This may help ... most of the ethereals dropped from big kodamas come with grace inheritance. I have over 80 grace inheritance on standby from the big kodamas. Looking forward to more of your builds after your break
thanks for being brutally honest man! i love nioh, the skill building and class custimizations and battle mechanics, but the grind is absolutely insane! they things you have to do in order to get perfect rolls is insane for any rpg game!! people dont have the time for this shit
I totally agree with your rant complaints. In a single player game, there should be absolutely no reason for the RNG to be just so terrible. I literally skipped the last dlc after I beat it on Strong and didn't bother leveling anything up. Wise was nice for me since you could be basically immediately upgrade and I am not level capped which by now, is the only reason I am really still playing. It's barely possible to get a setup you want, let alone thinking of doing multiple builds for variety. I'm currently using a corruption/Mag 7 piece/Susano 6piece build but with a tonfa. (yeah, i know I literally nerf myself thanks to not having the dmg stat but I just like Tonfas.) Considering I have the graces but nowhere NEAR the starred accessory stats and only half the stars on the others. I couldn't even imagine doing multiple builds with the horrible RNG. They would keep us around longer if we could make multiple builds around different weapons but....it seems that falls on deaf ears. Also, love you vids on games I play.
The rng and grind is so bad I can’t help but compare it to WoW. WoW for sure is a lot worse but god damn an awesome game like this with amazing combat and badass build potential shouldn’t make players sell days to weeks of their soul just to get what they want. I want my friends to play this game with me so bad but the grinding and rng really turns them off and I completely understand where they come from. Usually I just have fun with the combat, I’ve been having a blast with fisting people but if I want to make specific builds especially when I get to a point where I want to try out graces it’s gonna be so time devouring. Shit like that is anchoring this game from being close to perfect. Not even FromSoft is this bad with their grinding, sadly Nioh 2 seems to be the last one of the series until a good while. They’re going to bring back NG and I’m hoping the combat mechanics are similar to Nioh, hopefully they make a game more like Nioh or continue the series to improve on the flaws.
Honestly the ethereals were fun and I liked the new game a little with some of the new enemy placements but overall the op stats like the ultimate stats and the better overall effects you can get are what are worth.I agree that team ninja seriously dropped the ball with the rng on this one.Nice vid and I hope you enjoy the game and play it more anyway.
Making builds is terrible. I played through 75% of Wise before I had all my pieces. I've seen around 5 grace inheritables with only one being useful. This is out of 1000 ethereals being dropped. Now that I've got my build, I don't even want to play anymore. The game just eats at your soul one wrong grace at a time until there is nothing left.
The lucky drop effects worked great for me at the start but now i find myself barely getting any drops for my weapon in farming lol. I just want a susa hammer for ultimate constitution. Is that so much to ask?
Try other builds. you dont need to one shot everything to enjoy the game. The other day I did a full ki damage and active skill damage build and it pretty much destroys enemies ki bar.
Very sorry to hear you're done with builds, but not surprised at all. I still remember when you were finished with builds in Nioh 1, and I kind of saw this coming with the sequel. Thanks for all of the builds until now, really appreciate your videos and your points are all correct on how unnecessarily grindy they've "designed" it. I'm enjoying the game and love that a lot more has become viable now, but it can be extremely frustrating so I totally get it. Hopefully they change things up so we can farm without it feeling tedious.
My Man, if the rng is hard to be-friend with,or you are getting bored, do what i did:I did not play nioh 2 for 1 year and i came back when the Complete edition came and th e Game became Brand new to because of the Fists. I again became addicted to Nioh 2..btw thanks for this build, take note, even the BEST Games of all time can be boring after years of playing it, which means you just need to stop playing for a while then comeback like i did and the game became brand New😍More power to you
Hey Pwar big fan of your work. Totally get the burn out. Would you consider putting out a video series explaining the stats in the game and what is worth stacking because you seem to have that knowledge in hand.
On the one hand I totally agree with your rant, just because smithing in Nioh 1+2 feels like such an afterthought. On the other hand I don't think that games like Nioh should make multiple OP-builds easily accessible without the effort. Of course a content creator will get burnt out by the game, because that requires all the extra grind. I've created my first true build in Wise with the stuff that was available - a katana with AA star-scaling on skill, so i went with that and made a Takemikazuchi electric-build which gives me 65% additional damage on electrified enemies...and it still works in Dream of Nioh. I'm not one-shotting bosses but I'm still having fun. A perfect solution would've been the ability to craft etheral gear with the graces you'll get still being RNG or grace-transfer being an attribute you can obtain via reforge by adding etheral umbrazit, period. No brainer. It really baffles me that TN didn't think of this.
I like the theory crafting. I like the final outcome. I don’t like all of the stuff in between, however. It’s a bit too daunting, since I know how this goes at this point. I have many ideas myself that I’d like to try out, but I really don’t want to spend the time farming, since I don’t have too much time to do so, nor do I appreciate TN taking away ways to get the things I’d like. So I’ll play the last DLC, since I payed for it, but I don’t care much for doing the extra difficulties. Maybe if it comes out on PC and I can mod things or something, I’d play it. Until then, I’ll see Nioh 2 in 2021 to see how it’s above average story ends.
Its actually easier now with all the stat effects you get. They have the usual grace trasnfers and rarity transfers but there is a new one that even lets you outright change one of the base stats on the weapon so you can make an odachi that scales with constitution and then double dip with the attack bonus skill as well. As far as customisability goes its way better. And ethereals drop everywhere, in general gear and difficulty wise i have found wotw far better balanced than wotd. Its worth making a build Honestly biggest issue with the multiple difficulties is that you cant just barrel through to the end you have to do some specific number of side missions to unlock the finale

There's still a way to save scum. Save before entering Blacksmith. Then go temper. If you don't get what you want, don't get out of blacksmith. Press Ps button and close the app. Then restart
Very nice to see you again. I'm really enjoying my axe/odachi build with susanoo and amaterasu. I switch it up between ultimate constitution and courage every now and then though. I tried maric's and it worked but im just not a ninja spamming guy. Think ill make a build with susanoo and magatsuchi as my final till next dlc. Ive gotten some bad ass sentience boost accessories. I just wish the inheritance and transform bonus perks were more common
I mostly I agree on your rant, especially stupid RNGs, but then again, I avoid making near perfect build, I just use anything that's available on my storehouse. Here's hoping they add similar defile gears on next DLC

I'm still using my tanky dragon dance splitstaff build from the first dlc with some minor changes (extra 2 piece set bonuses for the hp increases). Its still strong and can handle all the content in the game. Its not stupid strong, but it'll let you tank almost everything thrown at you and let you heal while dealing damage. Its not super difficult to set up either.
I recently bought and beat Nioh 2 and I’m currently going thru dream of the strong….this is absolute gibberish and insanity…I ain’t ready but I wanna figure all this out
I understand WHY it's so hard to perfect a build like this, but man I wish it was just a little bit easier. The idea of having this much fun blowing stuff up at super endgame sounds amazing, but man what a chore.
I don't understand the reason for using Ho-Oh over Atlas Bear. I tested both damage outputs and Atlas Bear does more every time and by a significant margin. If anyone knows why please let me know because I am stumped.
i was wondering how you managed these builds so long, i knew they would take its toll eventually. when nioh 2 first came out i was trying to do your night blade build with the sword, 40k dmg Iai or whatever. it took me months just to barely even touch the surface of getting the build, i took a break til the DLC came then it did and i just realized the RNG is way too strong for me. and its not just RNG, me constantly searching thru 1000s and 1000s of equipment just to see if they have the right buff i need gets REALLLY tiring, i'd rather just turn the junk into amrita or glory. i eventually gave up barely reaching over 10k dmg lol having to spend 20-30 mins looking thru a bunch of items instead of fighting was also tiring, nd soul matching...also once a new DLC drops nearly all our current items are useless and we need new ones lol..now im at the point where idc about specific builds i just level my char and weapons up and its enough to get thru most of the games content, ive been much better off too nd having fun with the fists, messing with RNG isnt worth it imo
I can totally agree with your rant, especially when it comes to range weapon and accessory farming which almost killed it for me. Luckily I got the grace I wanted although wont bother to min max which is sad cus I love me some massive damage, but the hours is not worth it. I'll just enjoy the gameplay with the gear I have hoping that lady luck finally grants me the gear I want without focused farming.

You play with LIGHT build, in Dream of the Wise and without stone of penance +9 .... i think this build is very hard to use , with stone of penance + 9 you take one hit and u die with this build
i think he go with what he have, siriously i try building claw corupted susanoo build but with the RNG BS of this game, i finished the f ing dream of the wise with my wotd inari build because the game still until now didnt give me transfer courage which is the esential of the build that i wanted LMAO
So light builds aren't supposed to be used ever? sure it's challenging, but that's what people cry for in this game apparently. has some problems in mob like maps. but with bosses, no problems. even at +9. you stunlock them too easily to never getting hit. i played with +9 when farming gear for the build. also i never claimed this build to be easy/op/best/etc. I think tank is the way to go for wise.
Having similar build and find it very nice to play with so far. However, without the ultimate bonuses (mine in courage) it is very difficult. In general though, the game in wise is easier to digest than in the demon playthrough were if you don't have the max you are getting squashed. I like the idea of stone of penance but they should've for example allow you to add star effects on ethereal dropped by bosses in +8 or higher as a reward. That way whoever is actually investing in min maxing gets a true reward for their effort.
Totally agree with the rant I wanna try make these build but all the stupid change like getting rid of save scumming not being able to make ethereal the horrendous RNG make it tedious all the nerfing and it just ruin the game like what were these dev thinking.
Hey @PWAR was just wondering what the best stat is that affects overall dmg, would elemental weapon dmg be the best stat to try to get all across the board?
i said in the video there's no difference dmg wise. ele wpn can effect normal damage too, so it's better, but obviously you gotta have a ele buff up, which doesn't work with corruption weapons, nor poison/para buff. so depends on the build and use: poison/para/corruption = active skill. everything else = ele wpn. universal skill to kill? = skill dmg (like say windstorm/sotc/mad spinner/moonlit/etc) heavy armor usually prefers the latter as the values of active/ele are lower for hvy armor whereas normal skill dmg is 9.9% at max fam.
yeah i spent literal weeks trying to farm magatasushi's on a corrupted weapon and ranged for an melee anima gain build, i eventually gave up and while playin for fun found a scroll of the damned that had lucky drop for magatasushi, then got it within 30 min.......though it still shouldn't have taken a couple weeks just to get a melee for it, pretty fun end result tho
I like this game but once I'm done with the DLC at NG Im done. Silly that 90% of the builds in this game are above level 300, but I guess its good as well because you dont need to have a build to succeed until NG+++ and just can experiment with whatever. I'll leave the OP builds to people who have 1000 hours
Probly not surprising. went similar with my build. 7 marici 4 hayabusa 2 prolific sinner I made a paralysis build!!!! Yay!!!! And it rolls the Detroit Smash till death. (Which two limitless and they dead. But I feel it’s more relaxed than worry about procking confusion at the right time.)
My only real question is why does his health drop down to 1 when he lands the attack? Did I miss something in the explanation or just not know the game as well as I thought?
raging strike custom skill on limitless. raging strike gives biggest dmg boost of 20% but you take recoil dmg. otherwise use reckless strike, as mentioned in the skill part of the vid.
might be ps5 related perhaps, since it's launching around that time. we'll see. if they announce we can change graces or forge ethereals, then maybe there's a chance...

My 3763 mage/fist build doesnt even do that with 931 magic and the 7 piece new mage grace set with the reduce attack on magic hit set as well like wtf?

100% agree. Just play with what you got, and have fun. Worrying about builds abs specifics is what kills it for some people. I just love the combat, and if I can get things I want, it's a plus... but def not needed. It's Def better than just being able to buy the solutions, cuz mtx have ruined gaming
pretty much this, I avoid anything related to tedious grind like save scumming & sudama trading, I just make builds based on everything I have in storehouse, sure it isn't powerful 1 shot build, but then again, I play Nioh for its awesome combat
there's 2 ki bars. once first is depleted a red one will start to deplete. bosses drop when that hits zero (all the way to the left). you need to time gozuki to hit them around 70% of the red (2nd) bar usually to drop them.
Yeah I'm done. Only came back cause I got the season pass. Burning a hole in my pocket to genshin is more entertaining than playing through missions all over again. With the only difference being a set that took way too long to make.
@PWARGaming I 100% after with your rant. I played nioh 1 for over 700 hours and nioh 2 for 500 hours and at this point I have no patience or interest to keep grinding to keep up with this game. The grind is terrible and unrewarding and if they think people will continue to play their game over the list of amazing games coming out (demons souls, cyberpunk, etc...) they are out of their minds. I can’t wait to get my Ps5 with demons souls so I finally have something to play and leave this bullshit behind
This is nothing new. Afew jp player already did this. But honestly it depends on the drop of your gear. And has for me i have the Hayabusa set ethereal and the weapons with better stat and skills on them. Do evening high damage. But hack great video tho

Yeah, I'm really trying to avoid the conflicts and arguing, plus I don't want to get into it with an otherwise good creator. But you're absolutely right my dude. I play the game cuz I enjoy playing the game, and I build around what I pick up. I don't stress about it, I've been able to build everything I wanted to, now I'm just trying to finish the game, and try to get a few more builds working. As someone that just enjoys the game play, I've never had more fun with nioh than I am right now. I'm glad there's no more wasting time forging and trading, I'd much rather just get my gear by playing. And the drop rate of things is so much better than it was before, including star drops. And there's so many different builds, that have entirely different playstyles (ame no uzume, Acala, magic and ninjutsu, elemental builds, and cool and powerful abilities on scrolls). Of course if you're only looking for one thing, it can be a pain; but that's how it goes. Anyways, I'm glad someone agrees, but I'm gonna try n stay out of it after this

I've been playing alot recently and hoard everything in the storehouse so I get these anima on ninjutsu but out nearly 500 or so soil cores I have, only 1 of them has this effect. He is right about the grind part, some people enjoy it, some dont. But yeah, its his opinion and he does make great builds.
@@PWARGaming Nioh isn’t advertised as a grinding game because you don’t need a build to play the game at all. I went through all the difficulties playing like dark souls and actually fighting the boss. You make the grind for a build seem like it’s too hard when in reality it’s not. You’re not gonna get handed the rolls you want because it’s RNG. Really use your brain dude. I could get the perfect roll I want first try or it could take 100 tries because it’s RANDOM. You do not need to one shot everything to have fun. You also don’t need even close to perfect roles to do good damage. Just play the game to enjoy the combat not to stress and complain about the perfect build. You obviously need to play genshin impact instead where you can just spend money instead spending time.
The DLC was trash, it was just as short as the first one. It’s all pretty trash. Nioh 1 was longer, harder and better where you would get excited for the DLC. They shouldn’t have made nioh 2

I mostly I agree on your rant, especially stupid RNGs, but then again, I avoid making near perfect build, I just use anything that's available on my storehouse. Here's hoping they add similar defile gears on next DLC

i'm not sure you can handle well ennemies with so little ki regeneration ? Or you heavily rely on your ninjutsu ?
I'm still using my tanky dragon dance splitstaff build from the first dlc with some minor changes (extra 2 piece set bonuses for the hp increases). Its still strong and can handle all the content in the game. Its not stupid strong, but it'll let you tank almost everything thrown at you and let you heal while dealing damage. Its not super difficult to set up either.
I recently bought and beat Nioh 2 and I’m currently going thru dream of the strong….this is absolute gibberish and insanity…I ain’t ready but I wanna figure all this out

I understand WHY it's so hard to perfect a build like this, but man I wish it was just a little bit easier. The idea of having this much fun blowing stuff up at super endgame sounds amazing, but man what a chore.
I don't understand the reason for using Ho-Oh over Atlas Bear. I tested both damage outputs and Atlas Bear does more every time and by a significant margin. If anyone knows why please let me know because I am stumped.

i was wondering how you managed these builds so long, i knew they would take its toll eventually. when nioh 2 first came out i was trying to do your night blade build with the sword, 40k dmg Iai or whatever. it took me months just to barely even touch the surface of getting the build, i took a break til the DLC came then it did and i just realized the RNG is way too strong for me. and its not just RNG, me constantly searching thru 1000s and 1000s of equipment just to see if they have the right buff i need gets REALLLY tiring, i'd rather just turn the junk into amrita or glory. i eventually gave up barely reaching over 10k dmg lol having to spend 20-30 mins looking thru a bunch of items instead of fighting was also tiring, nd soul matching...also once a new DLC drops nearly all our current items are useless and we need new ones lol..now im at the point where idc about specific builds i just level my char and weapons up and its enough to get thru most of the games content, ive been much better off too nd having fun with the fists, messing with RNG isnt worth it imo

I can totally agree with your rant, especially when it comes to range weapon and accessory farming which almost killed it for me. Luckily I got the grace I wanted although wont bother to min max which is sad cus I love me some massive damage, but the hours is not worth it. I'll just enjoy the gameplay with the gear I have hoping that lady luck finally grants me the gear I want without focused farming.

You play with LIGHT build, in Dream of the Wise and without stone of penance +9 .... i think this build is very hard to use , with stone of penance + 9 you take one hit and u die with this build

i think he go with what he have, siriously i try building claw corupted susanoo build but with the RNG BS of this game, i finished the f ing dream of the wise with my wotd inari build because the game still until now didnt give me transfer courage which is the esential of the build that i wanted LMAO
So light builds aren't supposed to be used ever? sure it's challenging, but that's what people cry for in this game apparently. has some problems in mob like maps. but with bosses, no problems. even at +9. you stunlock them too easily to never getting hit. i played with +9 when farming gear for the build. also i never claimed this build to be easy/op/best/etc. I think tank is the way to go for wise.

Having similar build and find it very nice to play with so far. However, without the ultimate bonuses (mine in courage) it is very difficult. In general though, the game in wise is easier to digest than in the demon playthrough were if you don't have the max you are getting squashed.
I like the idea of stone of penance but they should've for example allow you to add star effects on ethereal dropped by bosses in +8 or higher as a reward. That way whoever is actually investing in min maxing gets a true reward for their effort.

Hey @PWAR was just wondering what the best stat is that affects overall dmg, would elemental weapon dmg be the best stat to try to get all across the board?

i said in the video there's no difference dmg wise. ele wpn can effect normal damage too, so it's better, but obviously you gotta have a ele buff up, which doesn't work with corruption weapons, nor poison/para buff. so depends on the build and use:
poison/para/corruption = active skill.
everything else = ele wpn.
universal skill to kill? = skill dmg (like say windstorm/sotc/mad spinner/moonlit/etc)
heavy armor usually prefers the latter as the values of active/ele are lower for hvy armor whereas normal skill dmg is 9.9% at max fam.

True Dragon Sword only added 20-21% boost in N1, and they downscaled it even more. I tested it, and it only gives 12% now :(
yeah i spent literal weeks trying to farm magatasushi's on a corrupted weapon and ranged for an melee anima gain build, i eventually gave up and while playin for fun found a scroll of the damned that had lucky drop for magatasushi, then got it within 30 min.......though it still shouldn't have taken a couple weeks just to get a melee for it, pretty fun end result tho
I like this game but once I'm done with the DLC at NG Im done. Silly that 90% of the builds in this game are above level 300, but I guess its good as well because you dont need to have a build to succeed until NG+++ and just can experiment with whatever. I'll leave the OP builds to people who have 1000 hours

I made a paralysis build!!!! Yay!!!! And it rolls the Detroit Smash till death. (Which two limitless and they dead. But I feel it’s more relaxed than worry about procking confusion at the right time.)

raging strike custom skill on limitless. raging strike gives biggest dmg boost of 20% but you take recoil dmg. otherwise use reckless strike, as mentioned in the skill part of the vid.

My 3763 mage/fist build doesnt even do that with 931 magic and the 7 piece new mage grace set with the reduce attack on magic hit set as well like wtf?

Kinda reminds me of MH days. When the grind felt bad till you found a weapon that was just fun to play with. Then the parts and pieces needed come eventually.
100% agree. Just play with what you got, and have fun. Worrying about builds abs specifics is what kills it for some people. I just love the combat, and if I can get things I want, it's a plus... but def not needed. It's Def better than just being able to buy the solutions, cuz mtx have ruined gaming
pretty much this, I avoid anything related to tedious grind like save scumming & sudama trading, I just make builds based on everything I have in storehouse, sure it isn't powerful 1 shot build, but then again, I play Nioh for its awesome combat

i can deplete bosses ki but i cant make them drop on their knee. what am i doing wrong?
there's 2 ki bars. once first is depleted a red one will start to deplete. bosses drop when that hits zero (all the way to the left). you need to time gozuki to hit them around 70% of the red (2nd) bar usually to drop them.

@PWARGaming I 100% after with your rant. I played nioh 1 for over 700 hours and nioh 2 for 500 hours and at this point I have no patience or interest to keep grinding to keep up with this game. The grind is terrible and unrewarding and if they think people will continue to play their game over the list of amazing games coming out (demons souls, cyberpunk, etc...) they are out of their minds. I can’t wait to get my Ps5 with demons souls so I finally have something to play and leave this bullshit behind

Yeah, I'm really trying to avoid the conflicts and arguing, plus I don't want to get into it with an otherwise good creator. But you're absolutely right my dude. I play the game cuz I enjoy playing the game, and I build around what I pick up. I don't stress about it, I've been able to build everything I wanted to, now I'm just trying to finish the game, and try to get a few more builds working. As someone that just enjoys the game play, I've never had more fun with nioh than I am right now. I'm glad there's no more wasting time forging and trading, I'd much rather just get my gear by playing. And the drop rate of things is so much better than it was before, including star drops. And there's so many different builds, that have entirely different playstyles (ame no uzume, Acala, magic and ninjutsu, elemental builds, and cool and powerful abilities on scrolls). Of course if you're only looking for one thing, it can be a pain; but that's how it goes. Anyways, I'm glad someone agrees, but I'm gonna try n stay out of it after this

I've been playing alot recently and hoard everything in the storehouse so I get these anima on ninjutsu but out nearly 500 or so soil cores I have, only 1 of them has this effect. He is right about the grind part, some people enjoy it, some dont. But yeah, its his opinion and he does make great builds.

I went through all the difficulties playing like dark souls and actually fighting the boss. You make the grind for a build seem like it’s too hard when in reality it’s not. You’re not gonna get handed the rolls you want because it’s RNG. Really use your brain dude. I could get the perfect roll I want first try or it could take 100 tries because it’s RANDOM. You do not need to one shot everything to have fun. You also don’t need even close to perfect roles to do good damage. Just play the game to enjoy the combat not to stress and complain about the perfect build. You obviously need to play genshin impact instead where you can just spend money instead spending time.

The DLC was trash, it was just as short as the first one. It’s all pretty trash. Nioh 1 was longer, harder and better where you would get excited for the DLC. They shouldn’t have made nioh 2
