- Is there going to be a new Nioh 2 Ninja meta based on the recenlt DLC - Darkness in the capital? In this video I cover where to find the following smithing texts and combat arts for the Ninjutsu, claws/fists and Sword Tree. It seems like a lot of focus has gone into the Ninjutsu options this patch!

Can confirm he does drop the Smithing Text for the Dragon Armor. Was my 3rd drop while I was farming for Umbral Bullet

@@Onos got all smith texts and all new scrolls fast in dream of samurai level the fight with Ren ends in less than 10 seconds lol, I’m grad I have ninjitsu build, now I can start dream of the wise!
Can you get the dragon sword smithing text?
Because in the first game you could only get it in way of the nioh (dick move btw).

The fight takes too long? It takes longer to load then beat him. Just useing splitstaff with Inari and beat him in 30 seconds or less
I like how Team Ninja have now teased the fact that the theory of Nioh 1&2 being prequels to Ninja Gaiden are true.

I’m glad they are incorporating Ninja Gaiden in this game with this new skill and armor sets. It was one of my favorite games. And I enjoy Nioh 2. I’m happy and excited

That was Jin Hayabusa and it's not a Nioh 1 throwback as it is more of a Ninja Gaiden easter egg.

@@Onos Yo bro im like 13 main missions in the main game if i buy the dlcs will I be able to get spilt staff and brawlers in the main game without playing the dlc?
I got 02 accessories(yasakani and a water dragon) 02 ranged arms 01chest piece all with susano's grace so versatility is ready all what is left is hyabusa full set it's perfect cause i still didn't use sword or claws and now i get to combine these two amazing sets and use 2 new wpns for me. I am so excited

Yeah the claws are pretty fun. Haven't mastered them yet but I plan to! Just need more time!
Yeah I agree, but for me at least the fists/claws take awhile to master. I got used to them because I’m a tonfa user, but the fists are a bit challenging. Still I’m liking the flow of the attacks as well as how you can dodge and flip around in low stance.
@@ironkevman1513 Yup, now that i've had few hours to get to know claws a bit i can see where you're coming from.
Really need to go close and personal with them. But with light armor and just going with flurry of hits and kicks, dodging and jumping around is really fun:D
@@lucyone4581 right? Like when everyone else is blocking attacks, I’m just back flipping away. Or there was a few times I’d cartwheel around to dodge arrows and bullets. I just gotta memorize that fists can’t block as good as tonfas. I’m good at dodging but up until now I’ve been mainly blocking hits.
Sick, Hayabusa was my end game, glass cannon set in the first game, but this one looks much more badass, and the claws look way more fun than the kusarigama.

There is also one more skill he drops. The fire ball and sword/claw skills apparently drops on the first kill. I got his wind skill but not the claw one...

0:47 - Those spear Yokai absolutely WRECKED me the first time I fought them on DotD. The Water Damage goes right through Protection Talisman, which I rely on with my low-health/high-ki light armour build. Normally I rely on learning attack timings, but she has really awkward delays between her combos that completely caught me off guard.
Yeah, me and my buddy were running through on dotd as 2 axe builds and she still fucked us up pretty hard with her curse grab
@@alexholmes8714 Yeah man! I think the first one you fight is buffed with the 'Curse' (where she's glowing red) so it's even harder. I got absolutely murdered in like two hits through Protection Talisman.

Okay, after playing around a bit with the set, I worked things out: The unlimited shurikens skill makes your shurikens pathetically weak, but the set isn't intended for ninjutsu builds. Unlimited Shurikens is meant to synergize with the Attack Up On Ninjutsu Hit, so you can keep that bonus going. This isn't an armor set for Ninjutsu, it's meant for bringing out the strength of the Ninja Gaiden weapons. The fire dragon scroll, however, is an absolute nuke for ninjutsu builds.
Agreed about the synergy. The shurikens are pathetic for damage on their own, but it's a great way to get a free damage buff on demand.
Yo bro im 13 main missions into the main game. Just wanted to know if i buy both dlcs will I be able to get the split staff and brawlers as drops in the main game?
If it migrates from 1's version of the armor then the Unlimited Shurikens will be more geared towards proccing that increased attack bonus more than it's actual damage output. Immensely excited to see the set I used throughout my grind to lvl 700 in Nioh 1 return. Tacking on that they replaced the Hyabusa Kusarigama with the new Fist weapon (which has quickly become my favorite EVEN over my beloved Katana) and I may not have to search for another set/set combination ever again!
If you hover over unlimited shuriken it tells you how garbage it really is lol. However! If you are just using the set for the increased dragon sword dmg and further boosting its output with the increased attack from ninjutsu hits you can get decent melee dmg, still not better than pre-dlc sword builds buts its fun to play around with.
It's not really garbage it's a long range poke to give you an attack bonus from the ninjutsu hit. It's an infinitly better rakensen coin.
Yeah I think it's mainly aimed at being an on demand attack boost

i mean it looks cool and its ninja giaden i guess but too me the set was always kinda garbage. iga jonin was the true ninja build set in nioh 1 and they ruined it in 2 imo
@@luisestevan3272 yeah I'm running flying kato set with Marici graces to get the highest ninjutsu dmg and bonus' possible. So far its really strong but the moment you run out of ninjutsu = Dead
I have got inheritable star throwable damage that is 19-20%. If you can roll it on Hyabusa ethereal. Goodness the damage.

I’ve been testing out that set and I cannot really see the increased Iframes on evasions, still though, the 8% damage increase, special weapon bonus, infinite shurikens and +damage on ninjutsu hit go really well together, I can see this being a super strong set.
Yeah I agree... I love the synergy. Unlimited shurikens to get the increased damage buff. Haven't had the chance to test it properly but should get some time later tonight.
Its not unfortunately. Flying kato set combined with the new Marici Grace from ethereal sets is the meta right now. Highest ninjutsu dmg comes from this combo.

Its crazy how half the people playing don’t even know ninja gaiden or what the dragon/spider clans are and don’t understand that the hayabusa blood line is full of legendary ninja warriors that defy gods
How so? NG hasn't had a new game in a decade? I only recently started playing NG3: RE thanks to Wii U emulator :) game is ahead of its time in my aspects
Amazing video thanks for clearing up there are other arts, btw you should make a video about new lucky drop accessory skill. It's seems busted already farmed almost full ethereal Kato from only awakening chapter in lazy farming. Only been testing for 2-4 hours.

@@Onos it is amazing. Btw in nioh 1 in the first dlc, there was someone else from the hayabusa clan, ryu hayabusa. It is really nice to see the hayabusa again. They had a different set back then, but this one is awesome as well

Hey there Onos, just wondering what’s your thoughts on the direction TN is going with the DLCs? On one hand, I love that they’re introducing cool and awesome historical figures from different times, but on the other I feel that because of that, we’re not getting enough time to know these characters well enough.
I totally agree actually... I've really enjoyed the new content but I can't say I've connected much with any of the characters! Might do a vid on the topic at some point soon

Was cruising through Way of the Demon till I Ren Hayabusa. Killed me probably 20 times. Had to switch from Splitstaff to Axe, but finally took him out. Axe destroyed his ki and kept him on his heels.
Yeah same! It's a tough fight... Farming him wasn't fun at first 😂😂
Really wish they would give us an option to where we can choose to have the katana on our back like hayabusa or keep them on our side 😔

meh same set from Nioh 1.... looks different and adds 2 new skills.... overall didnt find Izuna drop dealing more damage it just looks cooler. Dragon fireball long casting for a little damage... and unlimited shuriken deals as much damage as papercut.... but FASHION is important :)

Yeah I'm not a fan of the leg-armor... Looks massive (sorry I can't remember the name of the leg armor right now... Its silly late and I'm blind from video editing 😂)

Found dlc way to insane hard. I quit after a 3 hrs trying to kill the spider boss. And summon visitors don't see to be working.
Fits where a total let down so low damage.
Fists have the hardest hitting move in the game, and have built in versatility... if you think they have bad damage you were using them wrongly

I can’t use the art of combat for the claws. Do you know why?
It might be because you're using fist weapons, not actual claws. Maybe try using a different claw weapon and see if that helps?

@@DarkSchuller somone told me that you can refashion them to look like claws and that will make it work... Haven't tested it though... Maybe give it a try?

I noticed a few things but I'm holding off saying much until I've got a good understanding - I really want to see the official English patch notes - the translated-from-Japanese versions I've seen so far are terrible lol.

Stop calling all nioh 1 shit new, it's rehashed bs just like giant toad from DLC 2 and nue from DLC 1 and also DLC 2 Ren is a rehash of Jin from nioh 1
The Fireball Jutsu is Great but the other ones are to weak for it costs, i play a pure Ninja with mostly max Jutsu attack (arround 800 in the moment) and the Umbra ball does arround 4k Damage i can use other Jutsus for the same.costs (2,5 points) and do a lot more damage.
