    When you added the noise layer to the synth, wow. Just goes from cheesy synth preset to astral travel

    Probably the best little mini tutorial I've found on TH-cam re: dub mixing. Simple and concise and really, really useful.

    Give thanks! Some really inspiring ideas indeed. It's also nice to see that some seemingly far fetched ideas can really be put into practice. Make a joyful noise!

    These tips are truly inspiring... my question is about how are the tracks brought out to the mixer? Are they bussed out thru your audio interface and then back?

    Useful set of videos. Thanks for sharing. Creative and thinking outside the box. ive been layering up VSTs like Metaphysical function through effects for some wierd ambient effects. I'll certainly be adding elements of this to my workflow.
    Just picked up a Memory Man with Hazarai, and been messing about with routing it back into itself. Was GIVEN a 24:8 soundcraft spirit studio, but not set it up yet. Gonna need to invest in many patch cables 😉

    Do you just add the noise as a layer on top or combine it with the synth? If so, how is this done? Thanks!

    thankyou for these tips, after years of just mucking around with daws, i discovered how to do certain things with reverb and delay, but you clarified some things i was already doing to a certain extent and added that extra bit i was missing, thankyou.
    particulary the feedback to its self tip, i had previously just used feedback to max on delay and volume adjustments adding rev or effect.
    just using ableton live and reason 11 lite now as i had all but given up making music (its all terrible daw stuff but i play to that) but a new dac and headphones lit a spark that got me wanting to "hear" music not just listen.(finally upgraded my xonar essence stx) .. and im enjoying making music again.... dont look at my channel ;P

    so you took all of the recordings, mixed em and bounced them down into a single file with reverb tail included, then loaded just that one file into the same exs instrument as the chord sample?

    how do u double it up? is only one note of noise being triggered along with the chord?

    • @dubkasm
      @dubkasm  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, this particular synth sound has a minor chord integrated which is why it sounded like chords. Without the synth's chord effect, the noise would play at different pitches if a chord was played. Hope that makes sense Doppler!

    • @spoony01428
      @spoony01428 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah got it. so basically its a sampled synth chord with the noise being triggered in exs24 simultaneously... or at least that's one way of doing it. big ups for the tutorials, this is a really nice trick
