Big agree on the dragon knight stuff, I play him a bunch, the frost facet is kinda cool but its really hard to ever justify, the corrosive facet could be interesting but they put the minus armor and the dot aspect together which sorta means both effects have to kinda suck and the cleave facet is just either going to be broken or shit. I'd like to see the dot aspect split from corrosive and have it become more minus armor focused and just change the fire one into something else
I agree with Sunsfan. Puppey and Parker would have the most to gain from each other. Parkers reputation is on the breaking point, who knows how this might affect him going froward if he doesnt get with a good squad. Then you have Secret and Puppey as Synd said, cant pull the elite players anymore. Puppey reaching out, taking the risk to bring Parker on board, rehabilitate him to w.e extent needed to keep Secret in discussions as a premier or high level team would be such a great success story for both of them. The risk vs reward seems to be worth it in my eyes. Puppey would not necessarily look terrible for reaching out a helping hand to a generational talent like Parker if things go south in the position Secret is right now. Parker is really the one who has alot to lose in that situation in the eyes of his peers and orgs. I agree with Sunsfan tho on that Puppey can revitalize the team and Parkers behavior. Puppey is a generational coach and player himself in many regards and maybe the only one equipped to handle a hot-headed dota god.
Hear me out, toss Fly into that mix as well. Maybe as a coach? Because Fly is really good at managing mental and physical health for whatever team he's on.
A lot of the The Dark Knight was shot in Chicago if I'm not mistaken. And if you go there the architecture is a lot more... Gothic I always thought that NYC was the real world counterpart to Metropolis.
For what it's worth, the fishing mini game had some HEAVY similarities to Stardew Valley's fishing minigame, at least once you've hooked the fish. Casting the rod was somewhat different, but once the fish is hooked they are borderline identical.
Id take the crownfall event over the battlepass system any time of the year. The event was really good, it gave some people who left/about to leave because there was just nothing else to do in DOTA itself. my friends went back to playing Dota for like 5 games to farm tokens and theyd spend massive amounts of time playing the nest of thorns.
10:49 You make it sound like it's special for Khanda that it's very strong only on a few heroes, but thats true for the majority of items... Here are a few examples: * Blade Mail - Axe, Legion * Tranquil Boots - Lion * Rod of Atos - Sky * Battle Fury - PA, AM Just to make it clear: I am also of the opinion that Khanda is too strong.
Not one of the heroes you mentioned are taken seriously at the moment except Lion who has glaring issues so isn't OP. So while your point may be correct it wouldn't make sense to talk about items that are "op" on heroes that are rubbish this patch
@69bangred I wanted to make clear that being "op" or being strong only on certain heroes are different topics. And the mentions are only a few examples. In my opinion are most items especially strong on certain heroes, while very few are generally strong. (like boots, bkb, scepter, etc.)
I like how synd went "of course I will not go through every single change in the patch" and then proceeded to go through every single change in the patch for half an hour
to Sunsfans' "one Facet always better than the other" I think this is the case only because there isn't many playstyles you can have. There's only hitting creeps style. If from one game to another you could play different styles depending on drafts, different Facets would be chosen a lot more often.
To a certain degree it's true, the game has to be rewarding enough where picking a facet that benefits skirmishing and ganking could outperform facets that makes farming more efficient. Though you could also argue that the fighting facets aren't good enough to make it appealing when compared to the opportunity cost which is a more efficient way to hit creeps and secure more farm, and gain your advantage that way. If one fight goes bad then you're behind in gold, tempo, AND tools to help you rebuild because you picked a facet that doesn't help with hitting creeps
Valve refusing to tweak the shit or unpicked Facets every single letter patch is baffling, like what's the harm? Any Dota data site will show what the least picked or least effective ones are, and Valve have their own data too. Why aren't RRP and Nothl Transfusion and Kinetic Fence and Unbearable/Bear Necessities and Curveball and Frost/Corrosive Dragons and Bad Influence and Spirit Wolves and Imbalanced and whatever else getting minor tweaks or number buffs? Whether damage or cooldown or radius or cast range or whatever ... these Facets aren't going to pick or fix themselves, and anything would help make them more effective. So many heroes don't even a choice it's so obvious what the better one is.
Also you spent all that time on the patch and no discussion about Kez? Kind of a bummer; he's already been buffed and nerfed in a bunch of different ways
I'm not even a big Batman fan, at most I've seen a handful of the films. Funny enough the first city that came to my mind was Chicago and then the next I thought it could be is NYC. They must be doing something right
Are the talent changes to luna actually that bad? In my mind getting to get the -40s eclipse cooldown talent on 15 sounds really strong. and you also get to get a better buff to lucent beam on 20. ofc the 5 lvl delay and khanda nerf affects the hero in mid game fights, i get that, but having a relatively spammable eclipse AND a buffed beam at 20 lvl sounds good. but then again i suck at this game
When has it ever gone well for 'highly skilled' toxic players in pro Dota? I feel like they hardly ever change and burn up their careers real quick. Looking at the top 100 money list the only player I notice who is known to be toxic is Skiter. Pro Dota is a team game first and a skill game second.
Does anyone think Valve will continue with these big crown fall type events in the future? I really hope they do, made me really enjoy playing Dota again having things to work for
Medusa aspect is overallnerfed, but it is heavily buffed in games against SD. Manashield nerf won't affect pos1 medusa as much as it might seem, but for other rolls it is a big nerf

@@deathpyre42 Yeah I can agree with that.
Te only problem is that Parker doesnt know english xd
💯 Low risk, high reward for Puppey and Secret.
That exactly what Fishman did with Entity inviting Pure after “Z” incident and Pure was insane in Entity
1:12:04 fishing is from stardew valley
Or Zelda ocarina of time

hey sunsfan thoughts on a ned kelly character in your game

Just want to say.... Duel Lane Challenge is some of my favorite content on TH-cam and I would love a reboot of the series!
1:04:04 time to watch FISSURE PLAYGROUND qualifiers!
the actress plays Leonardo DiCaprio's wife in Wolf of Walstreet before Margot Robbie, among others
Sunsfan @4:29 with his Peter Griffin moment 😂
No Blessing|Curse segment?

Nest of Thorns would've been great as an event with a lot of hero choices and more maps/stages. But that way it should be available to everyone.
Penguin is god tier TV
And all Batman fans know that Gotham is a mix-up of Chicago and New York (sometimes Detroit) depending on the writer.
When Synderen said he didn't really know US cities well, I had to look up his nationality because he sounds American. I cannot believe he's Danish lol
The fishing game i think is from Zelda Ocarina of time fishing minigame.

HBO is just top tier.
Sunsfan pls be merciful... u can't just tease with an NBA segment then abandon it next week. Still waiting for this seasons NBA player/team tier list.
No nba segment cause suns are playing bad
are the majority of the podcast listeners from the US?
As non american, who cares about NBA? I always skip it 🤷♂️
As an american, and a (dormant) suns fan at that -- me too. But I respect the passion.
They're definitely not
wth please nerf cm
Lol sunsfan can't pronounce penguin 😂
oof
