    Awesome video... Do you have a link for the LifeSaver water jug/tank❓

    • @JeepsRoc
      @JeepsRoc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the comment. Always enjoy those. :-) Here is the link and if you use our direct link it will help us out to. Having the LifeSaver has been great on trips and the pressurized water is such a nice benefit as well. Sounds like we might need to do another video on the LifeSaver. amzn.to/3c0reCA

    Funny, just bought a shiftpod2 last week prior to finding your video as a replacement for an overland camp set up... the TH-cam Algorithms must have been listening to me through my phone..... My friend bought a roof top tent for like a million dollars and i just was not sold on it. I bought a shiftpod2 off craigslist and am headed out to the snow this weekend to camp in it. super stoked with my decision, hope you are too.

      Yes it seems like someone is always listening but usually talking about old movies and then the next days you see it on Tv. Scary stuff. Hope you like your ShiftPod. We have really enjoyed ours. We get the true benefits of all the layers of the materials. Welcome to the ShiftPod family. Thanks for watching

      @@JeepsRoc Hey! we tested the Shift pod in the snow up by Cle Elum Washington a few weeks back. it was about 20 degrees out. we had a little "heater buddy" in there and it stayed about 50 degrees all noght. SOLID investment, esspecialy if you have dogs since they sprawl out and you dont have to lift them up into the tent

    Wow, that tent really looks like a capsule in NASA. Are there any complaints on the shimmer it brings to other campers?

    • @JeepsRoc
      @JeepsRoc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No complaints, just raises questions on what it is and does look different when in a camp ground.

    Looks like my insulated Otter ice fishing tent, same pop out design.

    • @JeepsRoc
      @JeepsRoc  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The design has held up well to hard rains and high rains, ShiftPod has so many layers it keeps the heat in when you need it most.

    Great video for someone like me, figuring out what my overlanding setup will be. Trying to decide between the Shiftpod Mini vs. GFC Superlite roof-top tent. Questions: What mattress do you like in the Shiftpod? And do you use the rainfly on it, or is that unnecessary? Thanks again for posting this well-done video.

      ShiftPod or Rooftop tent all depends on what you want to do and if your going to use the RTT for long periods of time. We have both, we try to use the RTT a few months out of the year and then we go back to the ShiftPod.
      For a mattress we have been testing and using the following for the last couple of months and we are working on completing a full review of all the mats we have used in the last couple of years. Our favorite one is from DeepSleepOverland.com called the Solo Mat. If you have subscribed or clicked the alert on our channel you will be one of the first to see the new video.
      Thanks for watching

    If you ever need mosquito patio I’d advise QuickClam man we love ours! About as easy setup as Shiftpod.

    The design originated from a Burning man attendee. He created it, now he selling them. These are designed to be used with small Climate Rite Air Condition/heat unit. Larger model has built on venting to accommodate in/out air ducks.

    I'm 6'0. Do you think the mini being 72"x72" is an issue? I was thinking maybe sleeping diagonally would be an option, but maybe also awkward for two people. Seems like they maybe made it too "mini"?

    • @JeepsRoc
      @JeepsRoc  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have done both. I am 6 ‘1, full size air mattress or a cot diagonally when I am on my own, both works. Just make sure you stretch those sides when deployed. It is great for 2 people

    Do you still deem this superior for your needs compared to a roof top tent or wedge?

    • @JeepsRoc
      @JeepsRoc  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We also have an iKamper roof top tent. It just depends on how long you plan to travel, camp, etc. If we are on the move to a new destination each day then a RTT, if stationary for a few days then Shiftpod for sure. One thing to keep in mind RTT you are stuck and have to break camp each time if you need to get additional supplies or go wheeling. We have missed out on a few night wheeling trips because our RTT was deployed. So it all depends.

      Jeeps Roc I’ve been eyeing the skycamp mini, Quite the price point though. Which IKamper do you have? Thanks for the upload and feedback. Both great bits 👍

    • @JeepsRoc

      We own the Skycamp we jumped on it when it was a kickstarter in 2017. New improvements and style has been added but it is a solid choice.

    • @JeepsRoc
      @JeepsRoc  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes we do. So quick to setup, and tear down. The Shiftpod mini is great for two people and fits in the back of a 4 door with no problem. The way it cuts down on all the condensation is a huge plus. Do not wake up sticky like most tents do.
