What if you want to push those shadows into a black -> red territory with a touch of orange in the extreme areas? Like there is fire or something below him. Would it be possible to underpaint with red lile you did? Just keep spraying. Or would it be better to start with a red brown before pure red? 🤔
I would probably go red brown before hitting pure red then to orange when it comes to a fire. The more variation in color and with the gradient is generally preferable. And when you are dealing with OSL then a little black mixture just as the colors transition from one to the other is helpful in selling the effect. So if we had a green and we wanted that red from underneath then we want some transition between those two colors and a blackish mixture would do the trick.
I’m always in admiration of painters who can achieve such great blending/fading results, excellent work!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
This recipe would make for an even better Salamander.
Well then, heck i don’t even need to do a Salamander video now!

'Zenithal' has to be the most overused term in all mini painting today.
If only it wasn’t so damn useful.
Crazy good skills ! Please make a blood angel version
Much too bright for a Dark Angel. This is right on for a Salamander though. Dark Angels are more blackish green.
