Great to see you on the road to recovery James, I too have CFS and am questioning foods that maybe spiking my blood sugars, thank you for saying there is hope, keep doing what your doing, I will take a look at your blogs and recipes 👍🏽👍🏽
Hi James, I am very inspired by your story and you should be very proud of yourself and your achievements. One thing I would say is that I got M.E. 4 years ago triggered by a virus. I did the 90 day programme with the OHC and I think this put me on track for the steady recovery over the intervening time. Last year, considering myself to be 80% better I started a fundraising campaign for my local school. However, just before Christmas, I had a fluey cold and after which all my symptoms started to return and I have had a major relapse at a time when I thought I was guaranteed to get better. For the last 2 months I have been back to 20% and I think it will be a long crawl out of the illness again. I'm not sure if it was the combination of stress of the campaign (which I have now largely abandoned) and the virus, but please just be careful that you do not jeopardise your own recovery as I feel I have done. It seems to be quite common that people on the recovery path lose some of their discipline in using tools in the latter stages, but it is important to keep going until the end.
I'm very happy for you, James! You gave me hope! I will subscribe on your Chanel too. It looks to me that you recovered from quiting dairy products, and from finding a true love; your current wife. I'm in the crash stage now, I stopped working 6 months ago. I worked full-time for 3 years while heaving CFS, and after work taking care of two kids; and after 3 years I crashed. I started ketogenic diet two months ago and I have a little bit more energy now. I think that everything is important from the right diet to rest, good sleep and meditation. I'm willing to try everything. Good luck to all who suffer! One day we will recover like James. We just need to keep trying.
What a terrific video! I follow James on Instagram and his recipes always look amazing! I can really relate to his story. I'm doing better at my recovery and seeing some progress, but I still needed that reminder that it's hard to see the progress when your in the middle of it. I also liked the reminder that it takes time. Such a great inspirational story! Cant wait for the book!
wow! What a coinkydink! I started following James last month and some of his recipes and food look delish! Next time I manage to get to the grocery Im going to try one of his recipes.. ! I'm glad to hear that James is feeling much better and I hope he continues to get even more health! I got ill 2.5 years ago and I have worked up to currently being mostly house bound but can get out of the house and do easy things here and there... I m also supposed to get married this year and I hope it's a good day for me! thanks for sharing!
@@HealthyLivingJames.. thank you! I ve been feeling a bit better these past few days ... managed to visit my brother, go shopping a couple times and visit a friend for lunch! also got a new car! .... Enjoying every day as best as possible! I hope you continue to enjoy your time as well!
I have checked James's site and the food looks delicious! Food is not the entire answer but a large part of the concert of protocols that create recovery. So do please adopt all the necessary lifestyle and psychological changes to support the bodies natural healing. AND be patient, it can take years so stick with it. Small addendum.. I love Alex but his use of 'kinda' as every 5th word can detract from the professionalism he obviously possesses. (Sorry... I'm a teacher, I can't help it!)
So in essence we do not need the services and pay huge sums from the Optimum Health clinic for LP light and nutrition? Like Ramsey, Richardson, Ho-Yen, Hyde and Dowsett said that early diagnosis and total rest will give good recovery for most.
All the symptoms of CFS come from the maladaptive stress response in overdrive. Good diet and rest did nothing for me, I actually got worse (due to the hopeless and stress of being ill). I have only made a lot progress by working on a hopeful positive mindset, daily mindfulness meditation, practicing mindfulness during the day, daily EFT and stopping any symptom or stressful thoughts (with a "stop" technique), cultivating a lot of self compassion and Reverse Therapy concepts in this ebook www.reverse-therapy.no/reversetherapyforhealth.pdf. The OHC in their 90 day program teaches these tools (meditation, EFT and a "stop' process) and if you listen to their recovery stories, the ex-sufferers attribute these tools to being crucial to their recovery. I went from a 5 minute walk 6 months ago to walking 2-3 miles a day and about 80-90% recovered with these tools (I have had the diet in place for 2 1/2 years of illness but only started recovering with daily practice of the tools I mentioned).
Ryo - you don't have to pay anyone to help you with your recovery. You can learn EFT tapping from youtube I recommend Dr. Kim D'Eramo for free. There are meditations on TH-cam as well for free. I recommend Jason Stephenson - Peace. And - let go of Anxiety by Power Thoughts Meditation Club. These meditations are very helpful with anxiety. I also recommend to buy a book I think It was only $15 on Amazon; it's Reverse Therapy by John Eaton. Also look for recovery stories on youtube that are honest, and not anyone who wants to sell stuff. Also watch the movie on Netflix called Heal. It tells all about chronic ilnnesses and what helps. Rest, go to bed early and eat well. Write a gratitude journal, and do what makes you happy. You will recover, I will recover as well. I just can feel it. Positive attitude always. Good luck!
@@timelapsevideos9254 I found the Reverse Therapy book (2017) very helpful also! There is a free ebook also, www.reverse-therapy.no/reversetherapyforhealth.pd. I didn't do OHCs 90 day program, I just use have used their tools to heal! (FasterEFT youtube channel has over 1000 videos also).
@@seanm.collins9888 I believe just a couple people have died from CFS. People also have died from the common cold turning into pneumona and have also died from an infection from a cut that never healed. I bet you have been spending a lot of time on cites that claim anyone who healed from CFS never had it. You may want to start listening to recovery stories instead. This youTube channel (OHC) had many and so does CFS Unravelled. Alex Howard has a book about his recovery and I think I have read about 4 others written by other people who recovered. If you question whether CFS is really the maladaptive stress response see the following recovery programs, created by people who recovered from CFS: Gupta Programme, DNRS, ANS Rewired, and Fatigue Answers. The OHC has the maladaptive stress response and a major part of CFS.
