it to a sweater that you already had that fit you ? I'm not begin mean, I was wondering this because you have your mannequin and you have sweaters that fit you, you could of easily measured the length and width of the body and arms and created the sweater like that.

Tip on your breaking yarn. Just spin the sewing needle to put some twist in it and it won’t break like that. 😊 Super cute sweater!

    This is completely gorgeous and I'm always so impressed how you can create a pattern by yourself, not at all surprised though with how talented you are!
    I was wondering though if the green that you were using was perhaps perishing and if it was breaking off because of that? I have some lovely rusty coloured yarn that I really love the colour of and wanted to use it for a project I was doing but it kept snapping off whenever I pulled it or tied it off, so I think I'll have to bid it farewell sadly!
    Hope your jumper doesn't perish when you wash it if it was breaking off that easily, that would be a shame when it turned out so beautifully! :(
