Love my shiftpod mini. Easy to set up, lots of room for 3 on the floor or 2 on cots. NEver crawl into a tent again, be the first set up and tear down, it rocks
Awesome product, great reviews. I know 99% of people comment to tell you about their plans and dreams, but it really is nice to those who are undecided on how to tackle our adventures. I go from truck camper with utility trailer, to travel trailer with "toolbox-a-palooza" on the truck, to living in one place each season in a canvas tent. I usually talk myself out of the tent pretty quickly, but I do want to hit natural disasters to help with acute crisis issues, so you including things like guest house and rallies or swap meets really helps out. I considered the hardside popup about 3 years ago when I found your channel and was going between truck camper and that, so you're either helping me figure it out, or confusing the hell out of me!!!!! I bet the RC trucks help you practice physics and learn before taking vehicles on extreme adventures.
I got a definitive Shugemery vibe off this video. Which means, fun, original and informational, nice to follow along with your evolution through the years
I think you sold me on the pod. I'd just bring a tarp to go under it i think. Save on clean up. Love what you do bro. You seem like one of the good ones. Wife and i are slowly building our f250 crew cab.01' that pod might just do the trick till we can figure out what to do for living space. It would still be useful as an extra space later. Thanks for the update. Hope to say hi in person someday .
Shiftpod and Gazelle have done a good job of converting ice fishing tents into camping tents. I have the Clam X400, which is the same thing. They are heavy and bulky, but the room inside is nice. The only thing I would say is that I haven't seen any reviews in rainy conditions. My review in the rain is that they do have issues. However, I'm not aware of any tent that holds up to being rained on for 2 days straight. Not showers, full on steady rain. The other thing between the Shiftpod and Clam X400 is the interior. Mine is black inside, which is super nice for sleeping in. Also, the floor on the X400 is rubberized. Makes it heavier, but at the same time it did remain dry even during a corner being in a puddle most of the last trip.
This is what worries me. I need a shelter more robust than a tent to live in for several months in Portugal, where spring and autumn routinely deliver two weeks of non stop rain. AND the reason I need to be in a shelter at all is because I’ve become sensitive to mould. So I can’t afford insulation moulding. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to suggest them!
We have a similar contraption called a clam. It’s a screen room that opens up the same way. We have sides that Velcro on the outside. It’s somewhat waterproof but in a downpour forget it. Our grandson stayed in it once when we went star gazing in Pennsylvania for the weekend. Like you said, it’s kinda long. We have to carry it on the floor of our truck camper so it gets in the way when we’re not using it. Love the VW! Keep on truckin!
Just spent 12 days on the road with a buddy and our girl friends. Buddy and his GF used a Shift Pod and really liked it with the exception of it heats up fast in the morning. At Stove Pipe Wells by 8 am it was to warm. Other than that they liked it.
Phil that pod is super dope. I was just in Moab mobbing the mountain bike for a long weekend, would have loved to have one of these. They seem super spacious and comfy.
I just found the shift pod because I was looking for the best Four Season shelter because I want to combine it with my rocket stove in-ground Earthen Thermal Mass Heating System! It will help keep it cool in summer also because Earth temps are always lower than ambient temperatures.
I've never been camping but I would want the pod if I ever go. I want to be able to stand and walk around not crawl. I also like to hear that you could use a wood heater with it.
I'm 5'1" and I still have to crouch. Unless I'm right in the center, THEN, I can stand up, but, since cot goes in center, I can't stand fully. Unless I set up all my gear on the floor, it's alright. I definitely want the bigger pod, but shipment delays and shortage of supplies and no ability to make payments has barred me from buying the new one.
Dont camp in real life but going to EDC and camping in these. Is there some kind of alternate ground sheet we can buy for a Shiftpod 2? They don’t give up the groundsheet and it’s hot af in Vegas in May. 😫🥹

Dude I was expecting a review on shiftpod, instead I got a 5 yr old talking about his toys, wtf, what a fav.

Like the looks of the shift pod looks easy to set up
Beautiful campsite.

Good looking Tent!

I have a mini..love it
How is the ventilation? Too hot in the summer? Enough insulation to winter camp in snow?
Have a great day
Has anyone ever used this for extreme cold (33F/0C) or 120F? Does it insulate you from the cold and heat?
Outstanding !!
Right on bro, used to live up there.
So heavy though.
Nice concept & perfect for festivals & FEMA
Does is stay as cool or cooler than a normal tent having that reflective finish?
Pretty sweet.
Great video! Your so fun to watch.
Well I was thinking of getting the Gazelle tent but not I'm thinking shiftpod.
The price! It's not budget. Nice space though. I am a fan of Gazelle Tents. So fun to see you playing
When is the truck gettn started on lol
How do you handle the condensation of it’s fully closed a lot in bad weather conditions?
I've never been camping but I would want the pod if I ever go. I want to be able to stand and walk around not crawl. I also like to hear that you could use a wood heater with it.
How does the Pod do in heavy rain without the rainfly? 1/10th crawlers are awesome!
How is the floor? Is it rubber padded thick?
Awesome video❤
I like the pod, but really interested in the Mini Pod you mentioned...You being 6' tall, I'd like to see how much room is in one...
It looks like a well thought and well made product but you just know that everyone that owns one even though they love it calls it " The Shitpod." LOL
Can this fit in a 6ft bed?
Cool cool...
Mob it down to..
Lake Havasu- ☀️ AZ.
I want one
Have a safe blessed day! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Hello Phil & Koda.
I have a shiftpod too but noticed you folded it up with the floor zipped in. Does it still go down and pack away well with the floor still attached?
I always leave my floor attached on my shiftpod
@@2fifde I didnt know it could be left like that. Thanks!
Hey Phil! Love your channel! Could you possibly give out the link to the RCs? Would love some info! Thanks❤️
Where to purchase Shiftpod?
I'd go with the small Shiftpod but it's ceiling to too low to stand up in, and I'm only 5'9". That's a deal breaker for me.

I like your Pod! However, I think my Oz tent is quicker. That said, I would bet the Pod's lighter and a bit roomier. Nice overall!

Have one...Not worth the money...just get an ice fishing tent for 100 bucks. Same thing...
Identical to my wife's ZJ.
Just had to throw girth in there huh 😂😂😂
its a jeep thing and now you understand
Soooooo true.
Gazelle tents.
I like the shiftpod but they're sold out...
Wonderful but way too big packed for motorcycle.
that thing is pricey.
Hello Goodbye
Where is that over weight pile of crap Gladiator lol
I am surprised how ugly Arizona dirt is. That ground looks so unwelcoming. Thank god the rest of the country is not as arid and ugly like that.
Cool camping pod. 🏕🏕🏕🏕🏕🏕⛺️⛺️⛺️⛺️🛖🛖🛖🛖
