    In light of your feedback, we decided to amend the title to something that better reflects the content of this video. Thanks as always for your contributions, keep them coming! I hope you’re all well and safe, Oliver x

    Aww go easy on the guy. It’s based on a pedal tone and is gorgeous music. Admittedly a lot of different harmonies are implied, so the title should probably read “can you write piece centered around one note?” Cheers, great piece and love the Albion V stuff!

    In classical Indian music they often use a root and 5th as a drone and then only single note ragas over it . The root and 5th would be peddle notes or a drone . . They don’t have harmonic theory in classical Indian music But in western music theory we would call more than one note played at once a chord and as the notes change it makes different chords . You could write a song with no chords just make a single note melody :)

    My favorite Albion Series library is Tundra next, Neo after, One. I love those three libraries with solo strings. I can not wait until I get Chamber Strings to finish my collection. Spitfire has changed my life from a school teacher to a composer, I will always say thank you, to the great individuals at Spitfire.

      Hi Andrew, thanks a lot for the nice words. When mastering, I'd aim for the same level as with a loud piece, I usually have a peak limiter at -0.3. I guess I'd compress it much less and have more dynamic range than with a louder piece. I hope this helps, Ox

    wow, that Tempo mapping!!
    Does anybody know if there is a way of doing this in Reaper?

    • @Hidalga.Erenas
      @Hidalga.Erenas 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the Master Track, right click over trim, and then click "tempo map" and then, if you don't see the tempo mapping, try "Show all active envelopes" or "Show all visible tracks envelopes in envelopes lanes". You have to see a lane behind the Master Track. In that lane you can add and erase anchor points with shift+click where you want. And right clicking with points selected, you have another menu. There, on "Set shape for select points", you can make that those points be square (a leap with no progression, for example, from 120bpm to 180bpm automatically) or linear (a progression, from 120bpm speeding up to 180bpm).
      It's easier to do it than to explain it. ^^U
      Hope that helps. :)

    Speaking of Tundra, this was my very first VST library. And I still find it very useful for my work. Those techniques, are great for translating the most intimate emotions into sound. Spitfire libs tend to develop mostly flautando-ish articulations and I guess Tundra is one of the best ones in this matter

      Oliver Patrice Weder Is the tempo mapping an automatic thing? Can it be done on a midi track, as well as audio? Guess I need a tutorial, since most all of my compositions are done without click, for the most realistic feel. Thanks...excellent use of all the sounds...Wonderfully moody. I have much to learn.
