    I've watched this video a couple of times and I've been trying to work out what your paiting for these figures reminded me of and its finally hit me.
    These would look completely at home in a Frank Frazetta piece.
    Beautifuly done sir

      That is very kind, thank you! His work is amazing and I’m honored to be mentioned in the same breath.

    Hands down my favorite "tutorial" channel. Always straight to the point. Easy to follow instructions with great lighting and editing. Plenty of new creative ideas. Can't ask for more

    This is hilarious - I was literally starting to plan airbrushing the skin on my dreamwalkers! I've been binging all your videos and they're seriously top quality. Excited to give this a watch!
    edit: Fantastic video, man. I love your conversational style of videos where you walk through your process rather than give a step by step "do this". It really helps generalize techniques to do what you want with them rather than have to watch a tutorial for every single mini I paint.

      Wonderous! I am very glad that you found the video helpful. This was exactly the type of thing i was going for. I understand peoples want/need for recipes but learning how to think and see how to paint and know when to use something is to me the most important thing.

    Great stuff This is similar how I am going to try to paint my titans :-) (try) ha the style even in the game art it feels like a nice old oil painting feel to them :-)

    Hi I've been seeing your Shorts recently thank you for them firstly, I'm not a good painter but I'm getting back into it with lots of Necromunda models for fun and to kill time. Is it possible maybe in the future when showing off your airbrushing skills maybe add a pop up saying what needle size (Idk if that's what they're called) your using so that you suggest what is appropriate, as personally I'm using my airbrush for priming and learning as I go using AP speed paints as a crutch.
    Baby steps, I got back into painting with the outburst of slapchop videos that gave me a bit of confidence to try again using that method my models aren't very well painted but I have observed what I like about some and not about parts of them.
    Thank you again for the content.

      Thank you and I’m glad that videos have been helpful! Very cool about painting up Necromunda, Ive always wanted to paint a batch of them up and play a few games with this current edition. As to the airbrush, eventually I’ll get to a video talking all about it but in the meantime to answer you question. The needle size i use is a .2mm but commonly .4mm is where a lot of miniature painters are around. Hope that helps.

    I did something similar to this👍🏻Pretty cool models in Aeon Trespass. What airbrush gun is that?

    • @WrathofMinis

      Definitely agree about the models, I think they are very cool. As to the airbrush, I’m using the Cult of paint Harden & Steinbeck Infinity.

    What a Great Video ! Very helpful. Good Production value. Nice guy. Would you recommend Contrast paints as a Substitute for the inks? I dont have any and contrast paints are also super liquid.

    Those models look like great candidates for the Brom style. Maybe it's because the game art feels like that was the ascetic they were going for.

    • @WrathofMinis
      @WrathofMinis  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a very interesting observation. I personally quite like de-saturated artwork and Brom has a tendency to do just that.

    Can you make a video on how you take care of your brushes ?

    Hey there! I just found your channel and your work is impressive! I really love how fine grained those coats you apply on the minis are and they don't seem to produce any mess at all around your working area. I'm wondering, if this is due to the quality of your airbrush you are using. I have no experience with airbsuhes, only with regular ones, and I'm thinking of buying one. Would it be ok for interior use? I'm thinking of following your video of creating similar effects to my own aeon trespass minis! Thanks! I see you have details about your equipment. Do you recommend this airbrush? Do you recommend any specific place here in the US? Thanks and keep up the good work! :)

    • @WrathofMinis
      @WrathofMinis  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a tough one to answer. Firstly I’m quite careful and I lean more towards being neat than messy, and that shows in my work. You can use it for interior work but it’s best if you have an open space and I think a respirator mask is worthwhile if you are doing a lot of spray work. As to airbrushes, I have sadly not tried enough different types of airbrushes to properly recommend one over any other. I bought an expensive one but that may not be necessary.

      @@WrathofMinis Cool! Thanks for the honest reply! Yeah, I started painting it with my traditional way, that is just brushes for now 😅, but at some point I would like to try the airbrush! Definitely a lot to explore there!

    • @WrathofMinis
      @WrathofMinis  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Im sure at some point! but if you feel like experimenting then the general concept of what i talk about is valid for all types of skin!
