Scalpers are already pre selling them on eBay. It’s gonna be a shitshow. I just want the apothecary in terminator plate, so I’m happy to wait for someone to sell that off a month later.
Great video, I actually decided against getting the Leviathan box. Partly because my space marine pile of shame is pretty large already. But also I couldn’t bother queuing and stressing over getting it. I ended up getting the AOS Dominion box sealed for £85, less headache more interesting models to paint.
If it’s properly balanced, the box could be a good investment for casual players IMO. Like players that don’t have the time and/or money to build their own armies or go out to play in stores. It would be almost like a chess set that you can occasionally play with family and friends or used to introduce new people as a demo game.
First reports says the two armies are not balanced between each other. Also for a casual game it lacks dice and range rulers and the actual stats for the characters which you need to find on their webpage. So its a box for the "hardcore" 40k gamer I think.
My local shop is getting like 40 boxes. Idk if that’s normal but idk why everyone is stressed about the queuing thing or do people just like to complain about anything? Idk
My biggest issue with 40K are not the rules themselves but all the abilities. And the stratagems. It’s A LOT to keep track of. Like a lot……. I really feel Warhammer is the ultimate lifestyle game. I keep coming back to it but I also keep getting overwhelmed and go back to board games.
Not sure if you've been following the new edition info, but apparently 10th is actively working to avoid this. I'm in the same boat as you, 9th edition just felt like a chore to play. But 10th is looking pretty good to me from what I've seen so far
@@MisterF946 GW can streamline the rules all they want. The game is still super rules heavy if all the units keep all their abilities. I think stragagems is cool but not 120 spread out over three books. That’s just crazy. Unpopular opinion; I hate the fact that GW’s business model is that they revamp the game every three years. Imagine if every boar game developer did the same. Well we’ve streamlined Monopoly for the 10th time folks…….. It’s such a waste of resources to print books that no one use four years later. It’s kind of disgusting. Just make a game that’s solid and expand upon it with new models, campaigns, new factions.
@@CicconeRitchie1 Doesn't sound like you've seen the new rules then, each army gets 8 strategems, and future releases aren't additive, they're optional army styles So you are only ever going to have 8 strats to remember during a game, the new ones they release will be new blocks of 8 essentially in the form of new detachments. I completely agree with you, that was rough in 9th and I stopped playing, but from what we've seen of 10th that's not the case any more. So I recommend looking more into it
Buy A song of ice and fire instead! Lol. We haven't played 40k since like 4th edition... this box has woken a sleeper. My brother sent cryptic message from nowhere.... "I saw the new leviathan box" the subtext of the comment enormous.
good luck getting one. GW has limited allocations to FLGS down to a max. of 30% of pre-submitted order lists. there are posts of FLGS claiming, that they will only get 3 boxes in total.

I was able to get a copy from GW and one from my LGS.
Right on!
White Scars will be a great choice!
I think so too!
